Chapter 214
Chapter 214
What should I do?
Azel wants to have lunch with me, and even Lauren wants me to join them. It's my first day at work, and I need to bond with my colleagues. Lauren is sweet enough to ask me to join them for lunch. If I say no to her, it will sound rude. What should I do? I didn't want to say no to either of them. I got a message from Azel again. He was sending me question marks. He was waiting for my reply. Azel will understand if I don't eat lunch with him. We can eat lunch together on some other day. I took a deep breath.
“Yeah sure, let’s go,” I told Lauren with a smile. She smiled back when I agreed. I immediately sent a message to Azel.
“Next time. Eating lunch with colleagues today,” I sent the message, and I got the reply immediately.
“The very first day at the office and you already forgot about your husband,” he sent the message with a sad emoji. Like always, dramatic.
“I will eat my dinner with you,” I sent a message with a heart emoji. He sent the reply immediately once again.
“Or better be my dinner tonight,” he had sent the message with an evil emoji. I chuckled while reading it. As if he would not make me his dinner if I refuse.
“Texting your boyfriend?” Lauren asked me when she saw that silly smile on my face. I looked up at her and nodded my head with that silly smile still on my face. Not my boyfriend but my husband, but I didn't correct her. I don't want those weird looks that I get when people find out I am married at such a young age. I don't want it now.
“Is he in school with you, or is he in college?” Lauren asked me while closing her laptop before going to lunch.
“Actually, he works at a company,” I told her, and her eyes widened. She guessed that he must be older.
“So you are into older men. Older men are hot anyways. My boyfriend and I have only six months of difference, and I am older than him,” she told me. Well, I always wanted an older man because Azel, my first love, was older than me. She told me more about her boyfriend. She told me he works at a different company and he is an architect. After that, the three of us went to the cafeteria to have lunch. I had had a heavy breakfast in the morning, so I was not so hungry. I decided to take a salad to fill me up so I don’t get hungry till dinner.
“I’m going to get cold coffee. Do you want it?” Tyler asked us. I moved my head in the negative, but Lauren wanted it, so she nodded her head. I spend my lunch talking and laughing with them. I was busy laughing when I saw Azel entering the cafeteria, and for a few seconds everyone went quiet. It seemed like he didn't come to the cafeteria. His eyes found me. I know he is here to check if I am eating my lunch. He was here with someone.
“He is hot,” Lauren said while her gaze was fixed on Azel. My eyes narrowed when she said that, but she didn't know he is my husband or that he is married. He is still an eligible bachelor here.
“He is very,” I agreed with her. He was looking smoking hot in his black suit. His hair lazily falling on his forehead made him look even more sexy. If we were home, I would have jumped his bones. I would have made him my lunch before he could make me his dinner.
“He is a whole package. His girlfriend is going to be so lucky,” Lauren said, sounding a little jealous, and it made me chuckle. She has no idea she is talking to his wife.
“I am so jealous of her,” I said, and Lauren chuckled with a nod. Tyler walked to us with two glasses of cold coffee.
“Strange, what is he doing here? He never comes to the cafeteria,” Tyler said while taking his seat. Even Lauren nodded her head.
“He must be here to check something,” I said, and they agreed with me. We three kept looking at him until he left with the man he came with. After lunch we got back to work. This time Tyler gave some paper to make copies. He even gave a small task on the laptop to complete. I made a mistake once, but he taught me, and I did right the second time. Azel didn't call me again, nor did Olivia bother me again. Azel was still working in the office when I left for home. I message him to come home soon before leaving.
“How was your first day?” Uncle and Aunty both asked me when I entered the living room.
“At least let my baby sit. She just came back from the office,” Grandma said, and I sat beside her. I hugged her from the side, and she patted my arm.
“Right. I will ask a helper to bring water. She must be tired and thirsty,” Aunty said while immediately calling the helper. Even Azel didn't get this kind of treatment on his very first day after office. They pampered me.
“I am making your favorite food for dinner,” Aunty said, making me grin.
“Go take a rest. I will call you when dinner is ready,” she told me, and I nodded. I went to my room to freshen up and rest until Azel came. I wanted to eat my dinner with him, but he was still not here. I took a rest. Even after one hour he was not home. I kept looking at the clock. I was hungry and waiting for him. I had asked him to come home soon. I huffed in annoyance.
Then why is he still not here?
