Chapter 38 But he has been broken
Ezra got outside, and his servants closed the door. There was a pool in his eyes that was not releasing that the girl of his dreams was someone else's reality.
He looked up and saw his father standing there in his majestic aura.
" Have you heard everything?" Exea asked, and he nodded.
"I never thought you were going to be so sensitive about a girl," Wayne let out and Ezra cleaned his eyes.
"That's a good thing to develop emotions, but you need to figure out the reliance of that person," Wayne said.
"I do not know, but I love her; she is becoming my weakness." Ezra was wiping her tears, but they were not stopping.
"Let me talk to her, and find out about her," Wayne said.
"Do not hurt her, please," Ezra requested, and Wayne was broken to see his child helpless.
" I would never, " Wayne said. " That which is precious for you is also valuable for me."
"I... I need to go," Ezra's tears got out of control, and he ran away, his father was shattered to see his smashed emotions.
The troops opened the door for Wayne, and he walked in. Esperanza was oblivious to his presence, looking outside the balcony while having a burden on her heart.
"Why am I feeling so broken? I feel I have to vanquish everything," she let out in a low voice, and Wayne felt her heart was overwhelmed by the emotions.
"Maybe he is not wrong, I was the one who did not tell him at the right time," Esperanza was putting everything on herself.
"But the blame is not yours," Wayne said and Esperanza turned around in horror.
She found him wearing highly ornamental and royal clothes. She suddenly bowed to him because she knew he had something.
"So you have manners," Wayne smirked, and she did not dare to look up.
" I... I am sorry, I did not recognize you," she let out and Wayne smiled.
"I am the great king of the Drakon Kingdom, King Wayne". She heard that name and suddenly got to her knees.
Esperanza has heard that name numerous times.
" King Wayne...," she whispered. She remembered that her father used to tell her those stories where King Wayne killed the enemies of the Drakon world and protected all the species from the doom of traitors.
Abruptly, she got on her knees and looked down, not daring to make any presumption in his honor.
King Wayne, she whispered while gazing down.
" You do not need to do this stand-up," Wayne commanded. First, she hesitated, and Wayne predicted her averseness and nodded to confirm.
She got on her feet, and Wayne walked towards her. He changed the direction and stood on the balcony.
"You do not seem human to me," Wayne said. She was perplexed because she thought that King Wayne hated her.
"At first, I was adversely reacting, but then I first saw your face, the royalty was emanating from it," Wayne said, and Esperanza started to feel comfortable with him.
" But now I am veracious about your identity, and it's unambiguous now to me," Wayne said.
"What is unambiguous?" She was flustered and with great fear she asked.
" Your reality, I know who you are," Wayne said and her ground trembled.
"But you do not need to be afraid of me, I am the king of the Drakon World, and I would never shackle you or cage you into the big walls of this castle," He said, and she gasped in calm.
"That human, Emerson," he knew about everything.
" He was able to reach the Arctic flaming descend, which is impossible for any creature in this world, just because the Golden Dragon wants that call," Wayne said, and her heart skipped a beat.
"No one ever is that tremendous to reach that Arctic flaming descend because that place is highly sacred, but he did because the golden dragon has been chosen by him,"
" To give him the closest thing to his heart, to the pure-hearted human, who is going to take care of his precious baby," Wayne said, and Esperanza was curious to know more.
" Why are you not shackling me! She asked curiously," he heard and smirked.
"The tradition should be done like this, I should shavkle you because there are people who never wanted you to live, they want to take your power and use it to destroy us," Wayne said.
"So I should be shackled," Espera said.
" You should be but I cannot," Wayne replied in dejection.
"I am being selfish for my son, this time I am letting you do anything that you want, just because my son wanted to be with you, and if he found you shackled or caged in this castle then his heart will be broken," Wayne said and Esperanza felt terrible for letting it out.
"But he has been broken," She replied.
