Levi Will Never Be Exclusive
Jed and Levi stood over Rachel with their hands on their hips looking at her. The pain in her subsided to just a dull headache. “Well, they left us, go figure.” Levi said while looking at Rachel trying to decide if her pain was because of the Alp. Knowing Kalisto and Alexios took off after the Alp so it should be gone if it was even here. If it’s gone then her pain subsides which does make a lot of sense.
“I thought we were sticking together, but we’re on our own. Might as well go to her house.” Pointing at Rachel now standing up straight. Holding his hand out, Rachel put her small hand in his and all three of them walked out of the clearing and into the forest so they could get to the truck.
“Levi, I want to ask you something.” Rachel squeezed his hand and looked up at him as they walked. She didn’t care if Jed heard or not.
“Go for it.” He took her hand and started swinging it like a child would. Looking down at her he chuckled “What’s the question?”
She couldn’t help but smile as she looked up at his handsome face, she loved him so much. “We have been intimate for a long time so I want to know why are we not exclusive?” Turning her eyes towards the ground, she wanted him to say they are, but she knew that he didn’t want to be exclusive to anyone.
Letting out a large breath of air, he knew she was going to ask him this question sooner or later. “I’m just not that kind of guy, but I will tell you that Rachel, you are very special to me.” While still walking he placed his finger under her chin and tilted her face up while he brought his down to meet her lips. Giving her a soft, quick kiss on her lip. “No one will ever replace you. But I can’t be exclusive baby.”
She closed her eyes as he kissed her, a tear started to fall from her eye when he told her pretty much, she’s special but it will never be just him and her. Turning her face away from him she wiped her tear and sucked in her breath. She didn’t want him to see her upset over what he said. She knew the answer anyway before she asked. Why did she even ask? She thought to herself.
Jed was hearing the whole conversation between the two. He snickered when Levi told her he would not be exclusive. Did he not see how special she is? Did he not see how beautiful she is? She is prettier than 99 percent of the women in their town. He thought to himself while trying to not show how disappointed he was in Levi.
Wanting to change the subject between Levi and Rachel, Jed said “hey, I’m starving. What about you two?” Rachel shook her head yes; she didn’t feel like talking after her short conversation with Levi.
“Hell, yeah, I’m starving. We can eat when we get to Rachel’s house.” Levi didn’t want to stop to eat anywhere. They are on a mission and need to meet back up with Kalisto and Alexios.
They finally made it back to the truck and all three got in the front cab, with Rachel in the middle. Driving down the gravel road Jed asked Rachel how she was feeling. “I’m actually feeling a little better, the pain is gone, and my head isn’t hurting right now. I hope it won’t start again.”
“Well, you know if Levi over there isn’t taking care of you, I would be happy to step up and take over.” Knowing that would get under Levi’s skin. Jed knew him too well; he knows Levi doesn’t want to let Rachel go but he wants his cake and eat it too.
Turning his face towards Jed, his lips were pursed thin, and his chin was stiff. “I think I can manage Jed, but thanks for the offer. She doesn’t need you. Anyway, you would be subpar in the bed compared to me.” Levi meant every word of it. For some reason Jed’s comment made him have the feeling of jealousy. He didn’t think that would ever happen to him.
Jed started to laugh, hitting the dashboard with his hand and the other holding his stomach. Rachel just sat their rolling her eyes listening to the two immature men. “Okay, but after me Levi, she wouldn’t want you back.” Laughing even louder Jed was enjoying Levi getting protective of Rachel.
“Fuck off.” Was the only thing Levi said, looking straight ahead he wasn’t even going to give Jed the satisfaction of proving himself that he is far better in the bed to Rachel than Jed would ever be.
“Let’s just get to my house.” Rachel said shaking her head. How did she end up sandwiched between two immature men talking about who is better at sex.
Finally, they pulled up to her house, all three jumped out of the cab of the truck while Jed held his hand out to help Rachel jump out. The truck was pretty high up. “We should knock just to make sure we aren’t interrupting anything. She knocked on the front door three times.
Galinn answered the door, he definitely had bed hair. “Galinn must have got it on.” Jed slapped him on the back of the shoulder as they walked in.
“Hopefully the poison has ran through her and she won’t go into heat again.” As Galinn was mentioning the heat Lenora walked out of the bedroom. “Oh, hi did you get the Alp I hope?” She asked Rachel as she put her arm around Galinn’s muscular bicep.
“Uh, no but Kalisto and Alexios are hunting as we speak.” Levi answered her “Anyway, got anything to eat? We’re starving.” Levi asked anyone who would answer while he walked over to the Fridge. Not waiting for Rachel or Leoma to answer he just opened it up and started taking left overs out.
