I don't think I've ever stressed enough on how much I hated elevator rides.
It felt like I was in a box moving in mid air and literally anything could go wrong at any given time.
That wasn't the only thing going on in my head while we moved to the roof stop. The silence that sat between klaus and I was very sickening.
I was counting seconds till the elevator dinged.
The fresh air that hit my face on the roof top was excatly what I needed after the most stressful week ever recorded in history.

It was cold and relaxing. I felt like I should just spread my arms and legit fly.
The view was another amazing thing. It was now I realised how contradicting the insides of the hospital was compared to the outside.
It was bright. Lights everywhere, no beeping of machines rather there was happy music playing about.
Out here looked alive.
We carefully walked over to the edge and sat there quietly overlooking the city lights.
I took a long deep breath and smiled.
For a while we just sat in silence and that alone was perfect.
Then--
"Tessa I don't think this will work " he said
I turned to look at him immediately.
Nicholas Hayes you better not be breaking up with me while my best friend just survived a life threatening accident.
"What?"
"You know the reason charlotte and ethan broke up right?" He started and I nodded "we might have to do the same for the same reason"
"No fucking way" I cut in sharply "whatever they put in you coffee to make you overthink this, they better find an antidote because I am not letting you go"
"Tessa you're going to be a flight away"
"And when has a flight stopped you"
"I need to figure out what I want with my life I can't keep leeching off you all because I love you"
I held both his hands "whatever it is we will figure it out together, okay"
He nodded
"But I want to know you want this"
"I do"
"It comes with doubts"
"I'm ready for it"
He pressed a kiss on my lips and I kissed back.
We hadn't kissed like this since I left for MSA and even now it felt rushed because we couldn't possibly be care free when maya was there.
"I love you" He said
"I love you more"
We spent the night on the roof top and no nothing happened.it was not the time not place.
The next day, maya forced me to go home with the excuse of me stinking and needing a bath
You and I both know she only wanted me to rest a bit.
Klaus insisted on driving me home. I mean he also needed a bath.
The music playing over the radio wasn't really loud as we drove.
"Do you and Jay still talk?" Klaus popped the weird question out of the blue.
I chuckled "what?!!" I almost choked "what the hell have you been thinking these past hours.
I could barely control my laughter.
"I saw you laughing about something on your phone earlier this morning and I thought-"
He paused looking at my clearly moving face
He sighed "never mind"
"Oh come on klaus, I love seeing you like this" I said.
He made a sharp turn and parked the car to the side.
"Whoa, don't tell me you're already pissed"
He lowered his voice "You've been having a great deal of fun making me jealous since MSA"
"I'm not doing it because I want to, it just happens"
"It drives me crazy!!" He barked
"And what do you expect me to do about it!!" I shot back "get a tattoo"
"That could work"
"You're crazy" I scoffed
He leaned in "crazy for you"
Damn. What did he think he was doing.
"And I should be the only one capable and authorised to make your cheeks red like that" he pressed his lips on mine and started the car again.
I do not know if klaus has been watching a lot or romance movies or k drama or literally anything but whatever he was doing, he shouldn't think of stopping.
When we arrived at house, my mom jumped on me like I was her long lost prodigal daughter that returned home after exhausting my birth right.
Yeah I know the stories.
She hugged klaus too and insisted that he came In.
She didn't allow me to take my stuff to the room before she started talking.
"I did some baking and made these amazing cookies" she said packing some in a plate "you should takes these to maya, I'm very sure hospital food tastes like ass"
I agreed.
"I was devastated when I heard the news, you know I love maya so much" she continued moving here and there.
I nodded and stole a cookie
She hit my hand with a spoon "wash your hands first"
I shrugged
"These taste good" I said and proceeded to feeding klaus a bite. He agreed on the taste too.
Only my mom does it the way she does.
"Now I do have to go to work but I want to make sure I have everything properly packed for maya so when you're done you'll just take it to her"
She finished packing the bags
"Klaus make sure she doesn't stay too long before returning to maya" she ordered
Geez she didn't even ask about my audition. That didn't matter now because maya wasn't well.
Mom had always been a great mother figure in maya's life and I really appreciated that.
"Let me give you some guys clothes so you can freshen up here and leave quickly"
Klaus agreed and followed my mom
I love my mom and you should too.
I abandoned klaus and went upstairs to have a cool shower.
The way the water touched my skin reminded me of the cool breeze of last night.
I stepped out of my bathroom with a towel wrapped around my chest.
"Damn you look hot"
