Chapter 92 Moving
Deciding to finally get back to the ruckus which unfolded in the dead of the night, Luciano was unsurprised to hear vehicles leaving the mansion.
Everything just seemed to happen as it did, and he was glad he went to the bunker to clear his head.
He didn't want to start thinking of what would have happened if he had let his guard down.
Gently taking a seat in the main living room, Luciano stayed put, doing some work on his phone as he waited for the rest of the staff to wake up.
Madam Paula was the first to descend the stairs, quite shocked to see Luciano sitting gently, his phone in his hands.
"Oh my God Don!", Madam Paula shrieked slightly, afterall, it was a very unexpected sight.
Simply sharing a look and going back to his phone, Madam Paula recovered from her slight shock.
"Would you like breakfast sir?!", She inquired, wondering what Luciano needed.
What's going on? He would usually be in his room by this time of the day, Madam Paula thought as she awaited Luciano's reply.
"Not now at the very least! There's something to announce later!", Luciano simply replied.
However, his sentence only caused Madam Paula to spiral.
The Don never waited for them to make an announcement, she really didn't know what was going on.
"Is anything wrong sir?!", Madam Paula asked again, genuinely worried.
"Absolutely not", Luciano briefly replied, doing nothing to calm the numerous questions that popped in Madam Paula's head.
"Okay! I'll start breakfast now!", Madam Paula said, heading to the kitchen
Luciano stood up and walked to his room, deciding to get a few things before he left first to the lake house.
If he were being honest with himself, he didn't want to stay in the mansion any longer, the fond memories of Isabella had been corrupted by the dead bodies that were moved out of the mansion.
The mansion was the neutral ground, there was no unaliving, it was simply supposed to be his peace.
Andreas headed to Luciano's room, silently contemplating if he should have gone to the bunker instead, after all, that was the last place he saw Luciano.
However, je was rather unfazed to see the tall, broad - backed figure with ink all over his back.
Entering the open door, and passing by the spot where he shot the intruders, It became evident to Andreas that Luciano was packing.
"Whoa!, this is sudden!", Andreas commented
"We're moving!", Luciano simply responded, not shifting his attention from the clothes he was packing.
"Even more sudden!", Andreas commented.
"I'll leave first, I'll have my food on the way, so tell Madam Paula to pack it up. You all can join me later today!", Luciano said.
"Alright! Will that be all?!", Andreas asked, bringing out his tablet to note down further instructions.
"Hmm! I want a cleaning service in here as soon as possible! Plus I need a driver stationed in the lake house!", Luciano replied, answering Andreas' question.
"What about the search!?!", Andreas prompted, referring to that which concerned Isabella.
He watched Luciano pause in his movements before replying to him.
"The move doesn't affect the search! Go ahead and prepare the car, I'll only take a few minutes!", Luciano finished as he zipped the bag.
As he headed towards his bathroom to freshen up, he heard the door to hai room being closed.
Andreas' question had him remember the most minute details he could of Isabella.
Not a single day passed that he didn't think of her, especially how he had wronged her with what he had done that night.
However, as his guilty pleasure, he could never actually say he regretted the action.
While the Mafia Don reminisced his growing feelings for a lady that used to work as his maid, the death of the intended assassins spread like wildfire.
The news came with judgement however, some berating their actions and some commending their intentions.
However, they all agreed on one thing, they shouldn't have even planned on taking out the Mafia Don himself, especially in his own house.
This however only made Nico thirst for revenge even more. He knew it would be slow, but he definitely would.
Mia stood transfixed, trying so hard to calm her nerves in order not to be suspected.
She had been quite shaken earlier that morning to see their plans had foiled, it had left her wondering whether to disappoint her anonymous caller or keep the news to herself.
However, as she sat beside Madam Paula hearing what Andreas had to say, she started to spiral.
Drowning out the rest of his announcement as she heard the vital points, she started to think...
How would I start making calls when we move?
How long do I have to stay quiet and endure this treatment?
Have they caught on to my act?
"...okay?!", Mia heard as she was jolted out of her thoughts.
"Are you okay?!", Andreas repeated, wondering what was going on with Mia.
She had seemed out of it since the bodies were being taken care of.
"Yeah I am
I'm okay!", Mia replied, letting out a stoic smile.
This is getting harder, she thought.
"I know you're still shook! How about you go ahead and get some rest in the meantime. We don't have to leave as early! You can start packing later!", Andreas said, his sentence coming from a soft spot for Mia.
"Ohh okay!", Mia replied, taking the opportunity to go back to her room.
She was in such a rush that as soon as she entered, she forgot to lock the door behind her.
I need to tell him as soon as possible, she thought.
Mia was very well aware she wouldn't get the chance to have as much communication with her anonymous caller in the lake house.
At the moment, she wasn't looking forward to getting caught.
Bringing out the phone from the disguised tile, she opted to send a quick text message, one that would contain everything going on at the mansion and the situation it would put her in.
What she didn't expect was Andreas waltzing into her room, unsuspecting that she would be plotting against The Don.
