Ch.69 "Marry Me!"

Ch.69 "Marry Me!"
Then she looked up with the last bite in her hand,
"Hey, are you going to eat that?" she asked me, looking at my half-eaten burger, and I still had chips and my slice of peach pie.

I laughed, started smiling, and chuckled under my breath.

"No, not at all, here, princess," I told her, sliding it over to her.
She grabbed me, and I heard her moan, and I swung back, moaning and groaning; hearing her was too much, and I was trying not to touch her, but I knew she wasn't doing it on purpose and intentionally trying to be turned on.

But I can't help being around this beautiful woman who has driven me crazy for so many years. So, I cleared my throat when she finished the pie and drank down the water.

I heard her little burp, and she tried to hide it; I saw her face turn red.
Ahh, my mate is so cute when she blushes, and the way her mouth moves, and when she bites the inside of her mouth, and I knew she was biting it because she was so nervous.

"So, what are we?" I heard her. "I know we are mates, but are we together, or are we just going to be mates but have different lovers?" she said. I didn't like what she said. I don't like the thought of her being in the arms of another man, and it will be over my dead body before I let that happen.

“No, man will have you," I told her, but when I heard her sigh, I knew I didn't mean to say it that way.

“Oh, so, you think of me, I can't be with someone; I know I won't be as beautiful as the rest of the women you have been with, but I do know there is a man who would love me for the babies and me!" She said it hurt.

I licked my lips, trying to calm down and not go into the restaurant, finding other men staring at her and trying to take her away from me until I finished what I said.

"Because you're mine, and I will not let any man touch you, and I don't want anyone else; the only woman I want is you, princess," I tell her.

"I have always wanted you," I told her. I knew it was coming. I knew I needed to say it; finally, she would be mine.

"I love you, princess; I have loved you since we were little kids; I know it didn't seem like it because I bullied and teased you, and I know I was cruel, but believe me, I will never hurt you again," I told her, and I grabbed her hand. I knew she was breathing heavily because I could see her chest moving up and down and hear her heart beating fast inside her chest.

"I love you, too. "
"But I don't know," I know I heard it, but I did.
She got up and started running out of the restaurant, and I hurried, placed the money down on the table, and chased after her before I lost her forever.

Gracie P.O.V.

I knew I wasn't hearing it. I listened to what he said, but they told me he loved and always loved me. But what did I do? I fucking ran and left him there, and I told him," I love you back, but sorry, I don't know what to do. I thought to myself, eye roll, of how stupid I was and how rude I was to leave him there.

What was I thinking now? He was not going to want me now after I ran away after he cried out his heart to me. Yeah, good one, Gracie, I heard my inner voice say.

I am outside. He may have followed me, but when I realized I wasn't driving, I got into his truck with him. I pulled out my phone and saw it was almost dead. I was walking down a dark and gloomy road, and I could sense that it was going to rain soon.

Oh, great! I just wanted what I needed at the moment.
Shit, Shit, Shit, that's when I see the raindrops opening up the sky and the lightning and thunder. I jumped when I saw it was cold and the rain was pouring down now around me.

I started walking quicker when I heard footsteps behind me. I didn't think or stop to turn around, and I began to pick up my pace, and I listened to the man start walking faster. I could feel my heart beating so hard and loud, and I didn't know if I should attack him, and he saw what I was.

I don't know if he is human or another creature, but I know one thing: I am not going to stop.

But before I thought about turning off the road and knew it, I cried out when I felt someone grab me, and I started to fight whoever it was. I knew it was a guy. That's when I snapped and began to bite, but I heard him cry out.

"Gracie, it's me; stop it; you're okay." I knew that voice; it was HAYES.

"Hayes! I turned around, and I hugged him, and we were both wet. I didn't care, and I still didn't know if he still loved me.

Oh, Hayes, I cried out, and I started kissing him on his face and telling him sorry, and that I had left, and I should never have walked off on this night. It was dangerous, even for a werewolf. I've heard about hunters out there, and I've read stories about them that I liked.

So, now I am in my own fairytale, and it's great, but why do I feel like something is trying to take it away from me? I knew a switch had flipped, and I knew I should be careful, but for now, I am going to kiss and be close to the man I love.

"Gracie, baby, never take off like that again, please, baby," I heard his worry and fear. He could have lost me if one of the hunters or another evil creature, or rogues, had been there.

That's when I grabbed hold of Hayes's face, slammed my lips down on his, and kissed him. I kissed him like it was my last.

He was shocked that I kissed him, not the other way around.

I jerked up, and I didn't know why I said it, and I knew I saw the look in his eyes, and then he laughed and kissed me.

"I mean it; Marry me! So I asked him again, meaning it, and I wasn't laughing. He stopped and gave me a look over, as if checking to see if I'd hit my head, which showed he was worried about me.

I said again,

"Marry me," I stared into his face, waiting for it...
