Chapter 84 The Quest Completed
Karan pulls her closer and hugs her tightly. In a soft, heartfelt voice, he says, “Riya… I would die… I can’t live without you. This is the first time in my life I’ve truly loved someone you.”
Riya closes her eyes and, with a trembling voice, says, “Don’t say such things… and I will never leave your side.”
She holds his hand firmly, as if saying, You are mine, and I will always be yours. A faint smile appears on Karan’s lips.
Vihan's room is filled with a unique sadness and silence. I sit on the floor, curled up, knees pressed to my chest, head bowed, quietly letting out soft sobs. My face bears traces of tears, and each sigh seems to come straight from the depths of my heart. I am so lost in myself that I cannot even realize what will happen with my relationship, or if anything will ever happen at all. Slowly, exhausted from crying, I drift into sleep, yet even with my eyes closed, a deep sorrow and restlessness linger in my heart.
After some time, the room's door slowly opens, and a large shadow enters. It is Vihan. He quietly closes the door behind him and looks at me. His face reflects pain and concern. Seeing the traces of tears and sadness on my face, his heart tightens.
He bends down gently, as if ready to take on the heaviest burden in the world, and softly lifts me into his arms. My head rests against his shoulder, my small, shallow breaths still quick. Vihan carefully lays me on the bed, stroking my hair tenderly.
I slowly wipe my tears, but inside my heart, a lingering unease and quiet remain, a feeling that words cannot express. In that moment, Vihan's presence, his love, and the sense of security he provides are enough.
After a while, Vihan turns to himself, moving to the sofa to change his clothes. Shortly after, he too drifts into sleep.
Meanwhile, deep in the jungle, darkness has taken over completely. The faint light of the moon barely filters through the dense trees, and the rustling of leaves along with the chill in the air blend into an eerie silence. Everywhere, there is only the sound of the night soft, distant, and unsettling.
In the heart of the forest, a hidden, secret chamber lies concealed. Inside, a girl sits alone. Her black attire hugs her form perfectly, and every fold of her outfit carries a sly, menacing elegance.
The darkness only adds to the mystery of her face only the glint in her eyes and her sharp, cunning smile are visible, enough to send a chill down anyone's spine.
She speaks softly, her voice slicing through the silence, carrying both threat and confidence:
"Rajputs, your destruction is very near. I will give you death, and before you are born again, you will think twice about challenging me."
Her tone carries not just menace, but an intense obsession, as if she owns the entire jungle and every shadow within it. Her mischievous smile in the dark seems to pierce the silence like tiny bells of warning.
The stillness of the chamber, mixed with her presence, creates a suspense so thick that it seems to choke the very air around the Rajputs. The rustling leaves, the cold night breeze, and the power in her words amplify the sense of danger and anticipation.
Alone in that dark chamber, the girl exudes a confidence so overwhelming that it feels like she commands the entire forest. Every word, every glance, every sly smile radiates the essence of death and warning.
The soft morning light slips through the curtains, casting a gentle glow across the room. I slowly open my eyes, my face showing traces of sleep and the exhaustion of the night before. There is tenderness on my face, but in my eyes lingers a faint shadow of pain. Without making a sound, I get out of bed and quietly walk toward the bathroom.
The faint sound of the shower echoes in the room. Droplets of water slide down my body, washing away the fatigue of the night, yet inside my heart, a strange heaviness still remains. After some time, I step out of the shower, wrapped in a white towel. I walk straight to the closet, my damp hair clinging to my shoulders, beads of water trailing down the curve of my neck.
Inside the closet, I stand holding a dress, looking troubled as my eyes dart here and there. Just then, my heartbeat quickens, because suddenly, the closet door opens and Samar walks in.
There is affection in his eyes, but I instantly flinch a little. I clutch the towel tighter around me, my face flushed with embarrassment and nervousness.
Samar smiles gently at me and asks, "You're not ready yet?"
Lowering my gaze, I reply softly, "Mom gave me a saree to wear… but I don't know how to drape it."
My voice is so faint, as though I am confessing a secret. Samar looks at me for a moment, then smiles lovingly and says, "Then let me help you."
I quickly shake my head, whispering, "No…!" But my voice lacks firmness there is no anger, only shyness and hesitation.
Ignoring my refusal, Samar steps closer. He carefully takes the saree from my hands. My heart pounds wildly, my lips pressed together as I look at him, torn between resisting and surrendering. With great tenderness, Samar places the first fold of the saree over my shoulder.
As he begins to wrap the fabric around me, my breathing quickens. When his fingers brush lightly against my waist, I instinctively close my eyes. A soft blush deepens across my cheeks. Samar guides the pallu across my chest, letting it settle gently on my shoulder.
I stand silently, holding my breath. Samar adjusts each fold with patience and care, as though he isn't just draping cloth but weaving his love around me.
When the saree is finally in place, Samar pauses to look at me. My eyes are still lowered, my damp hair sticking to my flushed cheeks. To him, my shy, blushing face is the most beautiful sight he has ever seen.
Leaning a little closer, Samar whispers softly, "Now, you look absolutely perfect…"
At his words, I slowly lift my gaze. A faint smile curves my lips, and my eyes meet his soft, shy, yet quietly warm gaze.
That serene moment between Samar and me is shattered suddenly by the sharp vibration of a phone. Samar freezes for a second before pulling it out of his pocket.
It is a message from Rohit: "Sir, come quickly. We've found out about the girl who wants to destroy your family."
The words hit Samar like a storm. His eyes harden instantly, the softness on his face disappearing as though someone snatched away his peace in a single moment.
