Chapter 87 Betrayal In Love
The room falls into stunned silence.
Rimjhim’s heart breaks; tears stream down her face uncontrollably.
Riya’s rage only grows stronger. She shouts, “All lies! But remember this very soon, I will destroy all of you. I’ll play with your lives until you’re all finished. Every one of you will die!”
Samar’s fists still tremble, his body seething with rage, but he somehow restrains himself. His eyes promise only one thing that Riya will face justice for her deeds.
Through tears, I look at Riya, my voice choking with pain and fury, “Riya… have some shame! You love Karan”
But before I can finish, Riya cuts me off, shrieking,
“Love?? You think I would love this worthless man? Karan? I never loved him. What is there in him to love? Yes, maybe he’s a successful doctor, but in reality he’s nothing but a loser. He jokes around with nonsense, no maturity, no seriousness. Which girl would ever truly love a man like this? Certainly not me!”
The words barely leave her mouth when
SLAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A resounding slap lands across her face. It is me.
My eyes blaze with fire as I scream, “Enough! That’s enough! Get out of this house, and never come back!”
Riya clutches her cheek, but instead of breaking, she laughs a chilling, poisonous laugh. She smirks and says, “If I walk out of this house… then your so-called brother-in-law will die. He won’t survive without me.”
At that moment, Vihan steps forward. His voice is calm but unshakably firm. “We’ll handle this. Whatever Riya has done… she will pay for it.”
But Samar can no longer control himself. His rage reaches its peak. Through gritted teeth, he growls,
“For what you’ve done, Riya… there’s only one punishment. Death.”
He immediately signals to his guards. They rush into the hall, ready to drag Riya away.
But just as the guards move toward her, a voice rings out “Stop!!”
It is Karan.
His voice trembles with pain, his eyes glistening with tears. A victorious smile spreads across Riya’s lips. She knows Karan will never let any harm come to her. In her eyes is a strange calm, as if everything is unfolding exactly as she planned.
Karan steps in front of Samar and pleads, “Bro… let her go. Let her leave this house… but don’t kill her.”
Samar’s chest burns with fury. He roars, “Karan!! Don’t you understand? This girl plotted against all of us. She is our enemy!”
But Karan’s tears do not stop. His broken voice begs, “Please, Bro… just this once, listen to me. Throw her out… but don’t take her life. She’ll never come back.”
Hearing this only fans Samar’s rage.
He raises his fist and, with a powerful blow, punches Karan straight across the face.
“Dhaddd!!!!!!!”
The chair crashes violently to the floor. Without another word, Samar storms off toward his room and slams the door shut behind him. Now, every eye in the hall is fixed on Riya.
Vihan grabs her wrist, dragging her toward the exit, his face carved with anger. At the doorway, he stops, looks her straight in the eye, and speaks in a cold but quivering voice, “Get out. And never show your face here again. You’re alive only because you don’t know the full truth. But remember this if you ever come back, this Rajput family will not let you leave alive.”
Riya’s eyes still burn with fire. She stomps her foot on the ground and screams, “I know everything!! And remember this one day, I will destroy you all. I will drag you down to the dirt from where you rose. I will bring death to each and every one of you!”
With a venomous smile, she storms out of the hall. At that very moment, a black car screeches to a stop outside the mansion gates. As if on their own, the gates open wide.
The car door swings open… and a woman steps out. It is Drishti.
On her face is the same devilish smile now mirrored on Riya’s lips. She stretches out her hand.
For a moment, Riya stands still before her. Then, she places her hand in Drishti’s like sealing a pact. Without looking back once, she slides into the car.
Drishti turns, casting one long, hateful glance at the Rajput mansion. Her eyes gleam with both vengeance and triumph.
The car door slams shut. The engine roars to life. And in a flash, the black car speeds away into the night.
Karan stands silently in a corner of the hall. His face is painted with grief and shattered emotions. He doesn’t utter a single word. Slowly, he walks toward the stairs, and without looking back, he goes to his room. He shuts the door and locks it from inside. His heart feels as if a thousand arrows have pierced through his chest at once.
Ruhi panics. Her voice trembles as she quickly looks at Shorya and says, “Jiju… Bro is very upset. I’m scared.”
Shorya places a reassuring hand on Ruhi’s shoulder. There is a calmness in his eyes. With gentleness, he says, “Don’t worry, Ruhi. Everything will be fine. Karan just needs some time.”
Neeti is also standing nearby. Tears won’t stop flowing from her eyes. For a moment, Shorya too feels restless seeing her like that. Then he firmly holds both Ruhi and Neeti’s hands in his own and says in a voice that is strong yet filled with warmth, “Don’t cry, either of you. Stay calm. I’m here… come with me.”
And saying this, he leads both of them away from the hall, hoping to ease their pain.
Meanwhile, in another corner of the hall, Vihan can’t hold himself together. He is in shock. Riya’s words keep echoing in his mind again and again. He holds his head in his hands and sinks onto the sofa. His eyes carry rage, pain, and a strange sense of guilt.
Rimjhim retreats to her room. As soon as she closes the door, her tears break free, flowing uncontrollably. She clutches a pillow tightly against her chest and cries bitterly. Only one question haunts her mind Was it true that Vihan only married me out of compulsion? Will I ever have a place in his life?
TO BE COUNTINUE...!!!
