Chapter 91 - The Dragon Prince and His Mate

I could feel Dexter nervousness as we walked to the training field. He was so tense walking next to me he held my hand like I was going to leave. I could sense all the guards he had placed around I could t see them but I knew they were there.

Jon was just ahead of us as well as Hank those are the only two that will be near us along with Dr Martin. Dexter had his nurses stay off to the side but close enough in case they were needed.

Reaching the field Dexter walked us out to the middle. I couldn't help but to think back to the first time I was on this field it was the first time Dexter shifted then we were attacked. To think how far we came from that moment from everything that happen up to now standing here that day I would never have thought we would made it to this point.

Dexter stopped walking turning to face me.

"Alright love you ready?"

"Yes,"

Dexter pulls his shirt over his head tossing it to the ground. I step back a bit reaching down I grabbed the bottom of my shirt to pull it up when I hear a low growl. Then I feel hands grabbing mine.

"What you doing there are other men out here! They will see you!"

Looking up at him giving him a smile.

"I didn't want to rip my clothes when I shift back I won't have anything to put back on,"

"I've got that covered Jon has some clothes for you, so please leave them on,"

"Yes dear," I tell him with a smile.

"Alright love I'll shift first wait till I say then you shift, I want to make sure it safe for you first,"

"Okay,"

He kneels down in front of me placing a hand on my belly leaning in he places a soft kiss on it. Looking up at me.

"I love you both I'll be right here next to you the whole time if anything goes wrong please get to Dr Martin right away he's right there with Jon," He points to the right there standing was Jon and Dr Martin. But I didn't see Hank he was just there with us walking down.

"Where's Hank?"

He points up. "Up there,"

Looking up I see Hanks green dragon fly over.

Looking back down to Dexter. "You really have all angles covered don't you?"

"I told you love I'm not taking any chances,"

Bending down giving him a kiss on his forehead.

"Let's get this done so we can save your mom,"

Standing up he turns to walk a distance away from. I hear bones start to pop and crack. I watch as he shift so effortless I love his dragon.

"Just wait," I hear his voice in my head.

He turns his head looking in all directions then looking up I know he's linking Hank.

"Alright it's clear love go ahead and shift,"

Now my shifting isn't as graceful as his but it is better then when I started. I haven't shifted much sense we have been back at the palace so this was gonna hurt alittle.

Focusing on my dragon I let her come forward. I feel my bones start to crack and dislocate feeling face start to become alongated then my legs I can feel myself getting higher my neck stretching forward until I feel I'm completely shifted.

Opening my eyes i see my mate starring at me. He walks over to me even in dragon form he's still so much bigger then me. He leans down taking his nose and nudging me on my neck.

" Your so beautiful love," His voice pops in my head..

"Are you ready love ?" I hear him ask me.

"Yes, Are you gonna bite on my spot that you already marked me?"

"That would probably be the wise move it should complete your mark and unlock what ever powers you have, but remember your mother said this will affect me as well I'm not completely sure what will happen but I want you to be prepared,"

"I understand I'll be ready don't worry we will be fine, All three of us,"

Running his nose along my face he moves down my neck to just about my shoulder where my half of mark is without warning he bit down. Causing me to let out a roar it's hurt so bad more so then when he marked me in human form.

I could feel the blood running down my neck I could feel myself become weak I was feeling like I was floating but instead I was sinking to my knees then down to lay on the ground it was hurting so bed I felt as if I was dieing.

Sudden he let go my eyes where heavy all I could see was him stepping backwards but he was stumbling then he fell to the ground..

"Dexter!" I screamed through the link but nothing he didn't answer he didn't move.

I started to crawl to him I had to get to him.

"Dexter!" I kept calling him I kept moving towards him pushing myself I didn't realize as I was crawling to him I was slowly shifting back by the time I reached him he had shifted back as did I.

"Dexter! No answer me Dexter please,"

"Max! Max!" I could hear Jon's voice calling me but all I could think of was Dexter.

"Max hold still let me cover you," Jon throws something over me.

"Jon he's not moving," I cried out I seen Dr Martin come over kneeling down next to Dexter.

He holds his hand up. " Max it's okay he's just asleep,"

He stands coming to me.

"He rolls me over to my back. placing his hand on my neck I hissed in pain.

"Jon we need to stop this bleeding,"

Suddenly I seen two more people they looked like guards.

"Take him to the hospital get him in a room!" I hear Dr Martin calling out orders.

"Jon we need to get her to the hospital she's bleeding to much!"

"Here let me take her!" I feel some one pick me leaning against them I know it's Jon. I feel him start to run as he holds me tight against me. My eyes are getting heavy I can't keep them open.

"Dexter," I softly whisper.

"Hold Max please just hold on,"

That was the last I hear then everything went black.
