Chapter 98 - The Dragon Prince and His Mate

I felt a sigh of relief when Charles open the door. He instantly walked to Laura giving her a hug with a small kiss to her temple.

I looked behind him hoping to see Dexter walking but he wasn't there. Charles must have seen the look on my face.

"He will be right back, he's just escorting our guess out,"

"Who?" Laura asked.

"It's a long story, why don't you two come-on out here when Dexter gets back we will discuss it,"

I get to my feet walking towards the door Charles let Laura walk out first then opens his arm for me I loop my arm on his as he walks out with me. He places his hand on Laura's back he leads us to the sitting area in his office.

Just as I was sitting down the door open I see Dexter walk in he looks over at us. I couldn't help the tear that rolled down my cheek.

Dexter was in front of me in seconds kneeling down he cupped my cheeks.

"Love why are you crying? What's wrong?"

With that I couldn't hold my sobs I broke down wrapping my arms around his neck he placed his around my back pulling me to him. I buried my head in his chest and cried.

I knew he wasn't hurt but the fear I had felt when it all happened and the worry of him not having his dragon to help him along with the thoughts of loosing him it all came crashing down the minute he walked in.

"Love please talk to me," I felt him rubbing my back. I started to take a deep breath slowing my crying down. I leaned back looking at him. He takes his hand wiping my tears that have ran down my face.

"I was just worried and scared, I don't want to loose you," I managed to get out in between small sobs.

"Love look at me,"

He lifts my chin up.

"I'm not going anywhere, And nothing nor anyone will separate us,"

He runs his other hand over my belly while leaning forward to place a small kiss to my lips.

All I did was nod at his words he wrapped his arms around me again pulling me to him I leaned into him taking a deep breath letting the smell of him calm me.

"Jon I would like for Hank to be here as well,"We heard Charles say.

"Yes Sir," Jon says while he walks out the office.

Dexter let go of me I wiped my face sliding back in the chair while Dexter stood up stepping to the side of the chair he reached down grabbing my hand.

"Are you alright dear,"

Laura ask while she sits in the chair next to me.

"Yes I'm okay, I'm not sure why I had the mini break down I'm just a little emotional right now,"

"It's okay, We all get that while being pregnant,"

"I just I'm just over worried with everything that's happened,"

She reaches out and rubs my arm.

"I understand dear, I would feel the same if I was in your place," She offers me a smile I give one back.

The door open Jon and Hank walk in.

"Good now that everyone is here,"

Dad and I explained what was discussed with the Hunter Earl Colton.

"We don't even know where she went," Jon said.

"No but she shouldn't be that hard to track down," Dad spoke.

"Why are we helping again?" It was Hank who asked I know he wasn't a fan of her when we were held captive.

"Because I don't want more blood shed," Dad told him. Hank just bowed knowing not to argue.

"Besides I have a peace treaty with the his father and he has to Honor it,"

"Do we even know where to start?" Jon asked.

"I don't think she went to far from here, she on her own now," I told them.

"Why don't we do some tracking at night we can cover more ground flying at night," Hank offers.

"I agree with him," Jon says.

"I don't know, Dexter dragon is still dormant, we need to stay together," Dad says as he looks to me.

"I can awaken his dragon," We all look down at Max. I know what she's gonna say she keeps wanting to mark me but I'm worried what happen last time will happen again. Yes I want my dragon back I'm just not sure about the marking again.

"How?" I hear Jon ask her.

Great now he will be all on her side for this.

"I need to mark him,"

"But didn't you guys do the marking before?" Hank asked looking alittle confused.

"Yes, But that was just him marking me I need to mark him it will wake his dragon,"

"You know this how?" Jon asked with raised eyebrows.

"It's a lot to explain, but short story is I was told by my mom in my dream,"

"Dexter if she can do that why don't you let her!" Jon all but yelled at me.

I just let out a small grumble rubbing my temples.

"Dexter, Hunnie what's wrong?" I heard my mother voice.

I opened my eyes looking to my mom.

"I don't want to risk anything like before, Look what happened,"

I felt Max tense up.

"We didn't know all that would happen but we definitely need you to get your dragon back," Dad says to me.

"Dexter," I hear her small voice next to me I look down to her seeing her eyes fill with tears again I hate seeing her cry.

"Please Dexter, "

I reach down kissing her forehead I wrap a arm around her shoulders she slides her arms around my waist leaning her head against me.

"Alright, but first we need to finish planning on how we are gonna find her,"

I swear I could hear everyone let out a breathe they were holding.

"Love why don't you go up to our room and rest I'll be up in a few minutes,"

"I'll walk you dear," Mom stands coming to Max.

She nods I help her up. She kisses my cheek her and mom loop arms they walk out the office.

I feel a hand on my shoulder I look over to see dad standing.

"You made the right choice,"

"Yeah well I'm still not sure, What if something happens again."

"I don't think it will like Max has explained before it's not like when you marked her in dragon form,"

"I know I'm just worried, especially with the guy looking for Brenda and showing up here what happens if we can't find her?"

"We will, when have we not been able to find people?" Dad asked.

He is right we are noted for doing work that most can't do,

"Alright let's get this plan going so I can go take care of my mate,
