Chapter 15 Chapter 15
Chapter 15: Gone Too Far

~Lykon Pov~

The taste of her was still on my tongue. Even if the night was long gone, and two days had passed, I could still feel it. I could still remember it. She had tasted sweet, like wild honey, but also a little salty from her skin.

I had fingered her cunt, made sure my fingers had been coated with her cum, and I had brought them to my mouth, sucking her taste off slowly, not wanting to miss a single drop.

And before she could even run or think, I had grabbed the back of her head and I had pressed my lips to hers, forcing her to taste herself on my tongue. She had gasped into my mouth, her body soft and weak under mine.

Who knew she could feel so soft and fragile?

No one. No one else except me. I had claimed her, and she was mine.

I could still see the way her face looked when she came apart for me. Her eyes had gone wide and wet, her mouth had dropped open with that soft, sweet cry of my name and her fingers had scratched all over my back. Ignas had never looked so beautiful, not even on the battlefield. She was fierce, she was strong, but in that moment, she had been only mine. Only mine to touch, only mine to hold.

I had carried her to the bathroom after. Her legs were too weak to walk, so I held her against my chest. Her face was red, her eyes were heavy, and she didn’t fight me. She had let me wash her, and I did so, softly and silently, her head resting on my shoulder. After we were done, I had wrapped her in a towel and carried her back to bed.

She had curled up next to me, without a word or resistance, her head planted on my chest, and she had slept off. I hadn’t slept for a long time that night. I wasn't even sure I had blinked. I lay there, feeling her heart beat against my side, her scent filling the whole room. I had wanted her even more. I had wanted to touch her again. But I didn’t. I had forced myself to let her rest. My eyes lowered to curve between her neck and shoulders and I saw it. The mark.

I had finally marked Ignas as my mate. My wolf howled at the thought, or should I say— reality.

When I woke up, her side of the bed was cold. She had left before I could open my eyes. After that, she didn’t speak to me. She didn’t look at me. She acted like nothing had happened between us. Like I had never touched her. Like she had never moaned my name. I didn’t reach out either. Maybe I had pushed her too far. Maybe I had wanted too much, too soon. So I gave her space. I waited for her to come to me. She never did.

A sharp whistle cut through my thoughts, and I blinked back to the training ground. Roy was standing across from me, holding a wooden sword in his hand. He was watching me close, like he knew exactly where my mind had been. I rolled my shoulders and picked up my own sword.

"You’re off today," Roy said, lifting a brow.

I swung the sword, hitting his with a sharp clang. "Maybe."

He blocked me easy, stepping to the side. "Got something on your mind? Or someone?" He asked, his voice light, but his eyes glinting mischievously.

I said nothing. I just hit the sword harder, making him step back. He didn’t push. He just smirked a little, like he already knew what happened. Roy was smart like that; I had noticed. He didn’t need to ask twice.

We trained for a while, our bodies moving fast, swords clashing over and over. But my mind wasn’t in the fight. My body moved out of habit, but my thoughts lingered on her. On Ignas.

A young warrior came running across the field, his breaths coming out in sharp pants and his face pale. He stopped in front of Roy, chest heaving.

"Beta Roy! There was– at the border! There has been another attack!"

Roy swore under his breath, dropping his sword that clattered to the ground. "Shit. Not again."

Without wasting a second, he turned and ran toward the pack house. My heart jumped, and I followed. Whatever it was, I needed to know. And I needed to know if she was safe. My wolf howled within me as I felt the wind in my hair.

I ran after him, my boots hitting the dirt fast, the wind sharp on my face. My mind pushed away the heat of last night. Right now, only one thing mattered. Ignas. If there was danger, I would be there. I always would. I would protect her, just like she has protected me.

I caught up to Roy as he reached the pack house doors. He looked at me, not surprised I had followed. "Let’s go," he said.

And I did. I followed him inside. I would alway
s follow. Especially if it led me back to her.
