Chapter 176 Galdino and Valentina
Galdino's P.O.V.
"I know how powerful you are, and you could kill me." The last thing I want to do is scare her.
"I'm not going to kill you. You're safe here. Do you have a boyfriend or anyone you need to tell that you'll be away for a while?" I hope she doesn't see through my question.
"No. I haven't been with anyone since Enzo's father. I'm not comfortable around most men. I got the job with Frank and thought it was a good opportunity, but he kept pushing me to do more and more questionable things. He also kept touching me and said it was expected as part of the job. I used to hope to have more kids one day, but I'm getting too old now." I chuckle lightly.
"You're only thirty-four. I'm forty-nine. You're still young and beautiful. I'm sure there are lots of men who could make you happy." That was my way of throwing my age out there to see her reaction. She looks up at me from under her long eyelashes.
"You're not old. Men my age are immature. If I were to ever be with anyone again, I would prefer someone more mature. I won't bring someone into our lives who will tire of us and move on after we get comfortable with them. I could never do that to Enzo." Is she trying to tell me she would consider someone my age? The thought of another man being in her and Enzo's lives makes me jealous. That's something I've never felt before.
"Do you have a man in mind?" She turns away from me.
"I don't know how to answer that. Before today, I didn't, but seeing how you were with Enzo put weird thoughts in my head. Also, while you were getting Enzo from Frank, Dakota kept going on and on about what a great man you are. I guess it made me think about you in ways I shouldn't. I'm sorry." I look toward the kitchen and see the matchmaker herself peeking in on us. She winks and disappears.
"Don't apologize. I asked because I'm attracted to you, Valentina. When we were at my house, and I turned to see you in the chair, I didn't reach for my gun because all I could think about was how beautiful you were. Does our age difference concern you?" I move toward her slightly, and she looks into my eyes.
"No. Does it concern you?" Does being with a young, beautiful woman concern me? No, I don't think so.
"No." I move a little closer.
"I didn't shoot you right away because I thought you were the most handsome man I had ever laid eyes on." I move the rest of the way over to sit next to her. Her face is flushed as she fidgets. I place my hand over both of hers and almost moan at the softness of them. I never appreciated the feel of a woman's touch.
"I've never been in a relationship because I've never found a woman I want for more than a night." Valentina doesn't say anything, but she puts her arms around my neck and kisses me. I wrap my arms around her, tilt my head, and deepen the kiss. When she opens her mouth, I slide my tongue inside, and she moans. I pull away when I'm two seconds away from laying her on the couch and removing her clothes.
"Part of my nervousness about being around you was because of my attraction to you. Are you sure you could want a woman like me with a child? I have nothing. I barely make enough to make ends meet, so I have nothing to offer you besides my son and me." I lean forward and kiss her again. I never realized how good a kiss could be. I only kissed women to get them to spread their legs for me. With Valentina, I kiss her because I enjoy the feel of her lips and the taste of her mouth. I like the little moans she lets out.
"You and Enzo won't need to worry about anything." I want to take her upstairs and see what other new things I can experience with her, but now is not the time.
“I should not be doing this. I am a single mother who just tried to kill you. How can I even be thinking about having anything with you?” She searches my eyes, and I smile.
“If I have learned anything from Dakota and her family, it’s that if something feels right, why fight it? I am a man who has never loved a woman or appreciated one for more than an hour or two. You make me want to be a better man.” I hope she doesn’t think I sound too cheesy. I can’t help it. I finally understand what my dad felt for Gloria and what I see when Ari looks at Dakota. Maybe I am getting soft, but I want those feelings to, and I feel like I can have them with Valentina. Even if she did try to kill me a few hours ago. She kisses me, and I slide my hand onto her back under her shirt. She moans as I deepen the kiss and continue to rub her smooth back. She pulls away and looks into my eyes. I can see the yearning in them, and I’m sure mine are mirroring the same look. I want her like I have never wanted a woman before.
"After Enzo falls asleep tonight, can I come to your room? I shouldn't ask because we just met, but it's been so long since a man touched me. Please don't think I'm easy; I'm not like that. It's just you. I want you." If she keeps talking like that, we won't be waiting until tonight.
"Yes. If we don't stop, I may not be able to wait that long. You're not as shy as I first thought, are you?" Valentina leans over as though she's going to whisper to me, and I feel her hand on my erection. With the way she's sitting, no one can see what she’s doing unless they come into the room.
"I'm not shy at all. That's how I kept Frank off me. I may not be as strong as Dakota and her mom, but I'm not afraid to speak my mind. Is that a problem for you?" She keeps her hand on me, and I can barely speak.
"No. I don't want a damsel, but if you don't stop, there's going to be a mess in my pants. I haven't been with a woman in over a year." She looks into my eyes and gropes me a couple more times.
"Well, with how big you are, that's good for me and bad for them." She removes her hand and kisses my cheek as she stands. That was hot and made me feel like a much younger man. Valentina is going to kill me. Not with a gun or any other weapon, but death could still be imminent. At least I'll die a happy man.
