Killian.
I saw it. And you couldn’t imagine how much I wanted to jump off the fourth floor and come between them. How dare that girl slap my mate?
She should be grateful I didn’t hit girls. But I was near my edge and I wanted to intervene. When I saw Hailey was about to attack Yzabelle for the second time, I was ready to jump off and hurried through them. But then, Yzabelle seemed to grow bones and fend her off. I could never be proud.
And while watching them—eavesdropping on their conversation, actually—I realized one thing. Yzabelle would never tolerate anyone who wanted to hurt her.
She only tolerated Hailey and Andrea just because she thought her father cherished them.
If only she knew why Draco brought those bitches to his mansion.
And oh? Draco made the right decision. He was finally ditching those girls.
I wasn’t sure what the reasons were. Maybe, he finally knew it would be hard to hide Yzabelle’s abilities if those humans were in his house. He probably wanted Yzabelle back to his mansion.
If that were the case, it would be hard for me to come near Yzabelle.
I saw her walking towards the exit gate. She must be going to her Dad’s office. I better give her a ride.
I searched the whole area if anyone could see me. The area was clear. Then I jumped off the fourth floor and rushed through the parking space. Soon, I was driving my way toward Yzabelle.
I would do everything just to be with her again. I didn’t care if she thought it was an obsession that drove me to act like this. She would understand when she totally became like us—when she finally became like us.

Yzabelle.
I dialed Miles' number while walking towards the exit gate. Finally! She answered.
“Hi, Miles? It’s been a while,” I greeted her.
“Ms. Bathory? Oh my God, I’m so sorry! I already forgot to give you a call. Actually, the chairman cut his vacation earlier than he was supposed to. But his schedule was full-packed and he went overseas the same day. Because of that, I already forgot to reach out to you. I’m really sorry, Ms. Bathory. This will never happen again,” Miles was frantic. She seemed to be worried about me being angry or anything.
But she knew me better. I would never yell at her like Hailey did. She must have been traumatized by every threat that Hailey threw at her whenever she came by.
I remembered one time that I visited Dad in his office and I saw Hailey was there too. I was certain she was there again to suck some money from my father. She enjoyed being the young lady of the Bathory.
I remembered Hailey yelling at Miles, telling the poor assistant that she would be fired if she didn’t bring Hailey to the conference room right at that moment.
Miles was in distress back then. She didn’t know how to handle the situation so I stepped in and talked to Hailey. We ended up at Dad’s office, waiting for my father. And there, right after Dad stepped in, Hailey didn’t beat around the bush. She said her concerns and it was her credit card that reached the limit and she needed money.
I couldn’t believe her. Where did she get the guts to do that? She had no shame.
And my dad was always the willing victim, she handed her a check. I wanted to confront him about Hailey’s overspending but Dad beat my words. He said he just did that to get rid of Hailey so we could discuss why I suddenly visited him.
I wasn’t there for money just like his stepdaughter. And I was certain he knew me better. I came whenever I missed him and wanted to spend some time with him.
“It’s okay. Was he already back? I am on my way to his building,”
“Oh well, he just came back to the city last night and his meeting at the moment will be done in a few minutes.” Miles sounded relieved.
“Good. Thanks, Miles.”
“You’re always welcome, Ms. Bathory.”
I ended the call and continued walking when I heard someone blow his horn at me.
A black expensive car came to a halt just right beside me. And I was certain whose car it was.
The window shield opened and Killian greeted me with a smile.
Oh, how I missed that smile.
And those lips. Those thin red lips that looked so luscious to me. Gazing back at him now, I could not help but feel the achingly delicious heat flow down from my body to my groin—
Stop it, Yzabelle!
The warning bells quickly pulled me back to my sanity. He attempted to kill me and yet I was still fantasizing over him?
I quickly turned away and continued walking down the road. I could only wish for a cab to suddenly appear.
Ugh! Damn it!
I should have brought my car. It was still at Clinton Tower’s parking lot. Corbin gave me a ride last night and I just let him. He said I should at least let him since I already declined every proposal he gave me.
“I’ll give you a lift, come on,” he said while tailing me.
He was driving slowly to keep up with my pace. And I thought slowing down didn’t appear in his dictionary. Back then at the Louvre Town, I saw how fast he came and left.
And if Corbin was telling the truth, Killian must know how to teleport. Why was he driving a car now? And he was driving it too slowly. He should be pissed by now.
“Come on, Yzabelle. There were no cabs coming here,” he loudly said, and with certainty.
I frowned at him. “How did you know?”
“I have taken care of them.”
I rolled my eyes.
Of course, he did. What should I expect?
“And I will make sure nothing will come until you ride my car.”
No. I wasn’t riding in his car.
“Keep on being stubborn and you will lose your chance to talk to your dad today. Or maybe the next day, next week. Or probably until next month. No one knows,” the brute nonchalantly said.
No, he was threatening me.
I frowned at him once more. He certainly knew something.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he knew I was going to my dad. I read that lycans have exceptional sensing abilities. He must have heard me talking to Miles just a while ago.
But what surprised me was the fact that he said ‘those’ things. He knew if I lost my chance to talk to Dad today, I would probably wait for a week or maybe a month to talk to my father.
What did he know that I didn’t?
