Chapter 98 Chapter 98 Alex POV
Chapter 98 Chapter 98 Alex POV
My dad handed me my phone back after mom left. Then he took Aidan and I to get some riding gear. Aidan is getting a motorcycle for our birthday. He told me I need gear because he can already see me on the back of Blaze's bike. I laughed when he said that so did he. Aidan said dad called that a small victory, my laugh. We dropped Aidan back off at camp and it was just dad and I.
He made dinner, we ate then we watched some tv. I got caught up on text messages from my friends. I texted Tanner and broke up with him. Then I text Blaze and River. Dad watched me carefully.
"Can I leave you alone? Or I can take you to hang out with your grandfather on pack grounds. Either way I know you are going to be seeing the Wild Boys!"
Dad let me have three days alone. I did not invite the "Wild Boys" over, even though they asked multiple times. I know what boys like them want. I wanted to wait until my birthday. Thursday and Friday dad said I will be going to grandpa's house. He told me I can spend the night and stay in his old room.
Thursday was good, grandpa did not pressure me to talk. He told me about dad, he made dinner. I hung out with Archie, Elena and her sisters. Grandpa said dad and his friends used to sit on the steps and get drunk and smoke. Archie asked if we can drink, grandpa laughed really hard and said no.
Today is Friday, mom will be home in two days. I am outside again with Archie, Elena and Clara. Trista is coming down the street. Here come Blaze and River, you can hear their motorcycles from far. They are loud.
Grandpa and his brother are inside playing cards. The Wild Boys park in front of his house and hop off their bikes. No shirts again, they slip off their leather jackets. They are full of themselves, they know what they look like. Trista has a thing for River, I can tell. If she bats her eyelashes any harder she will fly away. I let a giggle slip. They both skip past her and sit on either side of me. Archie looks over at them pursing his lips and squinting his eyes. They both try to put their arms around me, arguing and pushing the other away.
"What the fuck is so special about Alex, that the two of you are fighting over her?" asks Trista giving me a dirty look.
River opens his mouth but Blaze tells him to shut up. We agreed not to tell anyone. We are still too young, our parents might try to separate us. I don't even know if I want to be attached to them. Grandpa told me that mates can be rejected. He said it is very painful and sometimes can lead to death but it's rare. Gosh, they smell damn, amazing. I can feel their feelings, especially when they are close to me. I was right, they are only after one thing.
Their dad drives by and stops. He steps out of his car and tosses shirts at them. He smiles at me. "You look so much like your mother!" hey says.
"She might look like her mom but she acts like her father!" says some other guy, walking up to my grandfather's place. He has a scar on his neck, I bet it goes down further.
"Shut up Tinkerbell!" says uncle Zack setting little Harlow down.
She runs up the steps and in my arms. She is the cutest little thing. I take my phone out and pull up a coloring app for her to play on. Harlow sits in my lap happy as ever.
"Come on Harlow, we have to get mommy from work!"
"Uncle Zack, what is all this?" asks Archie looking at me.
We have the same idea. Uncle Zack smiles at us and says nothing, suspicion proven. Harlow calls him "daddy" and jumps in his arms, he doesn't correct her, again. As soon as he is out of our field of vision, Archie speaks up.
"My dad and Elena's mom are out on a date!" Elena makes a funny pain face. I start to laugh, this is too much.
I get up and walk down the stairs. Then down the sidewalk, I want to look around here. It's like the cutest small community, all these adorable cabins. Most people sit on their porches at night, everyone knows everyone. Blaze and River come running after me.
We walked through the meadow and next to the treeline. We have been walking around in silence until Blaze broke it.
"Are you really not going to talk all summer?"
I shrug my shoulders at him. I want to be stubborn and not speak but a few times, I've almost slipped up.
"I want to hear you say my name!" he adds.
"Me too!" says River.
I take a deep breath in but before I can release it Blaze grabs my face and kisses me. I have never been kissed this way. He takes my breath away, I feel like I can float away. He tastes sweet like candy. My hands wrap around him, I let him deepen the kiss. His hands roam over my body.
River grabs my hand and rips me away from his brother. His mouth on mine, tongue in my mouth. River tastes minty. My hands go in his hair, he grabs my ass. Blaze gets behind me, his lips on my neck, we are making like some kind of makeout sandwich. They set me on fire, my heart is beating out of my chest. Blaze's hands move up my stomach and stop right under my boobs.
I push them both away, at arm's length as I try to catch my breath. They are both panting too.
"Was that too much?" asks River.
I take his hand and put it over my heart. He smiles and does the same with my hand. His heart beats so fast, it feels like it will rip out of his chest. Blaze pulls me back, my back pressed against him, his arms around me. His hug is warm and kind but then I feel him on my butt, he is hard.
"Do you want to go for a ride, little mouse?"
"Did you bring your riding gear?" asks River.
