Chapter 77 Love That Indulges Every Whim
Riya takes Rimjhim’s hand with a smile.
“Come on, bhabhi,” she insists, pulling her along.
Karan and Samar exchange a glance. Their faces look almost childishly disappointed. Both have imagined spending some one-on-one time with their own partners today, but things have turned out the opposite now everyone is heading out together. With no choice left, they follow behind, hiding their sighs with faint smiles.
The sleek black car rolls to a stop in front of the city’s largest and most luxurious mall. This isn’t just any mall it belongs to Samar himself.
Its grand glass façade glitters under the afternoon light, but as soon as we step inside, the scene feels unusual.
The mall is spotless, every shop brightly lit and neatly arranged, yet not a single customer is in sight. Holding onto Samar’s hand, I look around curiously.
“Why is it so empty?” I ask in a soft voice.
Samar leans slightly toward me, a subtle smile playing on his lips.
“I had it cleared out beforehand… so all of you can shop without any crowd. The whole place is yours today, sweetheart.”
My lips curve into a faint smile, and my grip on his hand tightens.
Meanwhile, Karan wastes no time. Taking Riya’s hand, he says with playful confidence, “Come on, my soon-to-be bride, I’m going to find you the most beautiful dress here.”
The two move between racks, chatting and teasing each other as they pick up outfits, compare them, and laugh.
Then the large glass doors swing open, and Vihan walks in with a calm yet commanding presence. Samar has already been expecting him, he gives a small nod as their eyes meet, a silent confirmation that everything is going according to plan.
Without missing a beat, Samar tightens his hold on my hand and looks toward Rimjhim.
“Your company is here,” he says casually. “Go and shop at your own pace.”
With that, he leads me toward another section of the mall.
Now Rimjhim stands in front of Vihan. His face is expressionless, his gaze never once meeting hers. Without slowing his pace, he says in a cool, detached tone, “Come. Do your shopping.”
Rimjhim doesn’t reply. She senses the coldness in his voice, feels the wall he has put up between them but she doesn’t press him. In silence, she follows him.
I am standing between the racks in the earrings section, carefully picking each pair and checking my reflection in the mirror. I glow like moonlight, trying on every design, my excitement clearly visible in every little movement.
Samar stands quietly behind me, silently watching his sweetheart. His eyes are fixed only on me, noticing every smile, every spark of happiness on my face. Fashion and jewelry aren’t his area of expertise, yet seeing my joy gives him a quiet sense of contentment.
I am so engrossed in my shopping that I barely notice Samar’s quiet presence behind me. Meanwhile, Rimjhim is in a corner, shopping alone. Vihan is with her, but he hardly speaks or helps her with anything. Rimjhim feels a bit lonely, yet she focuses entirely on her shopping, keeping her composure.
At the same time, Karan and Riya are in a slightly different scene. Riya stands in front of a mirror while Karan carefully picks out dresses, helping her try each one on. He examines her from every angle, sometimes smiling softly, sometimes teasing gently.
Riya tries on a white gown. Karan looks at her for a moment and says, “Hmm… this doesn’t look right.”
Riya, already irritated and tired, snaps, “Karan! You’ve kept me standing here for the last hour, and you still can’t select a single dress!”
Karan smiles lightly and says, “Quiet… I want to see my soon-to-be wife properly. Every angle, every expression.”
Riya, exhausted and slightly emotional, murmurs,
“I’m tired…”
Teasing her, Karan replies, “Tired already? What about on the wedding night then?”
Riya looks at him in shock, cheeks flushing red, realizing how cheeky he is. She starts to walk away, but Karan grabs her hand and places a white lehenga on her, adjusting it carefully.
“Perfect! This suits you so well. You look absolutely beautiful.”
Riya, still showing her fatigue, hugs him tightly. Karan rubs her waist gently and says, “Yes, love… come on, let’s go home. We’ll get ready in a little while.”
Riya’s heart races. She thinks about how confident and playful Karan is, and yet he is doing all of this just for her.
Rimjhim is stepping out of the jewellery section, carrying a mix of slight fatigue and excitement from her shopping spree. That’s when her eyes land on a maroon lehenga, perfectly displayed and swaying slightly in the shop. As soon as she sees it, a small smile spreads across her face, as if she has found the exact outfit that has captured her heart.
She hurries inside the shop, gently touching the lehenga, completely lost in her little world of delight. Outside, Vihan watches her calmly, composed as ever, yet his eyes follow her every move.
Within minutes, Rimjhim comes out holding the lehenga, her expression a mix of excitement and nervousness. Vihan, with a soft smile, asks,
“You don’t like the dress?”
Rimjhim shakes her head lightly and says, “No… it’s not like that.”
Vihan tilts his head slightly, intrigued. “Then?”
Rimjhim steps closer and whispers softly into his ear, “It’s… very expensive.”
Vihan looks at her with gentle, affectionate eyes and says, “You don’t need to worry about money.”
Rimjhim, a bit shy and cautious, replies, “No… I shouldn’t shop like this. I don’t want your account to get emptied.”
Vihan’s mind processes her words immediately. He realizes how responsible Rimjhim always is, yet she never truly acknowledges his efforts for her. A small smile forms on his face. He reaches out, saying, “Come with me,” gently guiding her further into the shop.
The shopkeeper instantly recognizes Vihan, bows slightly, and greets him with respect, “Sir, welcome.”
Vihan calmly asks, “Which lehenga do you like?”
Rimjhim points to the maroon lehenga with a soft gesture and says, “That one.”
Vihan signals the shopkeeper, “Pack it.”
Rimjhim’s eyes widen in surprise. “No… you don’t know! It’s 6 million!”
Vihan laughs and says, “Just stay quiet and focus on the clothes.”
