Chapter 244 The Address
Ari's P.O.V.
"Nikolas said he's on his way, and he'll bring people who can help us find Dakota," Rain says.
"What else can we do? There has to be something that can help us find her," I say as I begin to pace again. I need to think like Dakota. If I had been the one taken, she would already know where I was, who took me, and whether anyone else was involved. Just like she did this morning when Khloe was kidnapped.
"Marco, are you sure there was no one else involved in Khloe's kidnapping? It seems a little too coincidental that Dakota's sister was kidnapped, and then a few hours later, Dakota was kidnapped." He shakes his head.
"Belinda and Jeff were the only ones I knew about, but it's possible someone else could have been telling them what to do," he replies.
"I'll look into their phone records," Noah says.
"The text sent to Dakota came from a computer, not a phone. I'm trying to find the IP address," Kylie says. I knew Noah had been teaching her a lot about computer hacking and other things, but I didn't know she had learned so much so fast. I feel like I'm going out of my mind. I need to do something; I can't just sit around and wait for something to happen.
"Can I call my mom and dad?" Khloe asks.
"Yes," I tell her. I hand her my phone and keep pacing while she talks to her parents.
"They are coming and bringing everyone with them," Khloe says as she hands my phone back to me. It's getting dark out, and the more time that goes by, the longer Dakota is with the men who took her. She is the strongest person I know, but she's not invincible.
"What can I do?" Lorenzo asks.
"I don't know what any of us can do right now until we know who took her," I say. Dakota's phone begins ringing, and Khloe hands it to me. It's a number I don't recognize.
"Hello?" I answer.
"I'm trying to reach Dakota Kondrati," a man says.
"She's not available. I'm her fiancé. Can I take a message?" I ask. I listen to what he says as Nikolas and several men walk into the office.
"Okay, I'll tell them." I disconnect and look at Rain and Nikolas.
"That was the lab. They confirmed that you are Rain's dad," I tell them. Nikolas smiles and hugs Rain.
"I knew it was true. Now, let's find Dakota," Nikolas says.
"I have the IP address where the text came from," Kylie says. We all look over her shoulder as she enters the IP address into a search, and it reveals the residential address it's assigned to.
"I know who lives there. Let's go," I say. Everyone runs outside and gets into their vehicles just as Anushka, Jordan, and the rest of the Kondrati family pull up. Sarah quickly fills them in, and we all head to the address Kylie found. I hope Dakota is there and we're not being set up. If she's not there, we have no other leads and no way to find her. I can't lose her. She is my whole world.
