Chapter 156
Zairiel
We both got in and buckled up. Mom was in the front… and she wasn’t mad.
Those two held hands on the drive home… One day I will have that… one more year.
“What happened?” Asked mom.
“He’s innocent. Just teen drama; I shan’t be involved.” he said kissing her hand.
“Zairiel, don’t go to far.” She warned.
“I gave my word I wouldn’t harm any of my classmates.” I said not saying anything more.
The car was quiet.
“Oh my gods! Patricia got Busted!” Screamed Zohlliba. “Tony brought alcohol To The House While Mr. Chambers Was Still There!!!! OH MY GODS!! TONY CAME OVER WITH RAY!!!!”
“So no party. Boo-hoo.” I grinned.
Oh that was Sweet!
Zulliba glared at me!
“I Have Nothing To Do With That! HA! That’s what she fucking gets though!”
“He’s not lying. That was teen stupidity.” Said dad.
“….Girls I don’t know if I like those friends of yours.” Said mom.
“They’re fake friends.” They both said together.
“Beth’s mad that Tony likes me, but I already have a boyfriend.” Zoh hissed.
“And it’s Gross too. I KNEW he was seeing Ray, and he tried talking to me too.” Zulliba cringed. “I have one year left.”
“Me too.” They fist bumped.
Me three… but unlike those two… I feel my mate…
“Do y’all mind if I go on my mini vacation. I *really* want to hunt.”
“Sorry.” Said my sisters. I’m not mad. They should be happy, but at the moment, I was feeling…
A little dragony… Irritable and cranky. At school they call it hangry. I guess I’m mate-gry.
“Be back Sunday at 5am. Don’t disappoint grandfather.” Dad said with a small smile.
“Thanks dad!” I disappeared.
Now…. My Green Gemstone, spinning ‘round a white star, TWICE the size of Jupatori, made of ROCK!!!! GOOD SOIL TOO.
I paid a Fucking Fortune for this place.
I Paid father Ten Thousand Tons of gold! Earned with blood, paid with coin…
I am proud.
It’s because it’s Developed. Perfectly balanced with no mortals. I could literally plop a people here and they’d do just fine, but this world will Never know that!
This place is gonna be a fucking action figure in the box. Mint Condition!
I flew around a moment, being the size of Urth. Heh-heh!
My roar even made a sonic boom. Overkill.
Unnecessary! But WHO CARES!
I dived, landing softly in a massive green expanse, the start of a Great wild meadow that will frost tonight. I could see my breath.
I rolled around in the grass!
I took it all in…
This is Mine now.
Good thing I did this in the spirit world too… so I didn’t squish anything.
By the Laws of Dragon Instinct. I am now a man. Should I find my wife right now, I’d drop everything for her… any meat she could dream to eat is here somewhere
Any fruit or vegetable, I have some kind of it.
The land is Lush… great coniferous forests in the north, and mighty oaks and redwoods to the south… It mirrored Urth before the war, however it had more than 7 continents… There were 15 big ones and 8 littler ones on this gift planet… a mighty green marble of lush jungle and wonderous splendor.
Also this world has dinosaurs… like… That’s Cool.
The cottage I had down here was in the middle of the lush grassland that stretches for as far as I can see… I guess the equivalent to the Great Plains of the States United? I picked this because of the plethora of meat…
I can see bison as much as I can see sabertoothed cats… and feathered dinosaurs. The T-rex went extinct, but the smaller ones like velociraptors, and medium sized grazers make it just fine. Anything under the size of a mammoth is sustainable.
In the oceans, sea monsters really don’t have a limit. This planet is enormous, and the depths of the waters here are so vast that I haven’t finished exploring.
I went inside my cottage. It was admittedly a copy of a log cabin I saw on TV, one with 10 bedrooms, kitchen, 10 bathrooms and Nobody to interrupt me.
I now had access to Alexis. I’ll use it for homework.
I lit the fireplace with summoned logs, and opened my windows. It was spring here, so baby animals migrated with their mothers. There was a herd of woolly rhino out there, along with a small family of mammoth, and dire deer. The dire wolves were out too, but they looked full.
All the while I didn’t disrupt them, because I think they know there’s no point to be afraid. I’m not really eating my larder. I just kind of like seeing them run around for now. Plus, I had a Really good lunch before it was ruined.
My god console became a school laptop, and through the divine wifi, I have access to human internet, but nothing more when I’m working on school projects.
What I need.
I’m glad I listened to father… The grasslands here are soothing. Animals here looked pretty much *exactly* on Urth. Some worlds are just like that.
I summoned and did my homework. Calculus is hard, and I had to use my god console to pull up WeTube to figure it out. I used it to type and print my essay on Romo and Julia for English Lit AP as well, but it can Only be used like a regular computer… She knows the perfect answer and how to word it but it won’t.
I said that Romo was careless and should have checked before committing such passion, then they could have run away together. I also made sure to add the stupid citations this time!
And I won’t cheat. I… I know I’m kinda skirting by with C’s but ONE MORE YEAR!
I did homework until sundown, and after that I brushed my teeth and went to bed. I think I’ll have rabbit stew for breakfast. I had one in the deep freezer already… and the modern conveniences here are run on a magic generator and septic. Eskaal did that for me, my 10th birthday. He even showed me how to fix it myself.
I don’t need sleep, but why not? It’s not R&R without that part.
\-3 hours later-
I got bored of that and made my stew. The dire wolves were fighting the velociraptors for a kill… My money was on the wolves… I added some salt. I summoned a pot and boiled the water, but it tasted pretty bland.
The Alpha wolf and the Alpha dinosaur got into it, but both broke it off after the saber cat stole the meat in the chaos… That was ballsy.
Still not enough salt. I summoned a box. That should be enough.
My dinner didn’t taste very good, but it was … eatable… Sort of…
I think a pound of salt was too much. I Think that much is fatal?
It tasted it.
It sucked so bad I decided to go off world. It doesn’t matter what grandpa time tries… I can’t do what he does.
He’s really anal about his ingredients though. Things have to be ‘within seconds of ‘perfect ripeness’ or he won’t use it.
He won’t use magic on it either, because then it tastes ‘timey.’
With a teleport I could do or have nearly whatever I want… Yet… there is an emptiness.
I found myself feeling lonely again… It made me wonder did the mortal time I have at school bleed into my normal life.
I went to Layer 1. The city’s always busy, yet the mortals there did not soothe this ache. They made it Worse with their begging…
I didn’t want to bother my family….
….I had an idea…
…. The Lord of Light won’t mind if I spend my Saturday on his lands right? Before anyone noticed I slipped to the Light Court.
Nobody noticed…
I picked a random world I saw, Uarth. It was a medieval world when I ported there.
They were screaming, but not at me. A meteor was going to collide with their planet, so I snapped my fingers and ate it instead… 76% iron, 8% lead, and the rest is ice. Not too bad, better than **salt stew.**
No one saw that, but they gave their praise to Arviel.
…. I …. I think I should *leave*.
With a teleport, I was in Haven… Not home.
Well Shit.
“I owe him a favor Zuviel, calm the Fuck Down.” Said the Lord of Light. “You’re not in trouble.”
“THE FUCK HE IS!”
“Well not with *me.*” Lord Arviel chuckled.
Miracles…. Saving Arviel’s people isn’t a crime, but I wasn’t supposed to.
But like… I can’t just be there able to do something and Don’t….
I bowed my head. “They were in danger when I got there… It was just spur of the moment.”
“We know.” Sighed Arviel.
“But Miracles?!” Shouted the Horned One. “No grandson of Mine is going to be out here acting like an Angel.” He hissed.
“What’s wrong with being an angel?” Asked Arviel.
“He Is Obliteration! This isn’t My Tiniest Horsey!” he shouted.
“I wasn’t thinking!”
“I can Tell! You’re grounded!” the Horned One could not be convinced.
“Bu-” I was sent away…
I landed on the dining room table back home.
“Miracles son?” asked father disappointed. “But I saw too. You just wanted some real food.” He patted the sofa. “Come have nachos with me.”
“There’s still leftovers in the fridge too.” Said mom. “A pound of salt son?”
“Yeah…” I mumbled.
Dad texted the Horned One. “You can go to the barn rising, but you can’t use your powers for a month.”
“AWE DAMN!”
“But…. Arviel’s favor has saved you this time.” He smiled. “Get on Auto’s Grand Theft. It’s the LAST Solsticemas event they’re gonna do.”
“Oh yeah, servers go down in January.” I mumbled. That’s a bummer… I grew up playing all 1 through 7, but I heard 8 is supposed to have better graphics.
