Chapter 103: "Replace Caroline and Become My Mistress"
Sophia's Perspective
Theo's expression suddenly became rigid, his eyes staring at me strangely.
"You better be joking with me, Sophia."
He seemed to think this was a joke, but my expression was serious.
"Accept this reality, Theo." I reminded him helplessly.
"Damn it! Sophia! You actually brought my father's mistress back to the apartment? Are you crazy?"
Theo suddenly became furious. I knew how much he despised those bitches who interfered in his parents' relationship, but Caroline was different.
"Theo, I understand how you feel right now, but Caroline is not your father's mistress. She was forced into this. She might only be eighteen years old, you know?"
I seriously wanted to tell him about Caroline's situation, but he seemed unable to listen to anything now.
"Sophia, why can you so easily trust a stranger? You're so stupid!"
"Should I not trust Caroline and trust your father instead? We all know he's a complete lunatic and bastard!"
I yelled at him, and he instantly calmed down.
Next, I saw frustration and remorse on his face.
"Theo," I approached him and touched his tensed arm, "Caroline and Mrs. Ellis are both victims. Caroline is even pregnant now. If Alpha hadn't been relentlessly pursuing her, she wouldn't have turned to me for help in desperation."
The baby in Caroline's belly was a living life, one that shared blood with the Ellis brothers. I knew that Theo was essentially a kind alpha - he wouldn't ignore this.
He frowned: "What did you say? Alpha is stalking her?"
I nodded: "Yes, so she needs my help."
"Fuck! Why didn't you tell me earlier! Sophia, you have no idea how terrifying alpha can be." His tone was very anxious. "Now, make Caroline leave immediately!"
"No, I can't!"
I shook my head in horror. Making Caroline leave the apartment - what difference was that from sending her out to die?
Half an hour later, Logan and Fabian arrived at my apartment.
Theo's decision was too authoritarian; I had no room to resist.
To avoid escalating the conflict and accidentally harming Caroline, I had Marcus take her away from the apartment temporarily.
As soon as Fabian entered, he stared at me.
I sat helplessly on the sofa, accepting their criticism and accusations.
Fabian coldly mocked me: "In just a few days, you've caused so much trouble again. Sophia, your stupidity really exceeds my imagination."
I pursed my lips: "I don't think taking in Caroline was a wrong decision."
"Baby, fortunately I installed a security system in this apartment, otherwise Alpha would have shown up at our door today." Logan spoke flippantly, but his expression remained very grave.
Theo said: "Caroline must leave."
I retorted: "Where are you going to take her? I must remind you again - she's pregnant!"
Fabian interrupted me: "Caroline staying here threatens your safety. We'll transfer her to another place."
"And you." Fabian walked up to me and leaned down. His alpha aura was very strong, having an overwhelming intimidating effect on me.
He bit my ear, his voice low: "Daring to run away the day after sleeping with me? Sophia, you'll be taught a lesson for this."
God, I wasn't afraid of Fabian at all. Since sleeping with him, I'd completely experienced how he "punished" me.
Where would he teach me a lesson?
On the bed, on the table, or on the sofa?
I could accept anywhere.
"Hey! You two!" Logan roared in dissatisfaction.
Fabian slowly stepped back, and my face flushed slightly.
Letting the Ellis brothers and Logan arrange Caroline's whereabouts was perhaps a good decision. They had enough power to protect her safety, which would also reduce the burden on Marcus and me.
I left Caroline my phone number and promised her that next weekend, I would visit her and the baby at her residence.
But before the next Saturday arrived, I received her phone call.
"Sophia, save me, I'm in danger now!" Caroline's terrified voice exploded in my ear.
I immediately became tense: "What happened to you, Caroline?!"
Her voice and condition were very wrong, but the Ellis brothers had told me they would ensure Caroline's safety.
"I just came back from a prenatal checkup at the hospital. On the way home, I encountered several people following me. I could only hide in a coffee shop - he might have found me again."
I knew the "he" she referred to was Alpha Ellis.
"Damn it, Caroline," I complained to her somewhat, "I told you not to go out casually. The Ellis brothers would arrange everything for you. Why don't you trust us?!"
"I'm sorry, I was just worried about the baby's condition..." Her voice became smaller and smaller, then broke into intermittent sobs.
She gave me an address, and I immediately took a taxi to pick her up.
When I arrived at the coffee shop, I immediately looked around, but I didn't see Caroline anywhere.
A terrible feeling rose in my heart. I immediately became alert and turned to leave.
At that moment, a low male voice came from behind me: "Miss Sophia, I didn't expect we'd meet so soon."
A chill ran up my spine. I stiffly turned around, searching for the source of the voice.
Alpha Ellis.
And standing beside him was Caroline.
I stared at her coldly: "You lied to me? Caroline."
Her face still showed helpless panic: "Sophia, I'm sorry, this was all for my child..."
"Sophia, you're a kind girl. You're willing to help Caroline, aren't you?"
Alpha Ellis interrupted Caroline's explanation, signaling with his eyes for her to shut up. "You can go now, Caroline."
Caroline left from beside me.
The coffee shop was instantly surrounded by alpha's guards. I had no way to leave.
"What do you want to do? Bastard!" I cursed at him harshly.
Alpha Ellis put on an innocent expression: "I just want to have a good chat with you."
But I wouldn't believe a single word from his mouth.
He approached me and stood in front of me: "Caroline is a nice girl, but she's pregnant now, which is quite troublesome. However, I can allow her child to be born, as long as you agree to my request."
I looked at him warily: "What?"
He stared at me playfully: "Use yourself to replace Caroline, how about that?"
