Chapter 38 Stop the ache, Don
Madison's POV
Claudia had gotten under my skin.
I couldn't stop the thoughts.
Alessandro. Marriage. Me?
I was an over-thinker. If you hadn't noticed.
And I hated it sometimes because it can get a little too much.
She wouldn't be trying to discourage me into getting married to Alessandro if he wasn't planning on doing that.
So that dream where I heard Alessandro's voice saying he'd do anything to keep me even if it meant getting married to me, was -
No, this was Alessandro. He wouldn't dare. I mean, wasn't this the same Alessandro who spelt out my position as just a mere pet.
It was impossible.
From what she said, being a Mafia Wife was a punishment on another level.
You literally were in bondage.
Looked like something Alessandro would subject someone to.
What he'd subject me to.
"Urgh!" I rolled on my bed, covering my face with my pillow.
A muffled groan echoed in the room. I brought the pillow down, staring at the new wall clock.
3 AM
My eyes circled around my room, admiring again the little design and new color that had been slapped on the walls.
They didn't look dark anymore. I almost didn't even recognize it when we returned back from our trip until few days ago.
I haven't even had the time to thank Alessandro because he was never around and when he was, he still didn't spare me a few glance.
Made me wonder if I had done anything bad on our trip.
Maybe I should've declined to go out, because that was when it all started.
Probably he blamed me for encountering his archenemy, Russo.
"Probably that." I muttered under my breath, letting out a shaky breath.
The rattling sound of the window made me jerk up. My ears perked up, paying deep attention to the sound.
It was persistent and then a dark reflection appeared behind my curtain.
My heart began to hammer hard in my chest. I carefully stood up, watching as the shadow moved, struggling with the window.
Jero.
Self Defense.
The latter was just another means to achieve the serial killers mission. I didn't know how to fight
I couldn't fight to save my life.
Seeing that I had nothing to defend myself with, I clenched my hand into a fist, pushing them forward.
Like I had seen in movies.
"I see you, dimwit. You'd regret sneaking in here if you dare take another step." I managed to say, my voice quite shaky from the fright that was almost crawling up my head.
The shadow stopped moving, knowing it had been caught.
I had managed to instill fear. Good job, Raven.
Sorry, Madison.
Now, I'm thinking about what Alessandro would've told me? Gosh.
"You'd go the same way you came." I narrowed my eyes at the person, trying to see if I could get a hint as to what the person looked like.
All these while, my legs wouldn't dare move. The were wobbling and stuck to a spot.
Useless shit.
Panic spiked my vein when I saw the hand move to the edge of the curtain.
"I'm warning you!" I yelled, my clenched fist weak already.
I had lost my defensive stance.
Wow, Madison. You're really good at this.
My eyes shot open when it collided with the grimace on his face.
Alessandro, standing in just a simple white shirt and a black suit pant, folded his arms, his eyes not leaving mine.
"That was really all you've got? No weapon, no nothing. Just mouth." He smirked.
A long exhale left my lips as I held my chest in relief.
"You scared me!" I eyed him, taking a seat. "In my defence, I had my fist all ready."
"Show me." He walked towards me, taking a seat on the bed.
"It's a secret." I said, shyly. I had a feeling he'd laugh at me or cuss me out for not knowing how to defend myself.
I wasn't up for that.
"Show me, Raven. I'm curious." He urged, leaning back until his elbow touched the bed, propping him up.
Seeing that I wasn't going to win this, I rolled my eyes in defeat. I raised my hand, clenching it into a fist.
"See?"
His stared at me blankly, his bottom lips folding into his mouth.
"Say it." I groaned, falling to the bed.
He scoffed. "That's terrible, Maddie. Very terrible. You don't lock your thumb under the rest of the fingers cos your end up breaking it when you deliver a blow to your opponent." He schooled. "Your grip looked weak too."
All my life, I had been on the receiving end and not the giving end so I wouldn't know how to fight.
"I'd teach you." He let his back touch the bed.
A small smile crept to my lips as I turned my face to see that he was already staring at me. "You will?"
"If you can endure throughout the lesson." He rolled his eyes. "You don't even fucking have a choice. You must learn."
"I'm willing to learn anything. " I said, holding his dark gaze.
"Anything." He repeated, his eyes slowly darting to my lips.
His hands moved to my face, his thumb grazing my cheek. I snuggled into his touch, enjoying the warmth of his large palm.
"Why did you sneak in when you could use the door?" I asked softly.
"Using the window was thrilling." He rolled to his side, dragging his fingers down to my lips, brushing it lightly.
I parted my lips, breathing softly as I stared at his lips too.
"How.. how did you know I was awake?"
His hand movement paused, his body frozen. I raised my eyebrow at him, waiting.
"I was just more focused on the thrill than if you'd be awake." He shrugged with just one shoulder since the other was pressed to the bed.
"Right." I chuckled, rolling to my side.
We stayed quiet, my eyes on him admiring how casually sweet he looked in plain shirt. I couldn't help but mutter out my honest thought.
"You look simple but handsome still." I chuckled lowly, looking at his chest.
I hadn't seen his chest before. Even the last time I saw him naked, it was just the view of his cock that got me hooked.
That clouded my memory.
On instinct, my eyes dropped down to that spot.
"Raven, my eyes are up here." His breath fanned my face. Slowly, I looked up, a soft gasp leaving my lips when I felt his fingers slip under my dress.
My body jolted, electric shock crashing through me. My nerves had heightened, my nipples tightened under my silk nighties.
"You know, we never got to entertain each other." He hovered over me, my back touching the bed
His eyes hooded. His lips wet as he stared at me hungrily.
"Yeah." I said breathlessly, adjusting myself under him. Heat crawled up from my toes, up to my head.
He supported his body with one elbow, his other hands still stuck under my silk nighties top. Tauntingly, he trailed his hand up my body.
My back arched in response.
My breathing had lost its rhythm. A soft gasp escaped my lips when his fingers found my nipple, rubbing it softly.
"Oh!" I moaned, a shuddered breath leaving my lips.
"You like that, don't you?" He growled lowly, his eyes piercing into mine.
I raised my hands up to where his were, bringing them down to my stomach. I hesitated for a while, my chest heaving up and down.
His eyes darkened, pupils dilated. He looked like he could have me for dinner. Like I was his favourite dish being served in his favourite plate.
"Show me." He whispered, his tone controlling.
He didn't need to complete his words for me to understand what I was supposed to show him.
His eyes told me he knew and craved it too.
On cue, it ached harshly. My body jerked beneath him.
I bit my lips, pushing our hands until they slipped under my silk shorts, right between my lower abdomen and my pussy.
"Down there." I breathed out softly. "Stop the ache, Don."
