Chapter 289
Chapter 289
Honestly, I didn't hate Nadia, really didn't. I didn't even mind her pursuing Henry.
In fact, I sincerely hoped she could successfully attract his attention. If she won his heart, I could finally escape his entanglement and never have to see this man again.
But watching her flirt so shamelessly with him during working hours—right in front of me—was completely unprofessional and crossed a line.
What kind of healthcare worker abandons their professional ethics to show off their body and try to seduce a patient during working hours? It was utterly inappropriate.
"He has germaphobia," I repeated more firmly, staring directly at Nadia's eyes. "Mr. Henry cannot tolerate being touched by people he doesn't like."
Her behavior wasn't just embarrassing—it damaged the reputation of all healthcare professionals.
The head nurse looked back and forth between us, clearly trying to piece together what had happened.
Nadia seemed completely unfazed by my criticism. She shrugged casually, as if we were discussing something trivial.
"Dr. Wilson, why are you making such a big deal out of this?" she asked with feigned innocence. "I'm just trying to solve your big problem. Don't you want me to take him off your hands?"
I stared at her in disbelief. She knew perfectly well how desperately I wanted to avoid Henry, how much I wanted to escape him. But that wasn't an excuse for her to seduce a patient during her shift!
"Dr. Wilson," she continued, her voice filled with fake concern, "I know you don't like him. I'm trying to help solve your problem! You don't have to thank me, but why criticize me? Doesn't your conscience bother you?"
Nadia had come prepared. Before entering the room, she had readied a colorless, odorless aphrodisiac.
Her plan was simple: drug Henry and sleep with him while the drug took effect!
But when Henry violently swept the medical equipment to the floor, he knocked her hand away just as she was about to spray him. The sudden motion forced her to withdraw her hand and change direction.
As a result, the spray drifted toward Sophia.
Being odorless and colorless, I hadn't noticed anything unusual.
"This is work time," I snapped, fed up with her shameless behavior. "Save your disgusting schemes for after hours!"
I truly couldn't understand how someone like her had become Dr. Perez's assistant.
How had a medical professional who only had eyes for men even passed her exams?
The head nurse called for cleaning staff to handle the broken equipment. Seeing the argument escalating between Nadia and me, she summoned Dr. Perez.
When Violet arrived and heard what had happened, she didn't hesitate. She pulled Nadia aside, and even from inside the room, we could hear her stern reprimand echoing down the hallway.
With everyone else gone, only Henry and I remained in the room.
That's when I started to notice something was wrong.
My body felt like it was submerged in boiling water—hot and burning all over. An uncontrollable heat was coursing through me, and worst of all, my limbs had turned to jelly. I could barely stand.
If Henry hadn't quickly reached out to steady me, I would have collapsed to the floor.
The emptiness inside me became unbearable, and I desperately needed something—anything—to fill it.
When Henry's arm wrapped around my waist to support me, I instinctively pressed closer, raising my arms to encircle his trim waist.
Meanwhile, Henry was dealing with his anger toward Nadia. He pulled out his phone and sent a message directly to the hospital director, demanding Nadia's immediate dismissal for her inappropriate behavior.
The director responded quickly, assuring him the matter would be handled.
Only after dealing with Nadia did Henry fully notice my unstable condition. As I started to slide downward, he caught me in his arms, immediately feeling the intense heat radiating from my body even through my clothing.
"Are you running a fever?" He freed one hand to reach for my forehead.
In that moment, I wrapped my arms around his waist.
Henry was a normal man who had been celibate for months—my embrace instantly set his blood on fire.
We were both adults. The meaning behind my gesture was unmistakable.
I still had a sliver of rationality left, and when I realized what I was doing, I forced myself to let go. But without his support, I immediately fell forward against his chest again.
"I've been drugged," I managed to say with my last bit of clarity before losing control completely.
I kept nuzzling against him, unable to stop myself.
Henry quickly realized what had happened. The woman who usually couldn't stand to be near him was now clinging to his shirt, licking his chest like a puppy.
As a normal man who had been celibate for months, this kind of temptation was almost impossible to resist.
Holding me in his arms, he carried me to the door and locked it. I had already unbuttoned his shirt completely. My red lips occasionally kissed his chest, leaving it wet with saliva.
"Give it to me! I want it! Don't you dare run away!" I demanded.
Two voices battled in Henry's mind. One warned: "Henry, you can't take advantage of her!" The other argued: "Man, when a woman throws herself at you, you should accept the gift!"
Henry looked down at me against his chest, his expression mixing surprise, joy, and fear.
He was happy to see me being proactive for once.
He was surprised at my strength—his hand had been on his belt to prevent me from unbuckling it, but I overpowered him and pried his hand away.
He was also afraid that when I regained my senses, I would blame him.
While he was trying to figure out how to stop me, my hands had already pulled down his pants and belt. My delicate white hand reached up to hook around his neck.
Henry was much taller than me—even on tiptoe, I couldn't reach his lips. Watching my determined efforts, he smirked slightly before finally bending down to let me kiss him.
At this point, if Henry had pressed the call button above the bed, medical staff would have come in and taken me away for treatment.
None of what followed would have happened.
If he didn't want me to hate him, that's what he should have done.
But would he regret it? Henry asked himself as he looked at the soft woman in his arms.
Finally, desire overcame reason. He didn't give me another chance to continue my frantic movements—he carried me to the hospital bed and pressed me down beneath him.
Outside, spring sunshine was brilliant, flowers in full bloom.
My soft moans escaped through the window crack, sounding to passersby like a cat in heat.
