Chapter 233

Chapter 233

Ava ignored the couple’s accusations and turned to comfort the children first.

"Samuel, Sophia, don't be scared. Tell mommy what happened, okay?"

Before the kids could speak, Echo’s mom cut in.
"You have the nerve to ask what happened? Your kids ganged up on other children at kindergarten. Look what your kids did to my daughter! We're traumatized by this kindergarten now."

Ava didn’t just take others’ word or blame the children; she immediately asked them what really happened.

"Samuel, Sophia, tell mommy the whole story."

The two children were quite frightened, especially when Echo’s parents arrived and glared at them as if ready to punish them.

Only when Sophia saw Ava did she start crying with hurt feelings.

"Mommy, Echo said Samuel and I don't have a daddy, that we're wild children who popped out of a rock. I told her that's not true, and then Echo hit me first. That's when my brother hit her back."

Samuel had a tougher personality. Even though he was bullied, he didn't shed a single tear.

"Mommy, Echo hit Sophia first. She pulled Sophia's hair and pinched her arm. I couldn't pull her off, so I had to do something. She called us wild children. She was the one who did wrong first."

Hearing the two kids' account, Ava felt her chest tighten. What she worried about most had happened. The two children were starting to understand and care about not having a father.

Even if she didn't bring it up, other children would use this to bully them.

Her eyes fell on Samuel's arm, where there was a large red mark. Her heart ached.

"Sophia, are you hurt?"

Sophia shook her head and looked up at Echo's dad standing there, tall and intimidating, glaring at them fiercely. She was too scared to speak.

In her little mind, she figured mommy probably couldn't beat Echo's dad, so she swallowed all her hurt feelings.

Ava stood and positioned herself in front of the children.
"I've figured out what happened, and I believe you heard how the conflict between the kids started. My son and daughter did nothing wrong. Echo provoked them with words first, and Echo hit first. Now I demand that Echo apologize to my children!"

When Echo's mom heard this, she immediately got upset.

"What? Are you kidding me? My daughter is the one who got hurt. Why should we apologize? I demand we go to the hospital to document the injuries, or I'll sue you!"

Ava didn't bother reasoning with someone so unreasonable. She spoke directly to the principal and teacher.

"I chose this kindergarten for my children because I trusted the teaching philosophy here, that you could educate children properly and guide them correctly. But if the children you teach are this rude, verbally bullying other kids, and refusing to apologize or admit fault, then we'll choose another school."

The principal panicked when he heard this. The kindergarten's library was donated by Robert and was only half-built. If these two children went to another school, where would the rest of the funding come from?

This would kill him!

"Don't be angry. This is Echo's fault. We'll guide her properly. I promise nothing like this will happen again."

Echo's dad, like a rooster ready to fight, bristled all over when Ava said Echo was rude.

"What are you saying? My daughter is the one who got hurt. Why should she apologize? Since when does the victim apologize? On behalf of the parent committee, I suggest the school expel Samuel and Sophia. Such bad behavior could easily happen again."

The principal glanced between them, looking troubled.

Ava calmly snorted.

"Parent committee, huh? Since we're talking about this, I'm reporting that Echo's parents are using the parent committee to organize meaningless activities to collect money, privately taking money from other children's families, and even creating a toxic atmosphere of favoritism."

Echo’s dad’s face flushed with anger.
"What nonsense are you talking about?"

Ava continued.

"If Echo doesn't apologize to my children today, then I suggest expelling Echo to clean up the atmosphere."

Things had developed to an either-you-or-me situation. The principal thought it over for a long time, and the scales in his mind tipped one way.

"Look, this incident was indeed caused by Echo doing something wrong, which led to the kids fighting. How about letting the child apologize?"

When it came to anything involving her children, Ava was extremely sensitive and would absolutely protect her kids without backing down. If anyone offended her children, she would fight over every little thing.

Echo's mom had been building up anger for a long time, arguing for ages. Her child got beaten up and she was furious, but in the end, she still had to apologize to the other side. Why?

And the principal kept siding with the kids who beat up her daughter. She could see that if this continued, her daughter would be kicked out of the kindergarten.

Overcome, she seized the cup of hot water that had just been set down and hurled it at Ava and the kids.

Seeing her throw, Ava didn’t have time to decide which child to protect first. All she could do was lunge into the path of the scalding water to shield the children.

However, she didn't feel the burn.

Lewis had already stepped in front of her first, blocking the way. Every drop of the boiling water that had been poured just minutes ago splashed onto Lewis's back.

Pain flared from his back. Lewis clenched his teeth, forcing a smile..

"You and the kids aren't burned, are you?"

He didn't care about himself and first asked about Ava and the two children.

Ava was stunned.

"Are you okay? Did you get burned?"

Lewis shook his head.

"As long as you're all okay."

Ava's face turned white with anger. She had carefully selected this kindergarten for her children, but never expected there would be such a bad apple. Her eyes fell on another cup on the table. She quickly grabbed it and threw it right back.

Echo's mom was stunned. At least this cup of water was cold, so it didn't burn her. She looked at Ava in disbelief, feeling scared inside. If the water had been scalding, her face would be ruined.
"You... how could you throw water at me? Honey, she threw water at me!"

After she came to her senses, she got emotional.

Echo's dad put down the child and was about to hit someone, but Lewis blocked his way.

"What, want to fight?"

"Who's afraid of who?"

As they spoke, they went straight outside, away from the women and children, for a one-on-one fight.

Lewis had training. He took the other guy down in just a few moves.

Ava came out with the kids and saw their fight was already over.

Samuel opened his mouth in astonishment.

"Mommy, Uncle Lewis is so amazing! Does Uncle Lewis know martial arts? Can I learn martial arts from him?"

Sophia clapped and cheered.

"Uncle Lewis is so awesome!"

Lewis won the battle and gained two little fans.
