Chapter 104 Arranged date

Chapter 104 Arranged date
Madison's POV

I hadn't gotten out of my room in days.

All the food they've brought in for me laid on the floor, untouched.

I stunk badly and I cared less about it.

My nose were blocked from crying too much.

I couldn't even turn my head to the side without a hard, banging ache or pull.

My whole body felt like shit inside.

My eyes were red and puffed.

I was not okay at all.

It was a miracle that I was still breathing.

Numbness was all I felt inside of me. The pain, the hurt, the betrayal...

All, I couldn't feel no more.

I was just there.

Sitting in the dark, by the farthest end.

Alessandro had broken me beyond repair.

My eyes lazily dragged to the door, boring into the eyes of the maid who was standing. I didn't miss the way she crunched her nose before forcing a fake smile on her lips.

"M...Ms. Madison. Your father -"

I dragged my pillow to my face, pressing it on my ear.

I didn't want to hear anything about anyone.

Why couldn't they just leave me alone.

"Rave is with him." Though I tried but I couldn't block out everything she said.

And this particular one caught my attention.

My eyes roamed around the room and for the first time that period, I noticed that Rave was absent.

I sat up straight, panicked.

"Where's my baby?" I asked, my voice small.

This was the most I had even spoken for a long while.

I was surprised I still even had my voice with me.

"That's what I'm trying to explain to you, Ms." The maid breathed, picking up used tissue paper from the ground and trashing them in the bin.

She used gloves, don't worry.

"Okay?"

She sighed, a sad look on her face. She acted like she didn't know how to deliver the message to me.

Oh God

My baby.

What had they done to him?

"Is he dead?" I croaked out, my heart beat racing.

The tears had begun to build up from within, my eyes stinging.

"Not yet... But Don Ivano said it'll be dead if ... If you don't meet with Don Russo today." The maid looked at me, sadly. "This is the sixth attempt, Ms. He's getting really frustrated."

It was true.

I had refused to have any fucking dinner with Russo.

I had promised to go and failed.

Sure, my father spiraled and yelled but I was too numb to even let any of it get to me.

But now that Rave was involved?

I couldn't let anything happen to my baby.

That was the only thing that was dear to my heart.

A representation of the one person I truly loved. With all of my fucking heart.

"I'll go." My voice came out as a whisper. "Tell him I'll go. Then come back to help me prepare."

She smiled brightly, dashing out of the room.

They were all so happy to get rid of me, weren't they?

Or maybe she's saving you from Ivano's wrath?

Whatever.

When the maid returned with Rave, she was so kind and gentle with me until I managed to dress up and all.

Ruffling Rave's furs, I cooed. "I'll be back okay? It won't take time. Be a good boy!"

"The car is ready, Ms. Madison." The maid announced, holding out my bag for me.

I nodded, waving at Rave. Then I turned to her, "Please ensure it eats well okay?"

The maid nodded, assuring me. "I'll make sure of that."

As I strolled down the stairs, my eyes met with that of my fathers, from where he gave out orders to few dangerous looking men.

"Behave!" His voice roared. Immediately I understood what he meant.

It was a simple word but it held greater meaning.

My body was screaming at me to turn back home and lock myself upstairs but I didn't put it past Ivano to break down my door and drag me down to this dinner himself.

Who knows, he might as well call a priest to finalize everything.

I wasn't ready for that.

My hand found my eyes, wiping the stray tears that dragged across my cheek, falling to my lap.

"We're here, ma'am." My designated driver said, looking at me through the rearview mirror.

Swallowing hard, I lingered inside the car for a few second before stepping out.

Russo, once sighting me, stood up. My face contorted into a frown as I saw his face.

"Hi Fianceé. I was wondering how long you were going to keep running." He smirked, holding out a chair for me.

It was a 4 chaired table.

Ignoring the chair he pulled out, I sat on another one. I didn't grace him with a greeting.

My face was straight, my eyes looking ahead.

"Still mourning your loss?" He asked, taking the seat beside me.

"Why are you doing this Russo?" I asked, turning to face him. "I don't love you. You know I don't love you but yet you want us to get married."

"Love is not the ultimate goal of a marriage in the Mafia world. I'd be gaining a lot from getting married to you. That's all that matters." Russo smirked.

It was so annoying.

"A part of me will always love Alessandro." I admitted, my eyes fluttering

Don't cry.

I let out a shuddered breath, suppressing the tears.

"And I know he loves you too. He may not have admitted it but his actions towards you says a lot." Russo placed his hand on my knee. "You know, if feels good having something he really wants but can't have. It'll kill him."

Russo began to laugh, his shoulder shaking.

Even his laugh was annoying and ugly.

I swatted his hand away from my knee.

"I don't care whatever deal you made with my father but I will not get married to you. Especially you." I said through gritted teeth.

"You will. Ivano isn't one to go back on his words." Russo leaned closer. "I'll have you all to myself, Madison. Just like I had always wanted."

"You know, I'm starting to think we were meant for each other." He moved back, smiling sinisterly at me. "I saw you back then, I told Alessandro that I was going to be your new owner... He refused. He swore heaven and earth that he'd die before he let that happen."

He stopped smiling, leaning forward again. I moved back, eyeing him. "But look at us." He placed one hand on my thigh, taking a chunk of my hair in his hand, sniffing it. "We found each other again. You're going to be my wife."

"Get your hands off me, Russo."

"Why?" He trailed his hand you my thigh, making me regret wearing a dress. "Do I affect you? Are you wet for me?"

My face crunched up in disgust.

"You make me sick, Russo. That's why." I placed my hand on the table, slowly moving it without him noticing.

"I bet your pussy would be saying otherwise. If you were attracted to Alessandro who isn't as good looking as me, then I know you'll be soaking wet for me." He whispered, pushing his hand further.

"Fuck you." I growled, taking a hold of the fork that laid on the table, stabbing it in his hand.

He pushed his chair back, screaming. The waiters rushed to him.

I took that as my cue to run, but inside the bathroom. Locking the door, I rested my back on it.

Ivano was going to kill me.

But I didn't feel guilty about what I did.

He had it coming.

How dare he?

My stomach churned. I could feel my guts raising to throat. My hand flew to my mouth, suppressing whatever until I got to the sink.

I held my hair back with one hand, puking out my guts. After going a few more round, I sighed weakly. My knees bucked, making me hold the sink for support.

After flushing everything down the drain, I arranged my hair in the mirror, looking at how pale and white my skin was.

My phone pinged from my bag.

Ivano.

Frowning slightly, I dragged my phone from my bag.

It was a notification

From Flo... My period tracker.

My hand swiped up the screen, clicking on it.

My heart stopped beating as I stared at my screen, my head spinning.

Fuck.

I had missed my period by 7 days?
