Micah's office was buzzing with the ramblings coming from his men. They were all talking among themselves about the sudden, suprising, but much wanted, return of their leader, Don Micah who was still upstairs in his mother's room to tell her the good news of his sudden return in person.
As he sat beside her with her hand in his his heart ached upon seeing her fragile state of health she was in.
"Im so sorry mama, that i wasn't here for you when you needed me!" He mutterd as an unsuspected tear found its way out of his eye.
"Its okay my dear son, its okay! All that matters to me is that you are back now, safe and sound! So don't you worry, just bring me my favorite food later and maybe if you have time you can also join me eating ok?"
"Okay mama, i will try do my best to not to worry much and i will ask the cook to go and start making preperations for your dinner and then i will bring it to you once its done, but i can't promise you that i'll join jou ok, i don't know if i willbhave the time for it right now, but i'll see when the time comes alright, now please go back to sleep and i will ask doctor Angelo to come over to check up on you alright?"
"Sure honey, sure but please promise me that you will go see him afterwaeds as well, just to make sure you are also okay after what you have been trough ok!"
"If thats makes you happy then i will, i promise, now go rest and we will talk later ok"
"Ok, bye honey"
"Sweet dreams mama" Micah replied one last time after kissing her forehead lovingly.
After one last glance towards his mother who had closed her eyes again, he gently opened her bedroom door and stepped out into the hallway where he walkes over to Scar who was on watch duty tonight for the old Dona.
"Boss!" Scar said while bowing his head slightly out of respect towards his boss.
"Keep an eye on her Scar, the enemies are close and she is all i got left, understood?!" Micah ordered.
"Yes boss, of course!" Scar relied with a nodd towards Micah who then turned and walkes towards the staircase to go down to his study where the rest of his men were waiting for him.
Downstairs he ran into Lucas who just came out of the dungeons with an angry scowel on his face.
"You okay?" Micah asked while both men walked towards his office.
"Ughh! That crazy ass woman! She is getting on my nerves already!" Lucas gritted out between tight lips.
"Sorry, yeah i get you! That is what she does unfortunatly! Well lets go inside and i will explain everithing i know ok!" Micah replied before entering and closing his office door behind him.
"Evening to you all and good to see again!" He greeted his men eagerly.
"I say welcome back boss, on behalf of all of us!" One of the man replied him back as he took his rightfull place at the head of the table again.
"Okay, i know you all must have lots of questions but so do i, so i will tell the short form of my side and then i would like to know what has been going on here in my absence ok?"
"Sure boss, go ahead, Dimitri replied before everybody else.
"Well you have probably already seen or heard about our new "guest" downstairs in the dungeons and if not then i will tell you now. She is the one that kidnapped me, the reason she is here is because she went after me when i was escaping and i still have unfinished busines with her so untill further notice she stays downstairs locked up ij the dungeons. The only ones who will deal with her are myself, Marco and Dimitri and Lucas, this is not because i do not trust the rest of you but simply because i do not trust her, i still don't understand who or what she is besides the fact that i strongly believe that she is not.....not like us....she is different and comes from a place that is extremely the opposit of hours and i am afraid that she can do more harm here since we don't know yet what she is cappable of as in a whole so that is that! If we need somebody else then the names just mantioned then i will ask you myself, understood?" Micah pauzed a moment while looking at all his men.
"Good, now most of you have seen the footage i understand from Dimitri so i will skip that part. I also understand that doctor Angelo knows who she is and where she comes from, even more then myself and he has informed Dimitri and Marco who told you all later right? Good well that saves ne a lot of talking already, nice, well i am good, although tired and hungry but good none the less. About my time in hostage, well i am not going to talk too much about that other then that it was a stressfull, nerve wracking, cold and humiliating experience and want to forget aboit the whole thing as soon as possible, i hope you understand and respect my desicion in that regard! Now, tell me what happened here wgile i was gone?" Michah asked while his gaze landed on Marco who sat beside him.
"Well, since we did not had proper tine to talk since you were back all tell you now. When you were gone, we gotten an unexpexted and unwanted visit from Salvatore at the main gate. He demanded to be let inside so he coukd take over. Somehow he had found out about your dissapearance and we are still looking into that matter Don, so we will get bavk to you on that, for the rest we mananged to stand ground and eventually he went away with the promise that he would come back for what was his, his own words that day and since then we have been putting extra security arround the place, but till noe he has not shown himself again so that is i good i think, on the otherhand though i have just receaved some intell that one of our warehouses have been broken into and a large number of weapons and drugs together with some small amount of money has been stolen and i am suspecting Salvatore to be behind it as ritaliation, that is all we got Don" Marco finished while Micah was bussy digesting all of the new info with an angry scowel on his face.
"So he tried to take something from huh? Probably he is after my throne, well he has to come trough me first to get that one!....Marco i want you to start preparing for a counter attack, nobody steels from Don Micah Santorini, NOBODY!!" He shouted in anger. " You are all dismissed!" He said after that to which all the men got up and started to leave his office one by one softly talking among themselves.
When they had all left except for himself and Marco he sighed while leaning back in his chair with his eyes closed.
"Are you truely okay my friend?" Marco asked slightly worried while looking at Micah's tired face.
"Yes and no my friend, i can not help feeling that something big is gonna happen, something mayor that will change our lifes forever!" He whispered with his eyes now open looking at the ceiling.
"Hmm, lets hope not! We have already enough on our plates as it is! Well take some rest and we will talk later ok!" Marco replied to which Micah only nodded slightly as he was already deep in thought.
Whatever was going to happen in the neae future, his gut tokd him that it had all to do with her, SHE was going to be the cdntre of it all and that frightened him, more then he would ever admit out loud!
