Chapter 160 Don't stop

Chapter 160 Don't stop
Ravyen's POV
I took a glance at this girl as she looks weak and weary. She maintained a distance from us.
I got the door opened and gestured to her, ladies first. She stared at the lobby and then inhaled softly.
Certainly, this girl knows who we were talking about and so if she doesn't want to die in my hands, she'd take us there.
But...she also placed her conditions that I should promise she'd be safe and get my approval.
I only nodded with intension of getting rid of her or just abandoning her like she doesn't exist.

It was just as the old times. She brought us to his location. A new place on an isolated island.
It was creepy building which decked out in the wetland forest. The air-dropped a retardant over the forest fire.
My eyes scruntized the place and strange noises were heard.
How I missed being in a combat with tough guys. It seems they were frighten of me except this man who still had his ways of getting involved.
She intended to leave once we arrived outside the building but then she'd be my bait.
We were inside the car, Frank drives,
"You're getting us in!" I ordered as Frank pointed his gun at her forehead.
She threw her hands on her head.
"Get moving" I added and then jumped out of the car.
She got of the car, a bit frighten as she stared at the building and then threw her gaze at me.
Her feet led us inside. They seem to respect her here and she claims we were over there to see piccolo as business partners.
My eyes spotted footsteps on the stair, creaking doors, window shutters rattling on the outside.
The wind scattering/rustling paper through a broken window gap, words whispered in ear, screams, crying, wailing, laughter.
Glass smashing was included, the scrap of a chair moving, the scritch of tree branches scraping at the windows, rats squeaking.
I was intrigued as this place was quite horrible. Each path we took had eyes peering at us.
However, she doesn't let the search. All my eyes did was evaluate this place.
Everywhere has dust, cobwebs, sheets on furniture, broken tables, chairs, windows, lamps, peeling wallpaper.
There were gaps in the floorboards, holes in the walls, flickering lights and chandeliers with broken strings of crystals.
There were ripped curtains, shadows, gloomy staircases, old portraits and paintings, loud moan that got me irritated.
A guy was fucking a whore opposite us, thrusting her hard in the butthole as she gasped for air.
It seems there was no privacy in this large building.
I intended to take a peep but Frank obstructed my view. He did that purposely, acting like Arianna's side kick.
There was no harm in feeding my eyes. Annoyingly, I shifted my gaze at Vanessa who walked pass them
It was obvious she has a record here judging from how she looked around.
I walk closely beside her, and questioned her about her name, just so if it'd ring a bell.
At least, I should know the name of my business partner. She brought us to an elevator, ignoring my question and we waited for it to chime open.
She folded her arms as Frank and I glared at her.
"Vanessa" she mutters with grief in her eyes. I gasped softly trying not to believe that's her name.
I was startled by that name that I couldn't breath. It felt as though my past was taunting me.
A sense of guilt suddenly flushes through me as I folded my lips, glued to a spot as we wait to get into the elevator.
She was piccolo's daughter and the girl from five years ago who I...
"Boss? We're in" Frank reminded and I realized they had gotten into the elevator except me.
They were three other men with us, having weapons of different kinds.
The elevator's door closes and when it opens again, the men's corpse lay wasted inside the elevator.
Frank had shot them as they seem to be suspecting us.
We got to the seventh floor, to approach piccolo but then realized it was heavily guarded with 10 men.
We found a spot to hide from them while navigating a way to get in. My eyes didn't leave her as regrets filled me up.
I was anxious around her but she acted as though she doesn't know me and it was for the best or not because she certainly hates me.
She informed us that piccolo might actually be in a meeting and hates interference.
However, she tells us that she'd try to convince guards. That's because, if we don't get him now, we might never cross path with him again.
Her words gave me goosebumps but we or rather I trusted her blindly. However what baffles me is why she was willing to hand me over to her father, why she was the one who acted as the middle man to get the contract signed.
Something felt fishy and I just couldn't fanthom for what exactly.
What she exchanged with the guards didn't really register in my head but from the looks of it, they were refusing her access.
Annoyingly, I took my gun and shot one in the head.
Vanessa gave me a frown and I shrugged my shoulders. It's a slip, I just didn't want to waste my time negotiating if they'd let us in or not.
That spur their anger as they began to shoot at us but Frank was quick to gun them down.
Unfortunately, one of them had rang the alarm and piccolo's gangs rushed out to attack us.
I beckoned on her to stay behind me that i'd protect her but she scoffed unbelievably.
"What made you change your mind? My name or the past?"
Immediately she asked me that question, a bullet ran through us and I had to pull her aside to avoid the bullet.
She pants softly and suddenly ceased my gun, embraced me and shot three gun shots were heard from behind me.
She refrained from the embrace and when I shoved my gaze, I saw five men laying dead.
I widened my eyes at her and gasped as she shot the men swiftly. More men keeps coming and we had to form a team to hinder them.
She was quite fast and the way her kicks and...
Fuck was she the assassin that attacked me in Spain? If she was this strong, why did she act weak and vulnerable?
Or, the memories of the past still haunts her and the sight of me must have triggered it.
Her plead, her cry, her grief and my mockery laughter, they now resound in my ears. I had forgotten there was just one life I ruined.
