The situation was sickening and heart-wrenching. But with my Alphas, my best friend Lily, Elder Amon, Sorceress Valerie and Sir Elvador by my side... I felt safe.
The night sky was getting dark and I couldn't help but wonder why this kind of thing was happening to me.
"Back at home with my parents, I remember suffering from this same memory loss issue," I said to Lily who was in the room with me, flashing to the time I opened my eyes and found my parents looking at me.
"I completely forgot a lot of things about my childhood. All I had were photo albums to prove I was indeed their child," I added, feeling the warm wet towel Lily placed on my forehead.
It was a treatment the Alphas and Valerie assigned her to do, so as to calm my troubling mind.
Very relaxing, I must say.
"Don't think too much, my Queen. Soon, all these problems will be over," Lily smiled, massaging my forehead.
I smiled back at her and said, drawing near until my head was resting on her shoulder, "I'm glad you're my friend, Lily."
"Aww, don't make me cry, my Queen. I'm just a simple maid," She sniffed, wiping off imaginary tears from her eyes like she's some saint.
"The most spoilt maid I've ever met," I teased, poking her ribs.
Lily jumped in laughter, managing to escape me by using the bowl of warm water to her advantage.
"If this spills on the bed, the Alphas will strangle me. How will they enjoy their night with their Luna if the bed is soaking wet?" She gave me that naughty wink, making me toss my pillow at her.
"I'm going to tell Elvador how wild his girlfriend really is," I played, smirking at Lily.
Her mouth had dropped at my words, and her face turned red as she stammered, probably heating up already, "My Queen! Don't... Don't make such statements. I'm not his girlfriend. In fact I don't understand what you're saying."
"Denying it right in my face, huh Lily?" I grinned, winking at her.
Lily was about to explode. She held the pillow I threw at her and covered her face with it.
"Haven't you noticed how he stares at you? Today when you two were going head to head with Doveris and Adira, that wolf couldn't stop himself from gawking at you with pride," I chuckled, watching Lily's fluffy ears dance with excitement.
She lowered her pillow to reveal her red face and asked shyly, "So, he was looking at me?"
I nodded, crossing my legs in bed.
"That man wants to eat you up, but it seems he's worried about your reaction," I answered, catching a glimpse of joy on Lily's face.
I know she loves Elvador, and the head guard loves her too.
They just need someone to push them closer. And I don't mind being that rope that ties them together.
"How about making the move, Lily?"
"Me?" She flushed, pointing at herself.
I smirked and said, getting out of bed, approaching her, "You're the wild one between you two. Give Elvador that sign that you want him and watch the magic."
I stood before her, took the pillow out of her hand, then giggled at her body reaction.
She's super excited but also shy to show it.
Even her dancing ears prove how much she wants to be in Elvador's arms right now.
"What if he doesn't respond back?" She asked worriedly, revealing the main reason she has been holding back for so long.
She's afraid of his reaction once she expresses her feelings.
I sighed, cupped her face and said sweetly, "He will definitely respond positively."
Hearing my words, Lily's eyes shimmered with hope, as she smiled and nodded, ready to give this a go.
That's when we heard the door opening and turned to look.
In came my Alphas from their meeting with Valerie. They've been talking with her for long. They must be starving.
"Hey," All three sounded with pleasure when they saw me on my feet, looking back at them.
I smiled and walked up to them, stretching my hand to caress their faces.
"What did Valerie say?" I asked, as they led me to the bed to have a seat.
Hugo spoke, taking his seat first, "All ingredients will be ready soon."
"That's great," I said with a smile, getting pulled down by Dean, who made me sit on his lap.
"For now, the Queen needs to relax and keep us company," Jay joked, kissing my hand.
I giggled, leaning into Dean's hold.
"At least the ingredients needed for my cure will be ready soon," I said within, letting out a sigh.
That's when I lifted my eyes at the door and realized Elvador had followed the Alphas back to the room.
He was standing there, eyes glued on Lily, who also had her gaze pinned on him, with her face flushing.
It felt like they were communicating with their minds and hearts, but were too shy to let it out.
Seeing this is a good start... "Lily, you said you needed help in moving something in my old room. Now that Elvador is here, maybe he can help out. Right?"
"Huh?" Lily's eyes popped in confusion. She was very slow in grabbing my words.
But Elvador who heard me clearly, responded, "I can definitely help out, my Queen. Shall we?"
He turned to face Lily, smiling at her.
Her mind completely went blank before she got herself and nodded, shyly approaching him.
Then together, with their heads down, acting like first time lovers, they left the room.
Once they were gone, I chuckled with satisfaction, resting well in Dean's hold.
"Someone's busy playing matchmaker," Dean said with a smile, wrapping his arms around me while I laughed.
"I mean she's right to pair those two. How long will they stare at each other and not make a move?" Jay added in a teasing tone, still playing with my hand passionately.
Hugo turned to face me and said, "You don't have anything you're moving. You're giving those two a private space to be alone and get wild. Isn't that right, you naughty Queen?"
I couldn't hold back my laughter and humbly admitted to my crime.
"Someone had to do it. Can't leave my friend dying for her dream man's physical touch. So Kudos to me," I patted my own head, making the Alphas laugh.
That's when their stomach growled making me chuckle.
"How about I fix something up for us to eat?" I suggested, pulling myself out of Dean's hold, walking to the door with my hands crossed at my back.
My Alphas smiled and followed me like good wolves.
I was starving too. Didn't eat because I was waiting for them.
"They've been occupied with my matter all day and that touches me deeply. When this is over, I'll plan a special picnic for all four of us, away from Crescent pack. No one else to bug the happy couple," I smiled inwardly, looking back to find all three gazing at me like I'm some angel.
Is it me or has their level of gawking increased?
They stare at me with so much desire. I'm enchanted.
