Lucian Happiness
Sarah's heart skipped a beat when Lucian threw a question at her. A wave of worry immediately flooded her mind, dragging her into a sea of uncertainty. She held her breath, afraid of Lucian's words. Pushing him further off his intended path. But when Lucian whispered that it was just a joke, a smile of relief crept onto Sarah's face.
However, although Lucian's warm smile and joke managed to ease her nerves, Sarah still felt tense. She moved cautiously, not wanting to show too much of her discomfort. When Lucian's hand touched her shoulder gently, a slight calm flowed through Sarah.
"From now on, you must be with me wherever I go," Lucian said firmly, making Sarah straighten up and look at him seriously. "I won't let you go again. Understood?"
Sarah lowered her gaze, afraid to meet Lucian's eyes. Her heart was racing, searching for the right words to respond.
Lucian pinched Sarah's chin gently, forcing her eyes to meet his. "You've already agreed to be the mother of my child, so I think now is the right time," he said with conviction.
Sarah nodded slowly. Seeing the happiness on Lucian's face, she felt a little relieved. She let Lucian lead her to the bed, although Sarah felt very scared.
Elsewhere, Leo pulled up in front of a luxury villa. As the car door opened, he gently helped Hazel out. Hazel's curious gaze immediately drifted towards Leo.
"Leo, what happened?" she asked, her voice filled with anxiety.
"Let's go inside first," Leo replied as he took Hazel's hand, leading her into the villa. He sat Hazel down and offered her a glass of water to calm her down before telling her what had happened.
Hazel gulped down the water with a heavy sigh, her hands trembling as she stared intently at Leo. "Now, explain everything," she urged in a voice full of emotion.
Leo let out a deep sigh before beginning his explanation. "The door was already open when I arrived at your house earlier. Someone had forced it open. And Sarah wasn't there. I looked everywhere, but there was no sign of her."
Hazel looked at Leo with a mixture of confusion and overwhelming anger. "Why are you only telling me now?" she asked, her voice filled with deep disbelief.
Leo felt the weight of Hazel's gaze and took a deep breath before answering, "I wanted to make sure of everything before telling you. But I realize now that it probably wasn't wise."
Hazel nodded, but the look on her face still showed the tension she couldn't hide. "I feel like I can't rely on you to look after Sarah," she complained.
Leo listened with rapt attention, realizing he had lost Hazel's trust. "I'm sorry. I know I let you down. But right now, your safety is more important! I don't want you to get hurt."
However, Hazel couldn't contain her frustration. "But what about Sarah? I want to go back home and find Sarah myself."
Leo shook his head firmly. "That's too dangerous, Hazel. We don't know what's happening, and I won't let you run that risk."
Hazel looked at Leo with fiery eyes. "I don't care about any risks! I have to find Sarah."
Leo stepped closer to her, trying to calm her down cautiously. "Hazel, you have to listen to me. We don't know who we're fighting. I'm sure the person looking for Sarah is a serious threat."
"Then, what should I do? Stay here?" asked Hazel in a tone filled with dissatisfaction.
Leo thought about his answer carefully before saying, "If you want to know about Sarah, ask Daniel. Maybe he has information that can help us."
Hazel took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down amid the chaos. "But don't accuse Daniel. He's my best friend," she sighed in a voice filled with doubt.
Leo shook his head firmly, his eyes searching Hazel's gaze to convey his conviction. "Hazel, you have to realize Daniel was involved in Sarah's kidnapping. He was also the one who knocked you out. Did he give you that drink earlier?"
Hazel dismissed Leo's every word; her desire to believe Daniel was so strong. "No way, Leo. Daniel has been good to me all this time," she said in a voice almost filled with denial.
Leo nodded, but his expression remained firm. "Think about it, Hazel. Are you one of those women who faints easily for no apparent reason?"
Hazel pondered momentarily before answering, "Lately, I've been feeling weak. Maybe I'm just sick."
Leo took a deep breath, frustrated by Hazel's disbelief in the truth he had revealed. However, he also felt concerned at Hazel's growing confusion and vulnerability. "Hazel, I just want you to stay alert. We have to find out the truth, even if it hurts."
Hazel nodded, albeit hesitantly. "I know, Leo. I don't want to believe that Daniel could do something like that."
Leo affectionately put his arm around Hazel, trying to give her the support she needed, "Maybe it's just hard for you to believe it now. I'll set him up so that you can trust me completely!"
Hearing that, Hazel felt relieved. On the other hand, Sarah felt restless in the quiet room. She sat on the sofa, frequently drifting to Lucian, standing tall in front of the balcony window.
"Do you have any news from Hazel, Lucian?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
Lucian looked at her with a mysterious smile on his face. "Calm down, Sarah. You'll hear from her tomorrow."
"But, can't you tell me now?" Sarah pleaded her curiosity and anxiety mounting.
However, Lucian only shook his head firmly. "I told you tomorrow."
Sarah felt disappointed but also helpless in the face of Lucian's presence, who commanded the room with his powerful presence.
"Mr. Lucian, please forgive me if I seem hasty. I just wanted to find out how Hazel was doing," Sarah said in a low voice, pleading for understanding.
However, her eyes were glued to the piercing glare of Lucian's eyes that seemed to sense every tremor of her emotions. She could only bow her head again, waiting for tomorrow to arrive.
The next day, Leo asked Hazel to contact Daniel, "Ask Daniel where he is now," he pleaded worriedly.
"Alright," Hazel replied as she picked up her cell phone. In her heart, she hoped to find a trace of Sarah when she contacted Daniel.
After a few seconds of waiting, Hazel sighed, "No contact," she said with a hint of disappointment.
Leo muttered in frustration, "I told you she's involved!"
Hazel felt tense, "Should we go to his house now?" she asked hesitantly.
Leo shook his head quickly, "No. That's not a good idea at the moment. I'm afraid that the person who took Sarah away is at Daniel's house and will kidnap you too," he explained in a serious voice, showing deep concern.
Sarah moved closer to the balcony. Enjoying the beautiful view. Suddenly, a hand pushed her.
