Chapter 91
Light from his lap top reflected on his face as a scene played slowly, he made a crunchy noise as he pressed the replay button.
He took more note on his jotter and clicked Play, it had been his routine for the past three days.
He had barely walked out of his room or done anything other than glue to the laptop screen, while he had thought that finding clues would be easier, it had proven to be far more difficult than it already was…

Logan glances at the time, it was quarter past significant to the fact that he had spent the entire day again all to himself.
He felt he might get crazy that day if he didn't make his way out and so he walked out of his room, something he had not done in days.
What he didn't expect was that he would run into her, she was walking back from having a swim.
His first attempt was to avoid her before heading down to the dinning but she beat him to it, as she walked ahead of him and planted herself at the front of the room preventing him from advancing.
“You've been avoiding me." She muttered.
He rolled his eyes surprised. " And what gives you that impression?”
To be factual, he had thought about her zero times. All that ran through his mind was how to bring the piece's of all the details together.
She could still see that darkness in his eyes that didn't look like it was ending anytime soon , it engulfs her deeply till all she could feel was a kind of relenting force pulling her into the cavity of darkness hos burning stare was portraying.
“Why do you think all of this is about you?"
She didn't know what all of the bad energy was all about, as he brushes past her one part of her mind wanted to let him go and forget it happened but then again, she decided again that it was time she brought this entire dark energy to rest.
She went after him, just as she was about making ways to the sink, he decided that he didn't need to turn to see the look in her eyes , he could hear it already in the heavy echoes her heart made.
He turned his attention to the dripping noise, made by the faucet as he filled a cup with water.
“Leave us!" The order was directed to the maids that were starting to give shifty eyes not understanding the situation.
They left one after the other, soon as the last one walked out she shut the door.
All of a sudden the room was left to the sound of silence enough that you would hear a needle drop , that was if her heart wasn't beating crazily.
A soft breeze blew through the room, she could Feel what it was to be at the receiving end now, her mind thrilled back to those times that he had spent a long time trying to plead with her and how she had turned deaf ears, was he trying to do the same.
“We need to talk." She says immediately they were gone.
He sighed.
He was in no mood to what , still he enjoyed the lushness it gave him.
She looked better than she had since the accident, the red of her skin was starting to reflect again the beautiful life creation of her face.
He shook away the thought weighing heavily in his mind.
“What do you want?"
She didn't say a word, all she did was stare at his face In a manner that provoked him.
*******
Tick.
Tick…
As the minutes trickled slowly, the same was her pulse. Joanne stood Right there staring at him
,She kept her back to the the island for a moment, leaning against it and staring at
the wall.
She was lost words, didn't Know what to say or how to start the entire conversation—
Should she just apologize!
But what for, she wasn't even sure why he was mad at her …
“Been standing here for twenty minutes and you have yet to say anything."
Immediately he said those Words her chest. She didn’t think she’d ever felt this worried with or maybe resentful regarding her transgressions, but now she did.
She wouldn't say she feared him, rather all it left in her was that feeling that seared with a bitter cutting flame.
“I don't know what to say honestly."
“Then why did you stop me, I told you I have something important."
Those word's fell out of his lips calmly but it was still as though heavy weights pulled over her conscience.
“Well if you wouldn't speak, I wouldn't let you waste my time."
He attempted to leave but she stopped him, he looked down to where their hands were joined.
Her eyes burned, and she blinked to keep the tears at bay.
She couldn't cry, she knew this — She could let out her worries, show fear and vulnerability but cry?
She’d prepared for this and yet now that she was face to face with him, her lips tremendously trembled.
“Fine, I am Sorry!"
The words broke out of her lips.
What was she sorry for exactly…
It was too late to take back her word's, all she could do was come face to face with that look of satisfaction on his face as though he had been waiting for her to say that exact word… Sorry!
“What exactly are you sorry for?"
She wanted to turn back the clock and wish she never picked that call, or likewise a few moments ago, had not left any pleasurable impressions on him that she had something to confess.
Now, they were stains she couldn’t wash away. From the exaggerated banging of her chest to the burning gaze in his eyes, she knew she had to do this.
As he asked again—
“What exactly are you sorry for?”
Joanne's heart gave one big bang!
