Chapter 36 Akira and Oscar
HIDDEN BEAUTY

EPISODE 36

LOCKER ROOM.

“Seriously. Guys, I'm fine. Isla can have the dance, I'll take off my hoodie if I wanted it in the first place."

“ Are you sure Ak? We can go appeal if you want," said Luna.

“ I second that, Elsie chimed in. She looked really cool in it .....

“ If looking like the Grim Reaper is cool then yeah. Whatever makes you sleep at night." A voice said from behind them.

“ What do you want Isla!" Violet snapped.

“ Calm down tiger" I just want your friend to admit defeat for once. I won fair and square, and she lost, so come off your high horse and admit it. I'm going to be representing at the school's talent show."

“ Really?." Violet scoffed. If I remember correctly, you had to go low to get the position of representative for the school's talent show she said moving closer to Isla.

“ And what if I went low! Isla said obviously intimidated by Violet. Rosevale needs a representative with a pretty face not.. not that!

“ That? Akira who has been silent all this while laughed before slowly turning around and walking up to Isla.

Do you think you'll have a chance if I take of my hood?"

“ I... you.. what are you going to do? Isla panicked.

“ Let's go guys, and please ignore this clown," Akira said to her friends.

Isla breathed a sigh of relief when Akira was outside the locker room. She didn't know Akira could be this scary. But she could not let her have the upper hand.

“What could possibly be under that hoodie if not a hideous, scarred face?" She yelled.

“ Don't tempt me Isla, you'll not like how quickly you'll loose your relevance if you do" Akira replied without turning back.

Akira parted ways with her friends. They left for the art room while she headed to Elliott's Private Quarters.

She pushed the half closed door open and stepped in. Elliott was shirtless on a sofa, smoking a cigarette. He had a a familiar looking tattoo of a fiery dragon pierced through with an arrow.

The tattoo looked Soo familiar she couldn't help but stare intently trying to remember where she'd seen it.

“ Take a picture, it'll last longer." Elliott said cockily.

“ Don't flatter yourself Akira frowned".

“ Really? You're gonna deny that you were looking or that you liked what you saw." Elliott winked, smiling suggestively.

Akira huffed and sat on a nearby sofa. She didn't have the energy to keep engaging him.

“ I watched you dance today, you did excellent. You're free to dance in my next music video. I'm ready whenever you are."

“ You should rest, you seem tired." Elliott said when he saw she had no intention of engaging him further.

They stayed in silence until a ringing phone broke the silence several minutes later.

“ Yes? Okay. I'll be there."

“ I'm stepping,I have something urgent to attend to. Do not wait for me," Elliott said putting on a shirt and exiting the room in haste.

Akira watches his retreating back wondering what he was up to that made him leave in such haste. After thinking for a while she stood up and left the the room for the library. She needed to inform Oscar,so he could track Elliott.

She didn't find Oscar at his usual spot at the library so she began looking for him, she searched, walking from section to section bumping into Aiden at the history section. She made to ignore him when him pulled her back.

“ What's up princess?" He asked with his usual annoying smile she hated.

“ What do you want?" She snapped wriggling out of his grip.

“ Fine. I know we didn't start off on the right foot, but can we reset that?" Aiden said with fake sincerity but Akira wasn't going to fall for that.

“ Look here Aiden, I'll really appreciate if you stay off my path the same way I stay off yours. And tell your friends to do same."

“ I mean no harm, Akira,I just want to be friends. And as for my friends getting close to you...I overheard them placing a bet on you. Don't tell anyone I told you, I'm just looking out for someone I like and wanna be friends with ". Aiden was willing to do anything to win the bet. Including discrediting his friends.

“ I'm not stupid Aiden. I'm sure you're part of it and would do anything to win, you hate my guts so why are you suddenly desperate to be friends to the point of telling on your own friends? I won't say this again......

“ Is everything okay? Are you alright Akira Oscar called out suddenly noticing Akira from where he stood taking inventory of newly purchased books.

“ Mind your business can't you see we are having a conversation?" Aiden snapped.

“ I'm good Oscar, pay him no heed." Akira said going over to Oscar leaving a fuming Aiden behind.

“ I'm so sorry Akira, if I didn't have my ears blocked with a headset, I'll have noticed on time that he was troubling you."

“ It's fine Oscar. He can't do anything to me."

“ You sure?" Oscar asked still worried.

“ Yes" now stop talking about him. I've looked round the library for you," Akira whined making Oscar chuckle.

“ Were you worried about me?" Oscar winked earning a scoff from Akira.

“ You flatter yourself, Akira laughed leading back to his usual spot by the tie while the students present in the library watched them like they had reindeer horns on their head.

“He's at an abandoned cafe," Oscar said, patiently watching Elliott through his laptop. They were now at an abandoned inner room in the library. A room no one knew existed.

“Who's the man?" Akira asked staring at the masked man that just joined Oscar through the screen.

“ I'll run a check on his image to see if I can find a match."

“ I think you should get little undetectable speakers in case of next time."

“ You're right, I'll call a friend to get them. You just need to slip it into his drink."

“ From the monitor, Elliott talked to the man for sometime, then handed him a briefcase filled with cash, then they shook hands and left.

“ I saw a strange tattoo on Elliott's chest today....it looked soo familiar Akira tilted her head, too deep in thoughts to notice the jealous look on Oscar's face. It was a fiery dragon pierced through with an arrow," she muttered.

“ Did you just say, a fiery dragon pierced through with an arrow?" Oscar asked ignoring the jealous feeling. Was there an inscription? He asked when she nodded.

“ It look like it had one around it, she said unsure. He wasn't soo close."

“ I'll talk to my friend. But you need to be careful Akira. If it is what he thinks it is, then things just took a very dangerous twist.

They left the room and returned to the library a few minutes later. Oscar decided to show Akira round the school.

They spent the thirty minutes before dismissal touring, playing and laughing. They even ate some fruits from the school's orchard.

They got carried away into their own little world of happiness they didn't notice school was long over. They only noticed how much time had passed when a message popped up on Oscar's phone.

“ 5:00PM? OMG! I have to go," Akira said.

“ I'll take you. Come let's go get your things" Oscar said pulling her through the hallways towards the locker room. And unknown to them, Elliott stood, watching from a distance, anger slowly rising within him.
