Chapter 211 A war for you
Chapter 211 A war for you
The sight of Finn and the dragon kissing was arousing to the point of ache. I balled my fist to stop myself from reaching down between my legs. Hale’s erection pressed hotly to my hip, his breaths becoming more shallow.
Still, just like that day when I watched them kiss in the garden, my heart squeezed in jealousy.
I hated how much I loved it.
There was restraint in the way Mordaine held Finn, kissed him. As if he was trying hard not to ruin something he treasured. But Finn was greedy for him, wanting to do the exact opposite, plunder a treasure he finally found.
And the leash broke. The dragon yanked him closer, a firm hand behind his head, his lips crushing and grinding down on Finn’s. Finn groaned, pressing closer till that large cock was crushed between them.
My thighs shivered.
“There…” Hale breathed in my neck, his velvet voice coaxing like the devil’s whisper. His hand brushed up from my side, those magic fingers dancing towards my navel. I whimpered.
“Shhh,” he pressed his lips to my earlobe. “I know. They turn me on too.” His fingers were lighting up a trail of fire on my skin now, heading down my happy trail.
“Hale, please.” I grabbed his elbow, my hips jerking up once. Those fingers. They made me want to scream.
“Please what, fairy.” His hand made a diversion, skirting around my pussy. I groaned, needing, aching for him inside me.
“I need you.”
I had long since stopped breathing through my nose, having my mouth work for air instead. This thing his fingers did to me, lighting me on fire with the lightest touch. Driving a thousand jolts of current through me just with the balls of his fingers. Unraveling my nerves till I begged for relief that only he could give. It was torture.
“What do you need me for?” His free hand clutched my breast and squeezed. I moaned loudly, and only then realized we had an attentive audience at this point.
But I was in too much torment to care. Hale was moving those magic fingers up my inner thigh, twirling even more warm fingers around my nipple with a feather-light touch. Touching, teasing, stroking till a frustrated scream was at the very top of my throat.
“Say the word, my fairy. What do you need?”
“You,” I panted, “You all.”
He pulled back. I collapsed against the bed.
Our eyes met and he smiled. Then he turned his head, and I followed his gaze to find the men watching me. Mordaine with a look of proud ownership. Finn with control that was hanging by a thread.
“See how eager she can be,” the mayor grinned, and I remembered this had been for Finn’s pleasure. “Wet too,” Hale clutched my thigh, pulling my legs further apart. He was like a merchant, displaying his goods before a speculative customer. “Warm and wet when you sink in her pussy.”
“Gods,” Finn cursed, looking away. My walls twitched as my cheeks turned hot.
A pulse started to beat on Mordaine’s temple, and when I lowered my gaze, his pants had formed a tent around his erection.
“Words, words,” he turned toward the seating area. “Words are all I’ve heard from you, Finn. You’ll kill for her, die for her, start a war in her name.” He stopped by the wooden tray and turned in our direction again. “I need to be certain, however, that you can make my wife feel good.”
Finn took two steps in his direction. “I can. You know I can.”
Mordaine shrugged. “Hale knows, you have been together. I had no evidence to work with here.”
Silence hung in the room, and my chest rose and fell to the cool air whispering between my legs, licking at the heat Hale left there till I bit my lip hard. But I did not dare shut my legs, the dragon could easily make me the subject tonight instead of Finn.
Then Finn spoke, the last words I ever thought I would hear from a man like him, “Please.”
The dragon’s eye burned low, and for a second his emotions were naked. Pain, jealous rage of over two hundred years.
I suspected then that, at that moment, he could not see Finn. He saw Julien, the royal guard who stole his wife’s heart. He saw the Syrian man on his horse I still had no information about. He saw the German manager, who had died, holding his wife. This plea from Finn was a healing balm to a centuries-long wound.
But it was a flash. His face turned neutral again.
He covered the distance between them and cupped his neck gently. “And me, what are you willing to do for me?”
Finn dropped to his knees.
I inhaled sharply as he leaned down, and pressed his lips to the dragon’s feet. Without question, this was my soulmate. This Mordaine-virus plagued us both.
This desire to please him, to grovel. But like soulmates, there was a difference. Where I had never fought this desire, Finn did. He resented the desire, and then the man who stirred up those desires in him. He lashed out often so he would not be tempted to fall at his feet.
At least this was my theory. Especially after seeing how he reacted in the kitchen months ago to this topic.
The dragon, effortlessly arrogant, drew the moment out. He ordered Finn to hold the position, as he stared down at him with dark satisfaction. Finally, he lifted his head and stared right at Hale who was still stretched out beside me.
It was a silent exchange between them that I did not understand, and Hale moved from the bed. In a few quick strides, he was standing behind Finn, and then he dropped to a squat.
“You remember your safe word?” The dragon extended his hand, and the leather strips of the flogger brushed across Finn’s hair.
“Nymphaea.” Finn gasped, a sucking sound like he was drowning. From this angle, it was unclear what Hale was doing to him, squatting behind him like that.
My guess, based on our history, and Hale's naughty, mischievous personality, was that he had his balls in his hand, or his hand between his ass cheek. Or worse, both.
“Ma Royne is lonely.”
I blinked up to find the dragon's eyes pinned on me. My cheeks heated. In his eyes, I saw the question, he needed to know I was okay.
I gave him a nod.
Then he spoke in my head, Are you enjoying this, sweetheart?
Yes.
Keep those legs open, you will enjoy this more.
I swallowed hard, parting my legs further.
“Let him go, Mon amour. He’s about to blow his load.”
Hale rose to his feet, chuckling in enjoyment. He grabbed one of the cold towels, and turned to Mordaine. They started to whisper between themselves as the mayor stroked his fingers elegantly with the towel.
I strained my ear. French. They were conversing in rapid, archaic French. I searched my memory but could not remember Hale knowing to speak archaic French in my last lifetime.
I knew he had a good grasp on the modern version of the language. He had translated our wedding vows in that cemetery after all. But he sounded like a native now.
He pulled away from Mordaine with a nod at last, set the towel down and picked up the black piece of fabric I had spied on the wooden tray earlier.
Then he asked Finn to straighten up. He paused, as if unable to resist admiring his face. His smile was kind as he cupped Finn’s face.
My attention shifted. Mordaine was slathering the flogger with alcohol. My brows jumped, and I struggled up, balancing on my elbows. From my side vision, I spotted Hale fitting something over Finn’s head.
From one of my ballet acts in my early twenties, I recognized it as fireproof headgear shaped like a ski mask.
Hale stepped back with a sharp inhale. The sound transported me back to our conversation in Korea. This was how Finn looked when they first met. A robber in a ski mask.
The day he fell for a man who he only saw his eyes.
My gaze returned to Finn, those aqua eyes that appeared even more arresting now that everything else was masked. The high cheekbones and tall nose were evident even under the stretch of the mask. The hint of that sharp jawline. The man was outrageously beautiful, even in a mask.
He met my eyes, and my heart stopped. My heart rate slowed, and my muscles relaxed. He did not look away, neither did I.
Despite the months of separation, my soul recognized him. Reached for him. And I allowed myself to hope, hope that I would have the courage to speak. To tell him my plans, and somehow we would both find another solution that would not require me to die by morning.
