Hi everyone, Lilandra here. Thank you all so very much for reading my book.

I’ve always loved telling stories and writing this book after staying away from storytelling for several years has felt like returning to something I’ve always loved. This is the first book I’ve ever completed and I was so excited that you all could come along with me on this journey.

Some of you were wondering why the chapters towards the end of the story seemed to be uploading slowly. That was entirely my fault. I wasn’t satisfied with the way I had initially ended the story so I rewrote the ending completely. I had initially planned for Jason to take out Thornbury, but that just didn’t sit right with me after I read it over. Amelia’s character needed to come full circle and face her past and her trauma and overcome it in the end. Plus the thought of Amelia snapping his neck was very cathartic so I wanted to share that with you all. LOL!

I guess that was what I wanted to achieve with writing this story. I wanted to write a satisfying story that made the reader smile. Something that would make me smile if I read it myself. And I had gotten really tired of the usual tropes in a lot of stories. Things like toxic or violent leads, endless miscommunication, and some rather abusive behavior from almost all the characters in those stories. So I wanted to write a ‘fluffy’ love story for once.

For me, the biggest test to writing this story was if I was smiling like an idiot while I was writing. Which I did… for most of the book. And I actually squealed while I was writing some chapters… you all know which ones ;). I hope you were all smiling and squealing alongside me while I took you on this journey.

After reading the epilogue, you all could probably tell that there will be a book two coming sometime soon. The main characters of the second book have already been introduced, but I’m not going to spoil it for anyone just yet. Even though some of you were absolutely spot on with your comments and guesses. And there were a couple of you who noticed little hints here and there pointing to the answers very early in the story. So I’m sure you guys can already guess who those main characters would be.

I also wanted to thank you all for all the wonderful comments. I was starting to wonder if I was still any good at this, and all your comments gave me the push to finish the story. So I just wanted to say thank you to all of you from the bottom of my heart.

So, what’s next?

I have another story that has been rattling around in my brain for years. I had initially started making it into a webcomic but I think I’m going to finish writing that first and upload it here. And I hope you all enjoy reading that story just as much.
