I really don't understand him one minute his happy with me, The next minute his staring dagger at me what is really going on with him .
I got into my bed and slept for a while, then I got up and decided to go have My breakfast . When I got to the dinning hall I saw lady Alice and sir owen seated already having breakfast ,I walked in and sat far way from them .
" Its seems lady valerie had a wonderful night , Is that why she decided to wake up late? "
I raised my head to look at Lady Alice , Why is this woman always trying to spoil my day ,I ignored her and continued eating. Just then sir owen decided to say something .
" Lady Alice it would be best for us to eat in peace and besides lady Valerie look beautiful this morning "
" Thank you sir owen "
I continued to eat my food not wanting to look at Edward because I could feel him staring at me .
" Lady valerie we are going for a party this evening at Duke Raymond's mansion I was thinking if you would love to join us ,I mean since king Edward is going with lady Alice , Maybe we could be a pair "
I got distracted ,Then i raised my head to look at him and Lady Alice who had a smile on her face .But Edward was concentrating on the scroll he had on his hand .
" I think I have something important to take care off I will pass "
" Oh come on my lady, It's going to be fun at least you can get to meet and know new people anyways "
I thought about it for a while and decided to give it a go ahead
" Okay I will go "

He was so happy that he wanted to hug me but I stopped him ,I could feel Edwards eyes on me ,so I concentrated more on my food "
" When it's time please let me know "
" Sure I will "
He picked up a meat stack and placed it on my plate .
" Here you go please eat more ,I don't want you looking slimmer "
" Thank you, But I can take it myself "
" I know I just decided to help, Don't worry I wouldn't bit after all you are going to be my date for tonight "
I choked on the water I was drinking when I heard what he said. Oh my God date, Who's date ,I raised my head to look at Edward but he didn't response or react to what he said .
" Sorry sir owen but I think you are mistaken this whole thing , Am not your date but am just accompanying you to the party "
" Haha and that makes you cheap ,I think you decided to switch to sir owen ,since the king doesn't want you anymore '
" Lady Alice must you always make a fool of yourself in public "
" What !! You.. how dare you guards "
Lady Alice screamed on top of her voice , Two guards ran into the dinning hall .
" Take this bitch and flog her 20 strokes of horse whip"
They where about to touch me when they heard Edwards cold and deep voice .
" Touch her and I will have your head hanging in the centre of the city "
They quickly took few steps back words and left the dinning hall without saying a word , Lady Alice fuming in anger .
" My Lord you allow this low life insult me she just insulted me and you said nothing "
" You called for it , The next time you insult her I will make sure you are flogged to the point that you wouldn't be able to stand for days I hope I have made myself clear on this matter "
" Yes ..yes.. My Lord "
She clenched her fist and was staring at me with anger and hatred in her eyes ,I adverted my eyes from her and continued my breakfast when I was done eating I left the dinning hall without saying a word .
When I got into my chambers I sent for ella and Sophia , In less than thirty minutes they came into my room
" My lady you sent for us "
" Yes , Am not feeling too good about this whole thing "
" What's going on My lady "
" It lady Alice , She is trying to rain hell on me "
" What has she done this time ,I really don't like that lady for any reason infact she is worst than lady Benita "
" I agree with you Sophia ,I think that lady is really a big obstacle , But I know the king will take care of here soon "

I waited for them to give me an answer .
" Actually my lady , Lady Alice was the kings best friend when they where little but the king then was considered as an adopted son , when they grew up,they fell in love with each other but lady Alice father decided to marry her off to duke cowell . Things don't work out well for them after two years they divorced and lady Alice returned back to her father's house ,After about 4years later the king made a decree and made his majesty the heir to his throne a year later late king died of poison ,his majesty ascended the throne of his father and since then lady Alice has been trying to get on the good side of the king "
' Hmm I see so you trying to say that the king was in love with lady Alice before now "
" Yes he was ,infact we were present at the castle when it all happened ,We were still very young , His majesty was heart broken then , Lady Alice couldn't fight for their love instead she ran after duke cowell like a whore "
She said the word "whore" with a low voice .

Suddenly a rush of jealous and sympathy flow through my veins ,I felt sorry for him and at the same time I was jealous because I wished I was his first love .
