“If this is the same potion I use to get pregnant, then it will not resolve the problem,” Mom doubtfully said.
“No. I don’t think so. Saskia’s potions are very helpful. She helped a lot of she-wolves to get pregnant using that and all of them are successful. They didn’t face any problem.”
Mom gazed at me intently. One moment she was doubtful, the next she was confused… then sad, and regretful.
“If that is so, then, what could be the problem? Did I make a mistake in using it?”

I quickly shook my head to alleviate her regrets and sorrows.
“I am not sure, Mom. Maybe the time you use it matters also. It might have made a difference. I remember Saskia told me that she-wolves should use it during a special full moon mating time. Maybe, the special the time was, the special a pup you could create.”
My eyes glittered with great hope and excitement upon thinking of the idea.
Yes, they do really use it at full moon. But it’s the bloody full moon. Though it's special, who knows the cons? Maybe, the rarest golden moon will be much better.
I turned to Mom again, held her hand tightly. This time, I was more eager to pursue her.
“Maybe the full moon has something to do with it. Why don’t you try tonight? The rarest golden full moon might help a lot.”
Yeah, I knew tonight, the rarest kind of golden full moon would appear. I planned this ahead, that was why I asked Saskia to bring me at this time.
Mom was silent for a long time. Long enough for me to develop great havoc inside me.
Oh please, Mom. Do it! Please do it tonight.
As the seconds passed by that Mom wasn’t saying anything, I could not help but feel nervous. Little by little, my confidence started to wash off.

“Alright. I’ll do that,” Mom broke the silence between us.
My eyes shone brightly. I seemed to see rays of hope in front of me.
“You will? You mean you will conceive me tonight?”
“Yes…” she breathed.
My eyes started to well up again. A huge hope started to flood my heart.
This was it… I was going to have a better fate.
With overwhelming happiness, I threw myself to Mom again. I could not help but sob.
I hoped I would be able to have my wolf this time… I didn’t want to continue life being an Omega. Though our Alpha wasn’t cruel, yet, I would never get used to being an Omega. I had a lot of plans in life ahead of me, regardless if I would become a Luna or not.
“Ssshhh… calm down, darling. Everything will be alright.”
Mom let go of me and wiped away all my tears.
“Ever since you entered my room, all you did was cry. And I don’t even know how to call you while comforting you,” Mom lovingly smiled at me. “Tell me, honey. What did we name you?”
Realizing what Mom just said, I could not help but laugh.
“Gosh! I didn’t realize that!” They both laughed at it. “Well, I am Laura,” I gave her a knowing smile while her eyes grew wide again. “Yeah, you said you named me after my grandma who is one of the respected elders of Night Forest Pack.”
“Oh, gosh! It really happened then. Your Dad and I already talked about the names we are going to use when we have our pup. If it’s a boy, we’ll name after his father. And if it’s a girl, we’ll name it after my dearest grandma.”
I couldn’t help but smile while seeing the loving gaze Mom was giving me.
“You really are my daughter!”
“I am.”
“Nice to meet you, Laura, honey.”
After a lot of crying, I started to tell Mom how to use the potion. Of course I knew the instructions because I had heard it a lot of times from Mom and Saskia.
“Mom, I think I have to go,” I rose from my seat and prepared to leave.
Mom suddenly felt restless. I was certain she didn’t want me to leave right away.
“You still need to prepare a lot of things for tonight, while I have some things to look for.”
“What? Are you going back already?”
I shook my head gently. “No, Mom, I still have a few hours to stay here. Tomorrow, at dawn, I will be leaving. I will try to check on you before I go back—”
“But where are you going? What if someone noticed you?”
I gave Mom a confident smile. “Believe me, Mom, I can camouflage. I have the same scent as the other pack members. No one will notice me.”
Mom still looked unconvinced but I held her hand and squeezed it warmly, giving her assurance.
“And I looked a lot like you. I am your age, also. Maybe I can pretend I am you,” I giggled at the ridiculous idea.
Mom shook her head while giggling.
“I am certain my baby grew smarter than I wished she would be.”
After a long goodbye, I snuck out from the balcony the way I got in.
Since I was in the past and still have a few hours, maybe I should pay my asshole mate a visit. Ivy was my age so she probably wasn’t born yet at this time.
I walked towards the community garden and secretly watched those little brats playing outside. A cute little kid was running through the vast area too, while his nanny tried hard to catch him.
“Please, young master, slow down. I couldn’t catch up.”
But the little brat wouldn’t slow down. He even made things harder for the Omega. I quickly noticed that the naughty little brat was the young Alaric.
Yeah, I didn’t know what kind of kid he was but I am pretty sure he was that kid. Who else an Omega would call a young master other than the son of Alpha Evo.
“Catch me if you can…” the little brat giggled.
The young Alaric continued making it hard for the Omega to chase him. Since he was the son of an Alpha, he possessed special skills that ordinary werewolves would never have.
“That stubborn little brat.”
As if he heard me, the young Alaric stopped from running. He looks around as if he was looking for someone.
His eyes lingered in my direction.
