Chapter 47

Chapter 47
King Brayns POV
I was sitting in the living room talking with Leon when Rebecca came back. I tried to leave, and she wanted me to stay. I heard their entire conversation. There were things he said that I knew were true. Because of what I watched and what my father had told me. However, some of what he said made me question it. I will investigate what he is saying. He then mentioned that he wanted to go get his brother, Ray. I told him that I would send guards with him to get his brother. I sent thirty with him. I wanted them protected while he went to get him. They are princes after all and deserve to be treated like royalty.
There was a concern that they might want to fight for the crown. That was a concern; however, I don't think that they will. They have had all this time to try and challenge me for the crown, but they have decided not to. It was definitely interesting that they would finally decide to come out of hiding. I was not worried about them trying anything. I was worried about what Rebecca would feel and how she was thinking. I really did not like her first reaction to him. She thought that he was going to hurt me. Then, after that, she did not want to see him until I pushed the issue. I left the choice up to her. But deep down, it would make me happy to see them together.
Leon left to go get Ray. I had no idea whether they would come in together or whether Ray would continue to prefer hiding. I do not blame him for that. After all these years, I'm sure that there are still people who want to hunt them down and kill them. After all, I am the king of the vampires, and if I thought they were going to be a threat to Rebecca or me, I would kill them. But it does not seem that way. Even though they are vampires, I'm going to get a witch to cast a true spell on them. Even vampires can be cursed by witches, and we are more susceptible to spells and curses.
Which you would think that, since we are supposed to be the walking dead, we can not fall victim to witchcraft. However, we are just like people. Some of us were humans before we became vampires. There are even half-breeds. Half vampires and half humans, which is what Rebecca and her brothers are. Did they know what kind of life she had before I found her? Did they even have a clue where to start looking for her? These are questions I want to ask both of them. Rebecca was sitting on my lap. There was a commotion out in the hallway.
Rebecca jumped up and hid behind me as I approached the door. I slowly opened the door. As I opened the door, a body came flying through. It was one of my guards that had been standing guard outside the door. Then six huge werewolves came running into the room. Great, now we are dealing with werewolves. One of them tried to go after Rebecca. She ran to the corner and grabbed the fireplace poker. She stabbed one through the heart. She then turned into this red glowing vampire with wings.
She was beautiful. She had beautiful wings, and her nails were long and glowing. I knew exactly what she was now. She was a fairy and vampire. I had never seen this before. Her mother was not only a witch but also a fairy. No wonder people got mesmerized when she danced. That was a trait of a fairy. What did I get blessed with? She had all the weaknesses of vampires and fairies. Did the people who took her know what she was? The power she holds? The werewolves wanted her for that as well. I needed to protect her even more now. That meant that her brothers were also fairies and vampires. No wonder why they were attacked.
None of this has been documented or recorded. This kind of thing was kept secret for a reason. She was attacking the werewolves with such hatred in her eyes that for a moment I thought that I had lost her. That meant her grandfather was the king of the fairies and still alive. I had a meeting with him several years ago. He had said that he was searching for his lost granddaughter. I would never have thought that, in a million years, Rebecca would have been the one he was looking for. They must have used iron on her mother to be able to kill her.
"Baby, please calm down."
She looked at me. My men were taking care of the rest of the werewolves. I needed to get Rebecca to calm down. I slowly approached her. She was slowly coming back down to the ground. She started to change back to herself. She was still growling when I approached her. Just as I was getting her to fully calm down, Leon ran into the room.
" What happened?"
" Is Rebecca ok?"
Rebecca had a cut from the fireplace poker. It was bleeding badly. Then I remembered it was iron. She had cut herself with iron. I needed to get her to the fairy doctor. Only they could heal her.
"Do your people have a doctor?"
" I am the doctor."
"She cut herself with iron."
He immediately started to work on her wound. Thankfully, it was a small cut. He pulled out a vial of blue liquid.
" Get her to drink this."
I held her nose and made her drink it. She coughed and spit some out. But she got more in her than she spit out. I looked at the wound, and it was healing. She was lying in my lap. She had passed out.
"I'm going to take her to bed, then you and I have a lot to discuss."
" Yes, your majesty."
I slowly walked up the stairs to our room. I gently laid her on the bed. I covered her up. She had some blood on her, but I would give her a bath when she woke up. I then headed back downstairs to the kitchen. Leon was sitting at the table with another man that I assumed was his brother, Ray. I looked at him; he had pointed ears and fangs.
