Chapter 104 Lesson
Ari's P.O.V.
Dakota is looking at Aubrey like a lion circling its prey. The right thing to do would be to tell Aubrey to get out, but I would rather see Dakota kick someone else's ass rather than mine.
"What do you think you're going to do, Mighty Mouse?" Aubrey asks as Dakota locks the door.
"Ari, correct me if I'm wrong, but your family owns this hospital, right?" Dakota asks, moving closer to Aubrey and cracking her neck.
"Yes, we're the majority shareholder." Damn, I need some popcorn.
"That means you can decide who can come into the hospital. I don't remember this flat-ass bitch being on the list of approved visitors, do you?" Dakota looks at me, and I smile at the fire in her eyes.
"Definitely not. In fact, I believe her name is on the do not allow into the hospital list, so she's trespassing." I wish I weren't lying on my stomach so I could see better.
"What do you think you're going to do besides annoy me to death?" Aubrey asks, moving closer to me. Wrong move on her part, because Dakota looks like she's ready to kill.
"You take another step near my man, and you'll see what I'm going to do to you," Dakota tells her, moving closer to Aubrey.
"Oh, you mean like this?" Aubrey moves right next to the bed and leans down like she's going to kiss me. Dakota grabs her hair and pulls her so hard she falls to her knees.
"I warned you to stay away from him. Now we have you for assault. You feel threatened with her in here, don't you, Ari?" Dakota asks as she continues holding Aubrey's hair so she can't get up.
"Yes, she was trying to hit my burns in a jealous rage," I reply.
"I didn't touch you! Let go of me!" Aubrey yells.
"I figured you were used to this position. From what I understand, you spend most of your life on your knees. You didn't even graduate from law school, so you couldn't have taken the bar exam. So, tell me, what exactly are you doing for the twins besides stuffing your ugly face with their puny dicks?" How does Dakota know all of that?
"Who told you?" Aubrey asks, with her mouth open. Dakota smirks and drags her on her knees, away from my bed.
"You did. You're too stupid to have finished school, so I know there's no way you could pass the bar. I guess there are some things you can't get by simply spreading your legs." That's one of the many things I love about Dakota. She convinces people she knows all about them, and they tell on themselves, just like I did when we first met.
"Well, Ari thought I was good enough for him to fuck, so what do you have to say about that?" Aubrey tries to get up, but Dakota pulls her back to her knees.
"He can't be blamed for a mental lapse in judgment. How many others were you fucking at the same time? A woman like you doesn't know how to be faithful. You're all about you and what you can get. Right now, all you're going to get are some bruises. You picked the wrong day to fuck with me. Someone pissed me off, and then someone tried to blow us up. I'm done being nice." Dakota pulls her fist back and punches Aubrey in the nose hard. Blood runs down her face as she screams.
"I'm going to kill you!" Aubrey yells.
"I'm sorry. Was that a threat?" Dakota pulls out her phone and puts it beside my head. "Tell your dad we need security to come to your room to exterminate a bloody rat."
"Hello?" My dad answers.
"Dad, can you come to my room, please, and bring security? Aubrey came into my room and tried to assault me. Dakota is fighting her now." I hear my dad chuckle lightly.
"Okay, son. We'll walk slowly. Tell Dakota not to worry about the mess. We'll take care of it." Dakota smiles at me as she throws Aubrey to the ground and kicks her hard in the ribs.
"Do you think you can stay away from my family and Ari's?" Aubrey mumbles something through her hand, which she's using to cover her mouth and nose. Dakota pulls her to her feet and shoves her against the wall next to the door.
"I'm sorry. What did you say?" Dakota asks while pulling her hand from her face.
"You can't tell me what to do. I'm going to have someone teach you a lesson. No one cares who you are. You're just a bitch who hasn't had to work for anything." Oh, shit, she shouldn't have said that. Dakota unlocks the door and opens it.
"The only one getting taught something is you. If you come near either of our families again, you're dead. That's not a threat. That's a promise." Dakota pulls Aubrey to the doorway and lets go of her so she can spin and kick her hard in the abdomen. Aubrey screams as she flies backward out of the room and lands on her back on the floor as my dad and a few men from hospital security show up.
"Well, it looks like I missed all the action. Aubrey, if you set foot in this hospital or anywhere near any of our houses or businesses, you will never be seen again. Do I make myself clear?" Dad asks her. She swallows and nods without saying anything.
"Take out the trash," he tells the men. They grab Aubrey and pull her to the elevators.
"Sorry, Galdino. I just couldn't take another person messing with us." Dakota washes her hands and cleans the blood from her shoes.
"Don't apologize. I just wish I could have seen it. How are you feeling, son?" He comes to my side as two cleaning people come to the room and begin to clean up the blood on the floor and wall.
"I have some pain, but I'm trying not to take meds if I don't need to." Dakota squats in front of me and kisses my head.
"Take the pain medication. You don't want the pain to get too far out of hand, or it will be hard to get it under control. Can I get a nurse, please?" I sigh.
"Okay." She smiles and kisses me before going to the nurse's station.
"You truly love her, don't you?" Dad asks.
"Yes. She makes me feel better. I miss her when she's not with me. I didn't think I would ever feel this way about another person. I feel like I'm a better man just having her by my side," Dad chuckles.
"I know she feels the same about you. While we were in the waiting room, she was going out of her mind with worry about you and her friends. She's the head of the Kondrati family, and you're the next head of the Buccheri family. Together, you two will have an empire no one can touch." My dad is right, but is that what we want?
