Chapter 14 THE LADY LING OF Green Hill PALACE IS HERE!" This was the loud announcement I heard in conjunction with the opening of the palace gate. Nervous and trembling but I still tried to smile at the people looking at me. Even before I reached the very hall where Argus was, the queen and the high officials of the palace had already dropped me off by the palace guards who had lifted my carriage. Pim immediately helped me down until I walked towards the main hall. With palms clasped I bowed to argus, to the former queen and king, as well as to queen Kirah who just stared at me. But more than him was Argus. Argus is staring at me like there's no tomorrow, I know that he wanted to tell me something but he has to remain silent and just do the proceedings for my installation. After he blessed me he handed me the jade-tag that would be the symbol of the state and who I am inside the palace. Loud applause followed from the people and from a few palace officials because I knew the others didn't like me because I only smiled sparingly and applauded for me. Even in bowing in respect to me they just seem to be compelled. I also looked at the dear queen. He only nodded slightly before smiling at me sparingly. After that I went to face the people. This was followed by another loud announcement from the spokesman of the dear king. "IN THE NAME OF DEAR KING GI RA KHUN, LADY LING FROM Green Hill PALACE HAS BEEN APPOINTED TODAY AS A STATE AND TITLE EMPERIAL NOBLE CONSORT. HE IS NOW THE DEAR EMPERIAL NOBLE CONSORT LING OF Green Hill PALACE! GIVE RESPECT!" The voice of this announcement was loud and full that even gave me shivers and chills. This was followed by loud applause and the standing up of people to give me a bow as respect and recognition for me. I know I'm not used to being looked up to but I have to hold my head up, stay stern, elegant, and I shouldn't lose my composure. So I just gave them a small smile. "Imperial Noble Consort Ling, you can now aim for your position." The king's spokesman smiled at me before he gestured his hand to reveal where my seat was. My seat is just below the king and the queen's seats. I'm on the left side of the King while the queen was on his right. My platform is just below them. While going up the stairs, everyone was just looking at me, especially the King while the Queen was staring at him, so I avoided looking at him so that the queen would not say anything. As soon as I sat down, it was announced that the dowries offered to me by Argus would be laid out in front of me, so I was surprised. I'm aware of the dowry that a king must give to his wife but I thought the ones he brought to green hill last night. Not yet. As Pim stood just behind me, he ordered the palace guards of the green hill palace to pick up the countless gifts to take to the palace. I even looked at Argus over my shoulder and he just stared at me while smiling but I also immediately regained my gaze and turned away from them because the queen's observant eyes were staring at me. Later it was announced that the start of food and fun so somehow we turned our attention there. It was late at night when Pim and I got home to the green hill palace but even though my body was tired and wanted to rest and open to take care of things that needed to be taken care of such as the opening of offerings from Argus I was not able to rest. I asked Pim for a tea first who immediately complied before I sat down on the other chair and laid my hand on the table between us. I just look at him while waiting for him to talk. After I took off all his top clothes, he would have taken off my night gown but it has to be unzipped at the back so I turned to him first for him to unzip me. Before unzipping me he first presented all my hair on one side. After he unzipped me, he started pulling down both sides of my sleeves slowly revealing my shoulders, my back, and then the whole me. As my gown fell on the floor he embraced me from the back at the same time kissing me on my nape. " This is why Argus let out a smile against my lips. I haven't reciprocated that smile cuz I'm too stuffed and just savoring his lips.
