As asked they all gathered in the Grand Alpha’s office and waited for the couple to arrive. When they entered and saw they were wearing different clothes Lucas winked at his sister and seeing her blush but grin Jonas turned and a small growl left him. Lucas stopped smiling at once. Jonas cleared his throat and was about to start when Genni touched his shoulder. She linked with him and told him not everyone was present yet. Almost as she said it there was a small knock on the door, Genni went to open the door and ushered in her Beta and her Gamma. ‘How do you feel now?’ Genni asked Sara, ‘I’m ok. This turning 18 shit isn’t easy is it then realising whose presence she was in bowed her head and apologised to all present. Genni just grabs her by the arm and slipping hers through Sara’s she leads her Gamma and Beta to the seating area. Jonas smiled at his mate and her friend, he knew that Genni had made a few new friends while she had been here but nothing like the bond of friendship he could see these two shared. Realising that Genni sat down with her friend my mind linked to her quickly. Looking up at her husband she smirked and told him back that he’d had enough of her for a few hours. This made him laugh out loud and everyone turned to look at him and maybe share the joke. Lucas was once again the first to catch on and quickly covered his ears with his hands and said ‘no, don’t ask TMI!’. Giggling at her brother, the fool. Genni looked back at Jonas and could see him shaking his head but in an amused way. Once everyone settled down Jonas began telling them what had happened to him when he had met the Goddess. He left out the part about a sacrifice being made. He couldn’t bring himself to think about it let alone talk about it. When he was finished telling everyone his father spoke up ‘I am sure I heard stories as a boy and Mage being involved in the werewolf's creation but we never took it seriously. You know what a proud breed we are and accepting that a Mage had helped, it wouldn’t have been something easily accepted or spoken about. Nodding her head in agreement Rosemary added her opinion ‘I also remember the stories about Mage and Dragons and the Faye but never was it said seriously’. They were all speaking quietly to one another when Genni gasped. Jonas was looking at her for a second, fearing for her but it wasn’t Jonas she was looking at with concern written all over her face it was Sara. ‘Mom’ gasped Sara, looking a little frantic now. ‘Mom, what's happening? This shouldn’t happen until tonight, you said tonight!’ Almost shouting the last part at her mother who was looking around frantically for her mate. Seeing him she didn’t even bother with the mind link, ‘help me take her outside, she is about to have her first shift’. Peter rushed over and picked up his daughter and looking to the Alpha in a silent plea, Jonas moved to open the door and said to the Urbana’s to go. Genni made to follow her best friend but Jonas laid his hand on her arm, stopping her. ‘I need to be with her’ she said in an authoritative tone that Jonas didn’t expect to hear. Removing his arm as he had no choice he let Genni fly out after her friend. ‘I guess the meeting is over’ he said. And left to follow his mate. When he got outside he could see Sara was on the floor and in agony, her father had shifted already but Molly just whispered reassuring words to Sara. Genni was looking at her friend with worry etched all over her face, ‘Sara? Sweetie, what's wrong are you hurt?
Gasping for air Sara managed to say, ‘SHIFTING!’ Molly gasped now and looking at Genni she said, ‘It’s too early. Her birthday is not for another day and a half. How can this happen? Genni looked at Molly and then at her friend, understanding now Genni knew what to do. She started to strip, right there in front of the pack house, Jonas had taught her that her body was beautiful and nothing to be ashamed of. A few pack members stopped to watch what was happening. Genni started to shimmer as her shift started and quick as a flash there stood Sapphire looking at everything a Demi-god should look like. Jonas ran out of the pack house as Genni turned into Sapphire and sensing something was wrong he too shifted and soon enough Jax stood next to his mate. Sapphire was able to link with Sara and started telling her that it will be ok, this first shift is the worse and far more painful than any of the others so when you’ve shifted a few times you don’t even feel it. Sara was still gasping for air when she fell to the ground and everyone could hear her bones crack as her body morphed into that of a beautiful chestnut wolf with a red streak running from her head to her tail. She was gorgeous. Sapphire was about to speak to her again when Greg walked out of the pack house like he was in a trance, he walked over to the chestnut nut wolf. The first thing the chestnut wolf did was rub her head and muzzle on Greg’s arm. He looked into her eyes and said ‘MATE!.
The chestnut wolf jumped around him like a puppy dog and without warning Greg Shifted into Seb, tearing his clothes in the process. The chestnut wolf walked over to her mate and now they were both wolves she butted him under his chin and he rubbed his muzzle on her head, the chestnut wolf then walked over to Sapphire, she wasn’t the biggest wolf but she looked sleek and powerful. She rubbed her head under Sapphire's muzzle and Sapphire did it back, then the shimming was happening again and Genni stood before them. She put her hands on the beautiful chestnut and touched her foreheads with the wolf Genni announced that the chestnut wolf was called Crystal and Greg-Seb is her mate. Crystal then walked over to her mom but not before lowering her front half in a bow to Jax and Genni. Molly looked at her daughter with tears in her eyes and declared that Crystal was the most beautiful wolf she had ever seen. Unnoticed by everyone Peter, followed by everyone in the meeting was standing on the steps watching. But now Peter went to his mate and daughter. Smoothing the coat of the wolf. He had tears in his eyes when he looked at Molly and they both started to cry with joy. Jonas spoke then, ‘It is customary in my pack that any newly turned wolf gets to rune the perimeter of the pack house with their parents. It is a tradition. Smiling now at the three wolves that were now standing where Molly and Peter had stood. They waited, not for Jonas to permit them, he had already done that when he told them it was customary, no, they waited for their luna to say they could leave to go on the run. As Genni said ‘You may go, and enjoy this time it is special’. Then everyone heard a loud whine and turning they could see Seb sitting like a good boy with his tongue lolling around and looking straight at Crystal. Molly's mind linked with Genni and said simply, the mate can come too. And when Genni told Seb that he could go with the family as he was now a part of it he made the distance in one bound which made everyone laugh. Crystal bounce over to Seb who was still jumping in excitement and started to copy him. They were both making a yipping kind of sound, and it was loud. So Jonas, who had shifted back, called to the family and told them to ‘go, now’. The Urbana family plus Greg ran full speed into the forest and were very soon out of sight. Turning to go back inside and smiling a genuinely happy smile for her best friend, Genni was about to tell Jonas something when a loud howl rang out. Everyone froze at the heartbreaking sound. It wasn’t a howl you would hear every day for this howl was a howl of anguish and sorrow. As Genni and Jonas were naked they were the first to shift followed by Phil and then Rosemary. Genni couldn’t help but marvel at her in-laws. Phil was black with white tips to his ears and was huge, not quite as big as Jonas but not that far off. Rosemary on the other hand was a beautiful smoky grey colour, there also seemed to be a hew of blue running through her coat. Looking at Genni quickly Jonas linked and told her that these stunning wolves behind them were called Mara and Jorah. Bowing her large head Sapphire showed respect for the former Grand Alpha and Luna. They bowed in return then all four wolves darted toward the sound of the howl.
