Chapter 53 Jennifer Faints!
Jennifer was lying unconscious in her room.
Gerald, panicked, immediately rushed over to her. The look of concern was clear on Gerald's handsome, stern face.
Quickly, Gerald picked up Jennifer and laid her on the bed.
Gerald touched Jennifer's forehead, "Oh my God... Moon Goddess, Jenny is hot! She has a fever!"
"What, Alpha? A fever? How is that possible? Is it because of... her injury? But..." John looked confused.
"No need to discuss it now. Quickly!! Call the doctor!!" Gerald shouted as he held Jennifer's hand tightly to circulate her body heat and slightly reduce her fever.
"O-okay, Alpha!" John immediately went out and grabbed his cell phone to call the doctor.
"Jenny! Hang in there!" Gerald looked increasingly worried as Jennifer began to shiver slightly.
"It's cold..." Jennifer's weak voice could be heard faintly.
"I know, hang in there, sweetheart...! Where is that damn doctor? When will he arrive?" Gerald stared sharply and menacingly at John.
"Calm down, Alpha! The doctor is on his way here! I'm sure Mrs. Jenny will recover, after all, she's... a werewolf! Her strength is greater than that of ordinary humans!" John said, trying to calm him down.
"You're right! But look! Why is her body so fragile now?" Gerald W. is a little confused.
"Could it be... because her wolf hasn't appeared yet, Alpha? Or because she lost her memory, so her wolf didn't appear?" John asked, a little afraid.
Alpha Gerald turned to Beta John and thought to himself, 'Could it be? Because she lost her memory, her body, and her wolf instincts didn't appear?'
"I don't know! Beta John! Maybe I'll talk to Doctor Moore about it later! But right now, the most important thing is, where is that damn doctor? Huh? Tell him that if he's not here in 5 minutes, he can forget about seeing the sun tomorrow! Tell him that!" Alpha Gerald growled, and his eyes began to glint menacingly.
"O-okay, Alpha!" John could only bow respectfully and take his cell phone out of his pocket as he slowly walked out of the room.
Gerald looked at Jenny and continued to hold her hand. Gerald occasionally rubbed his hand against Jenny's hand or face.
"I beg you... wake up, Jenny... forgive me..." Alpha Gerald continued to talk incessantly.
Not long after, someone approached Alpha Gerald. Gerald turned his head.
John and a doctor dressed in white approached the same doctor who had come before.
"I'm here... sorry, the traffic was a little congested... so..." panting, the doctor tried to explain.
"I don't need your explanation! Hurry! Check my wife!" Gerald stared, his eyes filled with a frightening yet worried glint.
"O-okay, Mr. Williams, but could you move aside for a moment? So I can check your wife?" the doctor, who looked a little scared, spoke slowly.
Gerald just nodded, then stood a little further away.
After several doctors examined her, Gerald hurriedly approached them, "How is she, Doc? What's wrong with my wife?"
"It seems your wife has a fever because of... a scratch on her hand, but I've given her medicine, and she'll be awake soon! And it seems that besides her injury, she fainted because of exhaustion and not eating. May I know what actually happened here? Why does she have scratch wounds like she was clawed by a wild animal?" asked the doctor curiously.
John suddenly stepped forward, "Doctor, if there's nothing else you want to say, let me take you out of the room!"
"But I..." The doctor was about to argue again, but John held out his hand again.
"Come on, Doctor... The driver is waiting for you downstairs, and we have transferred your medical expenses!" John exclaimed again.
The doctor looked confused, 'It seems... they don't like me asking questions... Ah, never mind, it's none of my business! The important thing is that I have done my duty and they have paid! I almost lost my life if I had come late! It seems… they’re not ordinary people, and I shouldn’t carelessly offend them! Look, this penthouse is heavily guarded! Who are they really? Ah, never mind! It’s none of my business either! They paid a lot, it seems, to keep me quiet!’
"Hmm!" The doctor just nodded.
"Excuse me, Mr. Williams!" the doctor called out again.
Gerald, who was sitting next to the bed, holding Jennifer's hand again, just waved one hand without turning his head.
Not long after, the doctor walked out of the room, accompanied by John.
Gerald, who was still looking down sadly, was startled when someone suddenly opened his door.
"Brak!"
"I told you not to let anyone into my wife's room! She..." Alpha Gerald didn't continue his sentence when he turned his head.
"Mommy? Daddy? What's wrong with Mommy? Why is she just lying there? Is Mommy sick?" Alex, who had been waiting for a long time in his room, felt anxious because his Mommy hadn't come back to see him. He had a bad feeling, which is why he went to look for his Mommy's room even though he had been forbidden to do so by the housekeeper. This made Alex even more suspicious that something had happened to his Mommy. With a terrible look on his face and a strong urge, he entered his mommy's room.
Alpha Gerald swallowed hard as he approached his son and said, "Your mommy has a fever. It seems she hasn't eaten anything since morning, so her body is weak!"
Alex tried to climb onto his mommy's bed, but Gerald stopped him. "Alex, don't do that. Don't disturb her. Let your mommy rest; she just took medicine from the doctor! It's better if we go out for a bit... how about it?"
"But Daddy, I want to take care of mommy... can't I just stay here? I promise not to disturb Mommy's rest! Please, Daddy... please?" Alex cupped his hands over his chest and begged his father with tears beginning to fall.
"Alright! But promise me you won't make any noise or cry? But only for a little while, okay?" Gerald exclaimed.
"I promise, Daddy! I'll just sit quietly until Mommy wakes up!" Alex exclaimed, wiping away his tears and holding up his index and middle fingers to make a solemn promise.
Gerald smiled stiffly and ruffled his son's hair, "Come here! Sit on Daddy's lap!"
"No way! Daddy, I'm already big! I don't want to sit on your lap! Mommy rarely gets sick! But every time Mommy gets sick, I take care of her, Daddy! Because Mommy usually doesn't want Grandpa and Grandma to know that she's sick! So I'm used to taking care of her! Did you know, Daddy? I even sometimes prepare breakfast for the two of us... because..." Alex chattered while gently massaging his mother's hand, and then turned his head and fell silent when he saw the change in his father's expression.
"Daddy? Daddy, what's wrong? Did I say something to offend you?" Alex looked uneasy seeing his dad seeming sad.
"Ah, no! Keep talking! Daddy is happy to hear it. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you... You must have had a lot of difficulties... Are Grandma and Grandpa good to you?" Gerald asked with a bit of hesitation, worried about offending Alex's feelings.
“It’s not your fault, Daddy! I know you didn’t do it on purpose, right? Of course! Grandma and Grandpa are the best people in the world, whom I love after Mommy!” Alex said enthusiastically.
Gerald looked sad again, ‘Thank goodness the people who found Jenny turned out to be good people! Though… I’m not called their child, that’s understandable, we’ve only just met… and…’
Alpha Gerald’s daydream was interrupted when Alex suddenly shouted.
“Daddy!! Look!! Mommy… she…”
