Chapter 73 Off the face of earth
Madison's POV
"She wouldn't know what hit her."
"She's so foolish. She didn't even know people were following her."
"At least, when she's wiped off the face of earth, everything would just go as planned. She wasn't supposed to be alive for this long."
My ear was the first to pick up on the sounds... Sounds of familiar voices.
Then my nose sniffed the air. Urghh! It was terrible. It reeked of toxic chemicals. I could barely breathe.
Then my body felt sore - especially my arms. Then my eyes fluttered open, slowly until it steadied.
"The bitch is finally awake." I gasped, realization hitting me like a crashing wave.
I had been tricked.
No one was to be blamed. I brought it upon my self.
My eyes fell to the ground, studying the distance. I was far apart from the ground. My head snapped up, a heavy bang hitting me. My hands were tied to some kind of machine thing.
"She should count herself lucky or else, she wouldn't have had the time to even blink."
My eyes finally settled on the owners of the voice. A loud gasp left my lips.
Open teeth and full brow.
"Excuse me, what did you just call us?" Open teeth walked forward, eyeing me in disgust.
"Where am I?" I frowned, wriggling my hand. I could feel my shoulder ligaments straining, the fibers tearing as my own body weight betrayed me.
How long have I been up here?
"Well... Feed your eyes." Full Brown pointed at two barrels. I peeked into one - it was filled with green colored paste.
"Watch this." Open teeth threw a wrap of eaten biscuit inside. Right before my eyes, it crumpled, melting into nothing. "Awesome right???"
My mouth parted, horrified. "That's...that's..."
"Acidic chemical. It burns you into a crisp." Full Brown explained further. "And that's water. It's filled with a dangerous substance. If swallowed or inhaled, you die. I heard you can't swim to save your life though."
The door opened, snapping my attention to it. Kat strutted in, holding a gun in her hand.
"So what's it gonna be, Raven?" She mocked, her eyes dark.
"Kat." I spat out scornfully. "What will you gain from all of this? Why do you keep stressing yourself over a man who doesn't love you?"
She frowned, pointing at me. "He's mine! He's just going after you because you're still in the picture."
"I'll get the camera." Full brow said.
"I told you both to strip her bare. I don't want her being covered with any undies. Nothing at all." Kat yelled.
My eyes dropped down to my body, only noticing then that I was on my undies.
Oh God.
They were going to snap me.
"Pose for the camera." Kat instructed. I shook my head, getting my hair to cover my face.
"You think you're smart?" Kat scoffed. She took a bucket of water from the ground, pouring it on my body.
From my head to my toe.
Then she raised the gun, making me gasp. She pulled the trigger, an evil smirk on her face.
My body shook violently, electric jolt surging through me.
Fucking Taser gun.
"Snap!" I could hear her order.
My eyes pricked with tears. My whole body felt numb and incapacitated.
"Beautiful! I'm going to edit it with Artificial intelligence." Kat continued to talk. "How about having you strip for the camera. Like a cam girl."
"Then we'd post it on the internet for everyone to see the kind of person she is." Open teeth said. I could tell their voices.
My mouth was clamped shut, my lips quivering.
"Alessandro wouldn't want anything to do with someone whose nude is everywhere. His so called Fianceé."
It wouldn't make him love you.
That was what I wanted to say but my mouth could barely open.
"If I can't have him, you shouldn't. It's a shame to me that he chose you over me. YOU!" Kat pointed at me, her voice sharp.
"Easy, Boss. Let's handle her already. It's taking so much time."
"No. Not yet." Kat shook her head. "I want to play with her more."
"How?"
Kat walked to me. She motioned at Full brow to do something. Then I felt myself being lowered to the ground. Though my leg still didn't touch the ground completely.
"Have you fucked Alessandro?" Kat asked me, holding my face.
I glared at her, spitting on her face. Like actually spat.
She shrieked, using the taser to hit me on my lips, splitting it into two. I groaned, sucking my lips in.
Tears streamed down my cheek.
"Deal with her." Kat ordered Open teeth, stepping back for her to take over.
"I thought you wouldn't ask." Open teeth smiled widely, like a maniac. She cracked her knuckles, tilting her head to the left and then to the right.
"In your next life, don't cross paths with me. Avoid my business." Kat screamed. "Post it all. Post it everywhere."
While full brow fiddled with her phone, Open teeth delivered series of punch to my stomach.
I wasn't going to beg them to stop.
Her punch grew stronger or maybe I grew weaker... I don't know, but slowly, I felt my soul leaving my body.
The metallic taste of blood filled my mouth, my eyes dropping close. Throaty groans left my lips, hot tears streaming down my cheek.
This was how it ended?
"Enough!"
I could barely understand what was happening. My head felt fuzzy. My vision blurry.
"Raise it up." Kat ordered.
My hand felt like they were ripping apart as my body went up again. I muffled my cries, biting my lips.
"Alessandro will kill all of you. All of you." I managed to choke out, my chest burning harshly.
Kat's wicked laughter filled the air. "Darling, no one is going to find out. No one is also coming to save you."
The second part was true.
It was already too late.
I should've listened to Dina. I shouldn't have turned off my location.
I killed myself.
"Were...were you the one who sent me encrypted messages?"
"Huh? Why would I do that? I waited for the right moment to strike and stupid Madison... You came out alone." Kat scoffed. "Enough chit chat now."
At least I was going to die knowing that Maria wasn't the one who set me up.
I hope she told my mother good things about me.
I hope my mother learnt that I tried to survive.
"Because you were Alessandro's property, I'll give you the last rite to choose. So, A or B. I'm not telling you which barrel is which." Kat said.
"Kat..."
"Shut up." She snapped at whoever called her. "So choose, Madison. Don't worry, it's going to covered as a suicide. Madison killed herself after her nude circulates online."
"Kat, I think...."
"I said shut up, Glory!" Kat yelled harshly at Open Teeth.
Glory.
"A." I answered, glaring at Glory. I wanted my face to be the last thing she saw before I died.
I wanted my face to haunt her.
"Aw. It's such a pity." Kat pouted, nodding at Full brow who was stood in front of a machine, pressing the buttons.
I shut my eyes, not wanting to know where I was going to land. A lone tears left my eyes.
I had made peace with myself and where I found myself.
My only wish was for everybody who hurt me, not to have peace until they died.
Amen.
The thing that clasped my hand together suddenly released it, releasing my body into the air.
A loud cry left my lips.
The last cry.
"Bye, Madison Turner."
