CHAPTER THIRTY

Bella's POV

After consoling and listening to Fiona's story, I went back to the kitchen to meet Melissa so that I can continue my work. I met her where she's doing her chores.

"Why did you behave like that to Fiona when you know she's in trouble at least you should have assist her, you shouldn't have done that you know?" I said annoying

"You shouldn't blame me for what I do or for what happen today, you know why I said that? It's because I don't want to be in trouble and I also don't want to lose this work. I don't think you know what you're doing Bella, you see that Ricardo, he's a very wicked person in this mansion and I don't want to be in his trap" she said and I was so confused about what she's saying

"See, stop speaking in parables, I don't understand what you're saying" I said

"You don't have to know or understand now but with time you will know when you are familiar with everything in this mansion" she said

I shrug my shoulder and continue my work

After few hours

I sat alone in my room as I tried to get some things done in my room but I just couldn't. My mind wasn't on what I was doing. It kept reverting back to what happened earlier.

It just feel as if all that had happened was some sort of dream. It felt like it didn't really happen. Oh how I wish it was that ricardo guy will be punished.

I stood up in frustration. I couldn't focus on what I was doing so what's the use? How can this mansion be full of evil people? How I wish I killed the all because they're so wicked

Even though I wanted to, I couldn't. How can madam Lucy behave like that to Fiona? Is it because she said they're relatives? Even so madam Lucy shouldn't have done something like that to her maids who is working under her. How I wish I could seek revenge for her but It will be really hard for me to do it

I don't think I should tell Melissa about it because she will be disappointed that I want to do something so grievous as that

I know how heartbroken she woukd be if she founds out that I want to help Fiona whereas we're still planning our own mission so I just couldn't tell her.

She will even asked me why I want to do that for Fiona, when she knows that Fiona is not my friend.It pained me that something like this is going on in the mansion and the queen did not know about it, Hmm, but what could I do? Let me just be watching them till I know what to do about it

Let me quickly go to her room before madam Lucy comes back from where she went and I think it will be late before she comes back but how I wish she didn't come back again.

I left for Melissa's room and I saw that she just entered her room and I was wondering where she went when we left the kitchen

"You just came back to your room? Where are you before? Because I can still remember that we left the kitchen together, so why are you just coming to your room now?" I question her

She looks shocked as she hear my voice and she said " Bella, what are you doing here? Do you want to get caught up by madam Lucy? Are you not afraid? " she said

"Nobody can catch me and moreover madam Lucy is not in the mansion at the moment so there's no way I'm going to get caught" I said to her

"You haven't answered my question Melissa, I said where are you coming from? Or you don't want to tell me about it, that's why you are covering my question with questions right?" I asked with disappointment

"Why would you say something like that? Huh, you know I can't keep anything away from you ever since you are my friend and I cherish this friendship" she said

"Are you sure you cherish this friendship? If that's true I want you to tell me what you know about Fiona and I also want to know where you are coming from" I asked eagerly hoping she will answer my question.

"if that's what you want for you to know that I cherish this friendship we share I will tell you but about Fiona I don't think I can tell you that but with times I will tell and I also know that she has told you her own part of the story, so why do you want to know more, my dearly friend I will implore you that you should take it easy in this mansion, it's not as easy as you think" she said

"Alright I have understand you, so will you tell me where you are coming from now because I can see that your actions is becoming suspicious, Is that not so?" I said mockingly

She eyed me smiling and said "Well, let me tell you about that since I know that you won't give me peace of mind if I don't tell you"

"Why would you say that? I just want to know where you are coming from, is that too much to ask? Let me just mind my business then" I said pretending to be angry

"I don't want people to know about what I am about to tell you but since you are my friend, I will tell you" she come close to me and whispers into my hear

"Haa, you don't mean it? It's a lie, I can't believe that" I said not believing my ears

"You know I can't lie about it and I also can't lie to you in this kind of environment, I'm saying the truth but if you don't believe me it's up to you"
