Horrors in the Dark
Horrors in the Dark
Darkness took me, I saw my wolf. We walked together as I pet her. I was not sure where we were, but the darkness transformed into a beautiful field that did not look like Scotland or England. It looked like I was in a far-off country, she told me how she used to belong to a girl who worked in the same house as "Raveka”, but she felt caged. Raveka’s mother and father were evil with her mother being the instigator of the father's wickedness.
"Her mother hated werewolves so my former human never let me out where anyone could see, she was terrified of being discovered, her family used to own the territory where they built their kingdom. That girl and her mother were all that was left of their pack after Ravena's family came in and slaughtered everyone.” My wolf continued speaking.
"Ravena used to be a good girl, her mother was the most sinister witch in history, and from an early age saw her as weak. She would torture her, worse than what you endured. She at times would boil her in oil, other times it was burning fire, other times it was needles. The torture would last for years and each time after her mother would heal her with spells and then, leave her in a cage until her cruelty would set into her mind. Her mother reveled in the sounds of her cries and pain." The wolf shook her head in sadness. I was horrified at Athena's words. She continued speaking.
"Her mother was trying to awaken her witch's power and make sure it was tainted by darkness. When Ravena's witch power started to come out with light magic, I saw her curse Ravena with dark powers and a spell that would bind their darkness together. Ravena never knew, she thought she was born dark like her mother."
I wanted to cry for the girl's suffering.
"Ravena's father from what I had heard used to be good until he married her mother, she cursed him with madness. In her curse, he lost his mind and was puddy in her hands. She turned him into a vampire, she had already had a close confidant who was a vampire, and she seduced that person to turn Abner into an insidious creature, and as sinister as her black heart.”
I was picturing everything she said like I was in a dream far away, it was like I was there at one time.
"She was sick, she made sure she conceived during the transformation. She used protective spells on herself but made sure she would naturally bear evil vampire hybrid children. Ravena was the firstborn. The rest she used spells to turn him human until he came in her. the way the spell worked, he would be capable of having her conceive but, only the sperm would have vampirism to make sure it was powerful. She was very bizarre and a twisted bitch. Infant sacrifice and infant blood went to some of her dark spells. "
I stared at Athena in horror. Suddenly, as she spoke it was like this all was a memory that I had forgotten. I knew that it could not be true, I was not alive during this time I was seeing. I also did not look like Raveka, and rejected her possession, why though did I look similar to Alania? Is it because of my mother? My wolf interrupted my thoughts.
"I know what you are thinking, you are a reincarnate but, to a child who Alania never paid attention to, a child she had no interest in resurrecting" I stare at her in shock.
"Her other daughter Hadriana. Alania had two boys and two girls. Hadriana was much like you, she could not break her spirit, turn her powers dark, or as dark as hers. Hadriana did not turn dark except for her anger. She rebelled against Alania constantly, and eventually, once she reached maturity or adulthood in her time, she used a disappearing spell and ran away from home. Alania did not spare her any attention on this. She already had her prized "golden child" Ravena, a missing daughter did not matter to her. Her sons turned just as wicked; she taught them to revel in the darkness with Ravena. They terrorized the city for sport, and with their vampire sides activated they ravaged the town. It was some years later, that folklore about vampires in Romania began to spread through human villages and around the world. This incited the vampires who lived in the region and the rest of the world to rise up against them. Her children disappeared somewhere beyond reach, while Alania and her husband were executed in the throne room of the castle. Rumer says that the throne which she constructed for him to be "the sinister vampire king" absorbed his sinister spirit at the time of their deaths so, he would one day be resurrected to rule beside her."
I asked her if she knew who the "vampire king" was. She looked at me with secrets she would not share. Instead, she moved on to speaking about the werewolf girl. She said her human's name was 'Evelina" and she would use potions to mask her scent to survive. To her sadness in the end, she was found out.
Ravena's brother "Avram" found her shifting. He caught her by her tail; he tortured her with his mind and dragged her to his mother who tortured her for hours before ending her life. Alania found the rest of her wolf family and slaughtered them.
My wolf lowered her head in sorrow. As we walked more, she told me all the history, telling me I would need to know it. She said "Ravena" was not able to own me and was sent back to the darkness of the spirit world however, she will find a way to return, or Alania will do it herself through me if necessary. I shivered in fear at her words.
"What happened to Hadriana?"
The great white wolf looked at me.
"no one knows, she was just never seen again."
I pondered this, my grandmother said we were somehow descendant of Alania, what if we were descendants of Hadriana? That is the only thing that made sense.
'Who was Hadriana's evil Vampire father? Why was my mother not a hybrid if Hadriana was?'
My mind was shrouded in thoughts about the past. My wolf Athena vowed she would protect me and not let that evil any further into the world. She promised me to help me find out the answers to my family, and my questions. I felt myself becoming one with my wolf. In my dream reality, I looked up and saw my two mates. Athena had willed them into my vision she told me, and we embraced each other.
