Chapter 122 One last visit
Celia was quite confused.
'Was Isabella in trouble!', she thought to herself as she saw the armed men.
'Who was Isabella dealing with?!'
She couldn't stop thinking like that, especially because of her silence. However, she didn't know Isabella had another plan in mind.
"Wait!
Are you in danger?!", Celia asked as she held Isabella by her arms, causing her to stop midway.
"No, we're not in anger!
Come! You'll see!", Isabella urged as she tried hard not to smile.
"Okay!", Celia said, quite unsure if what was going on.
The stress of wondering where Isabella was had made her forget the actual plan.
Celia rubbed on her wrists, the marks from the zipcuff were starting to become visible.
Isabella opened the door widely, the decorations she had quickly put up stunning Celia.
There, Sophia's attention was captivated by the funny faces Andreas made.
"Tadaaa!", Isabella squealed, grabbing Sophia's attention.
"What?!", Celia said as she walked in.
"I really don't understand what's going on!", she said as a smile appeared on her face.
There would be a party after all.
"We had to do something fast for Sophia
You know!
To celebrate her birthday!", Isabella said, leaving out the part where they would leave soon.
"By we, you mean him?!", Celia whispered as she came to a halt beside Isabella.
"Well, in a way...
That's Luciano's assistant!", Isabella answered.
"I'll leave you ladies now!", Andreas said, leaving the living room to the ladies.
"Alright then!", Isabella said as Andreas left the room.
Celia looked around, confirming they were the only one in the room before she began her array of questions.
"Now would you tell me what's going on?!", she asked, the smile instantly wiped from her face.
Her excitement was quickly replaced with seriousness.
"Okay!
You were literally...!", Isabella drawled, trying to find a word.
"...bound!
So I'll give you a fruit juice or something while we sit and talk!", Isabella said as she brought Celia to one of the sofas.
She headed to the kitchen soon after, pouring Celia a glass as she had said.
Isabella wasn't surprised to see Sophia on Celia's laps when she returned.
She felt quite bad that they would be leaving soon.
There was nothing much she could do, nothing at all.
Luciano had just dispelled the news that morning, and she refused to indulge in it, trying not to get ideas to escape later.
He had specifically warned her not to speak about it
"Now would you tell me what...!", Celia drawled as Sophia called out to Celia with a smile on her face.
"Cece!", Sophia said in such a calm voice.
One of Sophia's very first words...
Her voice calmed the lingering fear.
She was rather quiet, and Isabella was starting to get worried.
'how would I get her to talk now that we're leaving!?', Isabella asked herself.
"Un bambino così carino!", Celia cooed as Sophia smiled.
She suddenly stood upright, as if realizing something.
"This is not going to work, Isa!
You have to tell me what's going on!", Celia urged.
"I didn't even plan anything!", Isabella said, shifting the glass from Sophia's legs.
She didn't want her mistakenly spilling the drink.
"Her father!
He used to be my boss.
I got pregnant....!", Isabella started.
"I already know these things Isabella!
Say something that I don't know
Something I can recount to Esteban
He... !", Celia said, reminding Isabella of another thing Luciano said.
"You can't tell him!", Isabella exclaimed before she took a deep breath.
"Why not?!", Celia questioned, seeing nothing wrong with the interaction.
"You can't tell him you saw me
Or that you came here
Or that you know where we are!!
Infact!
You have to act like you don't even know where I am!", Isabella said in a rush.
She wasn't trying to get Celia in trouble.
"Then what do you want me to tell him?
When the search gets serious?
When he really wants answers!", Celia asked, she was starting to wonder what was really going on.
"Look! Just promise me you won't say a word!
You have to promise me you would never tell him where I am!", Isabella urged.
Seeing the desperation in her eyes, Celia reluctantly agreed.
"Fine!", She said, Sophia playing with the buttons on her shirt.
"Look
You didn't even need to ask, I was going to tell you anyway!", Isabella confessed.
"Okay fine!
I'm waiting!", Celia said, quite tense as she waited for the explanation.
Isabella looked around before she started talking, like she was about to reveal some deep, dark secret.
"He suddenly showed up, and he wanted his daughter.
Look!
Look at all this...
Do you think I could possibly say no, or run away or do something crazy?!", Isabella asked as Celia actually looked around.
Sighing, she continued.
"We have to stay with him, we have to stay here for a while!
He's Powerful Celia.
You can't tell Esteban you saw me.
Ever!
Just tell him I called and told you I went home!", Isabella said calmly.
"But...!", Celia started, trying to refute.
"There's no but Celia.
I wouldn't willingly leave the calm that I've come to know!
It was only a matter of time!
He was going to find me anyway!", Isabella explained.
"Okay!
Will we ever get to talk again!?", Celia asked, actually concerned.
"We will
But not anytime soon!", Isabella said, speaking the truth.
"Well!
What do I say now, or do?!", Celia asked as she hugged Sophia to her chest.
That was probably going to be the last time she saw Sophia.
"Well!
We could start the day by cooking together!", Isabella suggested, trying to uplift the mood.
Nothing too much, however, it did work.
The ladies loved to cook together, and then, it would be something they would remember for the months to come.
They soon opened a bottle of wine, surrendering to the tipsy feeling of the liquid.
The makeshift party soon came to an end.
Thus, the promise Celia made became effective.
Along with the detail that Luciano had promised.
The detail she would soon have an entanglement with.
