Chapter 171 THE WAR BETWEEN MOTHER AND DESTINY

Chapter 171 THE WAR BETWEEN MOTHER AND DESTINY
The fortress was no longer a home.
It had become a battlefield.
The moment Amanda’s daughter said she was waking up, the air changed completely. Wolves across the territory felt it. The pack felt it. The world felt it.
The child floated slowly in Amanda’s arms, her body glowing with golden light.
She was no longer just a baby.
Her aura filled the chamber.
Amanda felt her heart tearing apart.
“Stop,” she whispered, her voice shaking. “Please stop.”
The child looked at her gently.
“I am not hurting anyone,” she said.
But the walls were cracking.
The sky was splitting.
The moon was trembling.
Ethan stepped forward, his Alpha aura clashing with the child’s power.
“Control yourself,” he said firmly.
The child looked at him calmly.
“I am not out of control,” she replied.
Andrew stood beside Amanda, his face pale.
“Amanda,” he whispered, “if she keeps awakening, the world will not survive this.”
Amanda felt her knees weaken.
Her daughter turned toward her again.
Her golden eyes softened.
“Mother,” she said quietly.
“Yes,” Amanda whispered.
“Why are they afraid of me?” the child asked.
Amanda’s tears fell freely.
“Because they do not understand you,” she said.
The child was silent for a moment.
Then she said something that shattered Amanda’s soul.
“Do you understand me?”
Amanda could not answer immediately.
She looked at her daughter.
She loved her.
But she did not understand her.
And that terrified her.
Outside the fortress, the sky roared.
The prophecy had fully awakened.
And the world had begun to choose sides.

By dawn, the pack had split.
Some wolves stood with Amanda.
Others stood with the council.
Fear had divided them.
Hope had disappeared.
In the great hall of the fortress, wolves gathered on opposite sides.
Ethan stood at the center.
His face was cold.
His heart was torn.
“As Alpha,” he said, his voice echoing through the hall, “I will not allow a civil war.”
The council leader stepped forward.
“Then choose,” he said.
Ethan clenched his fists.
Andrew stood beside Amanda, holding her hand tightly.
Amanda held her daughter close to her chest.
Her daughter was quiet now.
Watching.
Listening.
Understanding.
The council leader pointed at the child.
“If she continues to exist,” he said, “the world will end.”
He turned to Ethan.
“Choose your pack,” he said.
Silence filled the hall.
Ethan looked at Amanda.
He looked at the child.
He looked at the pack.
For the first time in his life, the Alpha did not know what to do.
Then he spoke.
“I choose humanity,” he said quietly.
The hall froze.
Amanda felt her heart shatter.
Ethan looked at her.
His voice was painful.
“I will not kill your child,” he said.
“But I will not protect her either.”
The council nodded slowly.
Andrew felt rage burn in his chest.
Amanda felt betrayal.
Her daughter looked at Ethan calmly.
Then she smiled.
A dangerous smile.
And in that moment, the world crossed a line it could never uncross.
That night, the messenger returned.
He stood before Amanda alone.
The fortress was silent.
Andrew was outside, fighting to protect her from the pack.
Ethan was dealing with rebellion.
Amanda sat on the floor, holding her daughter.
Her eyes were tired.
Her soul was exhausted.
“Tell me the truth,” Amanda said quietly.
The messenger bowed.
“The truth will hurt you,” he said.
Amanda nodded.
“I am already hurt,” she replied.
The messenger looked at the child.
Then at Amanda.
“Your daughter is not just chaos,” he said.
Amanda’s heart tightened.
“What is she?” she asked.
The messenger’s voice was soft.
“She is the beginning of everything,” he said.
Amanda frowned.
“Explain.”
The messenger spoke slowly.
“Before the moon, before wolves, before humans, there was only one consciousness,” he said.
Amanda listened.
“That consciousness created existence,” he continued.
“But existence became unstable. So it split itself into balance. Light and darkness. Order and chaos. Moon and void.”
Amanda felt cold.
“And my daughter?” she whispered.
The messenger looked at the child.
“She is the original consciousness reborn,” he said.
Amanda’s breath stopped.
“If she fully awakens,” he continued, “she will not destroy the world out of evil.”
Amanda’s voice trembled.
“Then why will the world end?”
The messenger answered quietly.
“Because she will reset it.”
Amanda felt her heart stop.
Reset.
Erase.
Everything.
Her daughter looked up at her.
Her golden eyes were gentle.
“Mother,” she said softly.
Amanda looked at her.
“Yes?
The child smiled.
“I do not want to erase the world,” she said.
Amanda’s heart broke.
“But,” the child continued softly, “the world does not want me.”
Amanda hugged her tightly.
“No,” she whispered.
“I want you.”
The child closed her eyes slowly.
“And that,” she said quietly, “is why you will suffer.”
