After I finished speaking, my father spoke up. His voice held a hint of emotion, but nothing more. 'And what of your brother? Do I just forget about the fact he is missing?' My father stared at me for a few seconds of incredulous shock, then I could see him back down. I let out the breath I hadn't realised I was holding. ''With me training, I can enhance my abilities, and that will benefit Lucas and our attempts to find him''. I tried to placate my father after the lecture I had just given him, and I think it worked, as I saw what was left of the fight in him dispel.
I rushed forward, once again his daughter and not his luna. I was grateful and relieved when I saw his arms opening to me. I held onto my father and spoke softly to him. Reassuring him that Lucas was a priority and would be dealt with swiftly. I could feel him nodding his head softly, and then I heard him apologise. Not just to me, but also to Jonas.
Jonas walked over and clapped my father on the back, and assured him that Lucas would be found. And quickly. Watching my father leave our apartment looking so dejectedly broke my heart.
