Chapter 16: Weekend Schedule

Kyle watched in awe as Liam collected Lucia's bags from her hands before turning towards Mr Williams.

" Mr Williams " Liam called

" Yes boss " Mr Williams replies and moved closer to Liam

" Go and prepare a room for her to stay and drop these things there " Liam gave orders to Mr Williams and shoved Lucia's bags into his hands.

" Yes Sir " Mr Williams said and left

A bothersome silence reigned over the both of them as they both looked at each other, Lucia could see the doubt in Liam's blazing blue eyes as his gaze intensified, a smile crept onto her face unknowingly. She was about to say something when Kyle interrupted them.

" Sorry to interrupt but I have to go " Kyle said, earning both Lucia and Liam's attention

" But I just got here, I thought we could talk, " Lucia said creasing her brows, Liam stared at her in confusion unable to figure out exactly what Lucia would want to talk about with Kyle.

" We have enough time to catch up with each other " Kyle replied and walked towards the passageway where they both stood in front of.

" But for now, I wish you both a happy living together " Kyle said, smirking and walked past them living the both of them alone in the living room.

" What discussion do you have with Kyle? " Liam asked, disrupting the silence that had almost ensued between them.

" Why are you so interested in knowing? " Lucia teased, thinking he would drop the matter but to her surprise he replied.

" It's weird to me, to see someone as reserved as Kyle talk with someone like yourself " Liam replied crudely

" But it isn't weird for someone like yourself to be having this conversation with someone like myself huh? '' Lucia retorted and Liam scoffed.

A painting on the floor suddenly caught Liam's attention.

" Is that yours? " Liam asked pointing to the painting lying on the wall, making Lucia turn back

" Yes it's mine " Lucia replied, racing to pick it up.

" Keep your paintings properly, it's very delicate " Liam said

" Miss Camden, I've prepared a room for you, follow me " Mr Williams said as he walked into the room.

" Oh... Thank you " Lucia smiled

" Let me take this for you, Miss Camden " Mr Williams said taking the painting from her hand

" Thank you and please call me Lucia, " Lucia replied, still smiling.

" Lucia... Follow me " Mr Williams said

Mr Williams led Lucia upstairs and Liam trailed behind them both.

" This is your new room, " Mr Williams said, stopping before a door.

" Wait a minute... Why is it next to my room? " Liam asked with a frown on his face.

" I think it's better, that way she doesn't feel lonely... " Mr Williams replied.

" Don't you agree? " Mr Williams asked

" Whatever " Liam muttered and walked into his own room.

" He has quite an attitude doesn't he? " Mr Williams asked and Lucia let out a chuckle

" Yes he does " Lucia replied

" Come on in " Mr Williams said, opening the door for her to come in

Lucia gasped at the sight of the room, its beautiful white walls stole her attention the moment she walked in and and a lone sunset painting stole her heart.

" I know it might not be perfect but please bear with it, if there's something you want let me know " Mr Williams said as he watched her go close to the painting.

" This painting... " Lucia said in a whisper as she touched the painting hanging on the wall.

" Oh... It's a replica of the painting in the living room. I noticed how much you like that painting right from the first day you entered the villa, so I got a replica for you... I'll hang this beside it " Mr Williams said and hung the painting in his hand on the wall close to the sunset painting.

" It's a beautiful painting you've got here, I take it that you're the cub " Mr Williams smiled as he turned to look at Lucia who in turn looked at him.

" Probably " Lucia chuckled lightly.

" I'll take your leave now, get some sleep " Mr Williams said and turned towards the door

" Goodnight Mr Williams " Lucia said politely as his hand touched the door knob

" Goodnight Lucia " Mr Williams replied and twisted the knob, leading himself out of the room.

Lucia plopped herself down on the bouncy queen sized bed, she stared at the empty ceiling as a million thoughts ran through her mind.

" So behind this wall lies the almighty multi-billionaire Light Henderson... " Lucia muttered, a chuckle following after as she laid on her side facing the wall linking her room to Liam's room.

Her eyes immediately caught sight of the painting Jada gave to her and a sad look approached her face as she remembered everything she had said to Jada.

Flashback

" I'm not moving into your house Jada " Lucia's voice came in a whisper, a frown appeared on Jada's face as she got up from Lucia's bed.

" If you're worried about looking like a gold digger or... " Jada was saying before Lucia cut in

" It's not that Jada " Lucia interrupted

" Then what is it? " Jada asked, confused

" I've gotten somewhere else Jada, I don't want to be a bother to anyone Jada most especially not you " Lucia replied, her voice going up.

" I've told you before, you're not a bother to me. And you went ahead to rent a house without telling me? " Jada questioned

" Even if I told you a million things about me, would you still know me well? " Lucia blasted

" What? "

" Then tell me, where do I work? What time do I get off from work? What's my favorite meal huh? Do you know any of these things? " Lucia fumed, as much as she wanted not to hurt Jada like this, she saw no other way.

" You never told me any of these things " Jada retorted with a loud voice

" Well guess what? You never asked " Lucia talked back, also shouting.

" I just wanted someone to stay with me " Jada scoffed

" Well you can't always get whatever you want " Lucia's voice came out in a whisper.

" I got you this painting so you could hang it on the wall in your new room, happy moving day " Jada said angrily walking out of Lucia's house.

Lucia turned to look at the painting Jada got her.

" I must be the mother lion " Lucia muttered to herself

End of flashback

Lucia sighed deeply, and laid on her back facing the ceiling once more.

" On the bright side, she didn't ask where I was moving to, " Lucia said, trying to make herself feel less than shit.

" I shouldn't have said all that " Lucia kept talking to herself

" Should I call her and apologize... No I shouldn't... Maybe I should... " Lucia kept contemplating on whether or not she should call Jada until she drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, Lucia strodded downstairs, ready and dressed up for work, she was surprised to see Liam already at the dining table.

" Miss Lucia... Do join us for breakfast " Mr Williams smiled and Lucia complied

" Good morning Mr Williams... " Lucia greeted as she sat opposite to Liam

" Better morning Mr Henderson " Lucia smirked but Liam ignored her greetings

" After work today, Mr Williams will brief you on your schedule for this weekend " Liam said without looking at her face

" Schedule? " Lucia askes confused
