Chapter 62 PROMISE AT NINE O’CLOCK
Medea's POV
"Wait you're saying she did what to you?" I asked my younger sister for about the umpteenth time. She was scouring through my wardrobe looking for something to wear on her person she had already gotten a quick shower and now was constantly mumbling to herself as she was looking through my wardrobe complaining that everything was too big on her.
"No offense but does this close actually fit you?" She said deflecting from the conversation and picking out a blue sundress holding it up with the hanger. I blushed on my cheeks turned a rosy pink I have indeed been eating a bit more than usual and adding weight here and there but Raphael didn't have one single complaint about it he said I was still as beautiful as ever and nothing could ever change that even just a little bit of weight wouldn't make a difference to him.
"It's that bad you're making a big deal out of it, besides that's not what I was asking you just now didn't you just tell me that woman suddenly grabbed a more pocket and threw the water at you for no reason?" I asked her as I sat on my bed and watched her go through more of my clothes her mumbling intensifying and making it harder for me not to just grab her by her hair and just drag her out of my room if she was going to be such a brat.
"Yes, I don't know what else you want me to say. Are you taking that woman's side over my own? I already told you everything that's happened I was taking the maids somewhere to clean up and then when she saw what was happening she snatched the bucket from one of them and dumped the water all over me, she's crazy and completely out of her mind." Eclipse said throwing her hands in the heir then snapped her head at me, "and you you're supposed to be my sister I'm helping you out of your little debacle right to now and you're supposed to be helping me too."
I sighed with my full chest, this was exactly why I didn't want to go to her for help in the first place. She would make sure that she would constantly rub it all over my face and remind me that I couldn't really do anything without her support.
"Why would I possibly ever take that woman's side? But you were the one telling me that we needed to be careful with her. She is not the type that would just provoke without being struck first."
My sister gave me a look that could burn through steel.
"Sis how about I just walk out right now? I can grab one of these baggy dresses of yours and just step out of the whole situation and let you deal with it I'm sure I'll be able to figure out a way to live the rest of my life but I don't know about you. What do you think is the punishment for deceiving the Alpha?"
She stomped closer, "How do you think the elders are going to look at you when they find out you've been lying to their faces and taking them for a ride?"
I turned my neck because she was now all over my face and yelling.
"This would not have happened if you had just listened to my advice and not done anything and the reason why I have to sort this out for you right now was that you put yourself in this position in the first place so don't go complaining about anything when I'm the one helping you out."
I bit so far into my bottom lip that I almost could taste blood then pulled away before it could get worse than that she was my younger sister and here she was writing me like I was nothing more than a little child I hated that she had more cunning than me and made full use while rubbing it in my face.
She finally picked out a peach dress of mine, which did not fit right a few weeks back, and even on her it looked loose, I began to feel subconscious over my body again but it was the thought I had to repress to the corner of my mind because right now there were bigger fish to fry.
I curled my fingers on my lap and asked her what I was going to do now that time was not on our side. There had to be something I could do right now.
"All right, so this is what I was thinking..." She said, "Maybe postpone the celebration till next month..."
I frowned at this idea immediately, everything had already been prepared. Postponing was no longer an option. She continued along with that idea even with the several clearly written all over my face.
"... If we can postpone it till next month then it will give me enough time for the other part of my plan."
"What's the other part of your plan?" I asked her with desperate curiosity she swept her eyes around and then returned them to me, her face becoming more serious.
"Okay I'm going to tell you but you have to promise that you won't make a big deal out of it and understand that I am only saying this because as your sister I want to help you..." I was getting really skeptical about what she wanted to say but no matter how bratty and annoying my sister could get in the end whatever she did was always for my own good.
At least most of the time it was.
"Okay I trust you whatever it is I'm sure that I can do it "
There was still a mask all over her face but she seemed willing to help.
"Fine this is it, I want you to come to my home around 9:00 tonight, make sure that nobody is aware of your absence then I'll tell you the next part of my plan."
