Chapter 77 He is not just a dragon, he is the god in the sky
Ezra landed near Esperanza, while Orion was still up in the sky in his human form, and Ezra wanted to see what he was up to.
He glanced at her teary eyes, he felt his soul withering but still he had to stand strong to guard her from her enemy whom she thought was her protector.
He opened his wings and flew above her head, stopping in the bright sky, where he empowered the sun. Suddenly, he heard that the air crackled with an unseen energy.
He peeked his eyes on Orion, and suddenly a searing pain lanced through Orion's veins.
His skin felt as though it was being stretched and torn from within، a gasp escaped his lips as dark leathery scales erupted from his forearm, spreading like a living encroaching shadow, his fingers elongated, twisting into sharpened talons.
Ezra watched him in horror as black, feathered wings, vast and powerful tore through his back, unfurling the sound of ripping canvas.
His vision blurred, the world around him becoming the symphony of raw power, his bones groaned, his spine extending into a long, sinuous tail that lashed behind him, the voice changed from the human roar into a ferocious one.
The luminous spectral dragon, shimmering with electric blue energy, manifested behind her, mirroring her anguish and his growing power, but the skeptical thibg was he was not completely tranformed into a whole dragon, he was in his human form as well, the skin, the born the horns, the scales were visual, but the body was still embracing the sense of human, it seems to be that he can control his transformation.
His aura was transcendent, his eyes were obscure, the air was moving on his command, and the whole ground was revealing his alchemy of extreme power.
Every dragon nearby stopped mid-air, shaken by Orion’s Great Strength. As he rose, the sky and the wind bowed to his will.
He opened his dark, empty eyes, and a huge blast of power shot out from them.
The energy hit the air like a hammer. It was so strong that it pushed the clouds away and forced the other dragons to back up in fear. The ground below cracked as his power shook the earth.
He wasn't just a dragon anymore; he was a god in the sky.
"What is that?" Ezra gasped.
His eyes were wide as he watched the terrifying sight. Above him, Orion was caught between two worlds no longer just a man, but not yet a full dragon. Scales covered his skin, and his huge, dark wings beat against the air.
Ezra had never seen anything like this in his life. He felt like he was being crushed. The heavy power coming from Orion was so strong that Ezra had to grab onto a nearby rock just to stay on his feet. The air was thick with energy, making it hard to even breathe.
"You can never imagine this," Orion said. His voice was a deep, human roar that shook the mountains.
Up on the peak, his throne caught the sun, shining like a mirror. But as his power grew, the sky began to change. The bright clouds turned dark, heavy with a coming storm.
The huge surge of energy didn't just stay in his body anymore it started to spread into the air, soaking into everything around him. The very wind felt alive with his strength.
"I can tear you apart with one snap of my fingers," Orion said.
He flexed his scaled arm, the muscles bulging under his new skin. Then, he snapped his thumb.
The sound wasn't like a normal snap. It cracked through the air like a bolt of lightning. The force of it sent a shockwave hitting the ground, knocking stones loose, and making the very air tremble.
She was so shocked she couldn't even speak.
Her mind was fighting between what she knew and what she saw.
She is struggling to decide if she should brace the man she knew or prepare herself for the monster he has become.
"Let's see, how it turn," Ezra took out with a snare.
Orion, now a powerful half-human, half-dragon, hovered in the center of a glowing blue circle. His wings were wide, and his hands crackled with electric blue energy. He looked like a god of the storm, ready to strike.
High above him, Ezra, who was fully transformed into a dragon loomed in the dark clouds. He was massive, with scales as black as night and eyes that glowed like hot coals. With a deafening roar, the great beast opened its jaws and unleashed a torrent of orange fire straight at Orion.
Orion swung his scaled arms at Ezra, his claws were leaving glowing trails in the air, and each move felt like a thunderclap pushing Ezra's shield.
Ezra didn't flinch. Just as the bolt was about to hit, he flipped his wrist and let the snare fly. The magical rope uncoiled like a snake, glowing bright white against the dark mountains. It didn't just catch Orion’s leg it caught the lightning itself, absorbing the spark and whipping it back toward the half-dragon.
Orion let out a human-like roar, his eyes burning with fury. He was stronger, but Ezra was faster. The battle was no longer just about power it was a game of cat and mouse in the middle of a storm.
