Chapter 158 I almost died
Fortunately, we were released from the precinct and I told Tyler i'd like to leave. It turns out he didn't want to let me go.
However, I told him that no one can seperate Ivan and I. He told me he just can't trust Ivan but I told him, Ivan and I go a long way back.
He let go of me and when I got to Ivan's house, I was welcomed by his rage. He didn't give me a chance to speak and accused me of cheating
Elena's POV
Soon, he began to hit me like a punching bag. I thought he loved me.
My body aches and I could barely moved. It was as though I was trapped in a cage while my body were stuffed with thorn.
It was painful, having to witness my death. That push, cost me my life.
Blood drool from my head as I could see my past life flash pass me.
I could hear his voices.
He seem tensed over themselves, not over me. It was so obvious he wanted me out of the way and this was the best they could result to.
"I'd decimate you..." He growl.
I would have survived if he took me to the hospital on time.
He left me, in my subconscious state for two hours if I'm not mistaken, celebrating my death.
I almost died or something.
If I were ever given a chance, I swear to revenge and make his life miserable. I'd take everything he'd everything he loves.
The last I could recall was seeing myself in my own pool of blood.
But then, it felt as though I was drowning, in a vast sea and a something like a figure swim towards me.
I couldn't see it clearly but it was a masculine figure, his hair covered his face as he stretched his hand at me.
He paused and took a glimpse at his watch again. I couldn't count how many times he did that but then, I knew something was up.
"Consider him dead"
I widened my eyes at him. Was that his way of saying he's jealous?
I folded my lips as his breath poured on my face. I could barely concentrate not until an announcement came in.
His eyes scruntized mine as though searching for an answer. Goosebumps held me as I wasn't thinking straight anymore.
I ducked my head, feeble and mousey. Silence had me as I was afraid, desiring he should leave while I reminisce on the body I was trapped in.
He then rose up and paced towards the door. My mind was distracted until he called that name again.
"Elena?"
"Sir?" I answered rising from the bed and trying to stand properly to give a bow. However, I tripped on my feet and almost fell but he was quick to catch me and i landed on his chest.
His arms flew to my waist as my head was buried on his chest. My heartbeat was embarrassing as it was so loud and annoying.
I slowly raised my head to look at him, my lips parts a little.
When he stares, I felt a knot tying in my stomach. I was quivering under his hold.
He looked familiar though, like we've met before facially.
"Is this your way of seducing me?" He suddenly asked and my stomach grumbles.
Hastily, I tried to break out of his hold but he was firm and timid that I suck my breath.
My muscle losen as I was becoming soft and more weak. His eyes on me darkens.
I didn't know why I was feeling this way but I didn't like it.
"You asked for it and I couldn't resist it"
"I..."
Before I could say out my heart, he captured my lips and kissed me. He twirl my tongue to his taste as I froze.
When he had broke out of the kiss, I stuttered, feeling dizzy and moaned unintentionally.
He released me and gulped hard. A tear dropped from my eyes. It had been a while I witnessed such m a long and intense kiss.
However, that shouldn't be in my head. This body was his but not the soul possessing it.
"Get ready tonight, your bodyguard will bring you to me" he concluded and I squint my eyes at him.
"What's happening tonight?" I asked with a frown that his kiss made my cheeks flush red.
He gave me no response and left me standing clueless.
He thinks I know it all.
As soon as he was gone, I heaved a sigh as though I escaped another death.
My cheeks blushes and I felt stupid. I didn't want to get involved in this empress affairs and finding Ivan to make him pay was my top priority.
I shook my head to return back to the bed when the door knob opens.
My eyes witnesses another man, dressed in royalty and standing before me. He had spread his arms.
"My love, you survived!" He exclaimed and I felt drowsy. I guess he was her lover, the man the emperor speaks about.
His name was Scott, according to rossa's memory. I didn't move and he hasten up to embrace me.
"Elena, you're alive!" He said kissing me everywhere on my face. I felt disgusted.
"I'm so sorry I couldn't come earlier" he whispers and I faked a smile. Scott scoops me in his hand and I broke out of quickly.
My ex? I really had them many, more like a harem but Ivan won me over.
He seems stunned by my actions but then I was quick to tell me that I was still recovering.
He gave me a wry smile and heaved softly.
"Remember, we assassinate Ivan tonight! Then you'd get united with your lover again"
"What?" I exclaimed rubbing my forehead and jinxed at his words.
"Is anything wrong sis?"
Oh, we were related, that was a relief. Who was her lover?
He added sounding it in a way to help me recall.
"Don't you recall?"
"Oh...yes I do but what's happening tonight?" I asked in between my teeth and stepping away from him as he drew closer.
I could tell he was trying every means to touch me, to hold me.
Scott was my protective younger brother who was quite touchy.
"Don't you know what's happening tonight?" He rhetorically asked with a curious gaze at me.
"Memory loss, I can't really recall much after the fall" i defended faking a smile. I wish he'd leave too.
He pulled a frown and paced towards the window while I stood behind, with probing eyes at him.
"Well tonight..."
"Elena? You're alive?" A feminine voice called. It sounded like an old lady. I threw my face and found her by the door.
She was a young woman but had a deep voice. When our eyes met, she smiled at me.
"Oh, I missed you" she said spreading her arms at me but I cringe. How comes my family came to rescue me?
She embraced me and Scott stepped back while clearing his throat.
"Hey love, I was about telling you she's awake" he said gesturing to me through signs that I couldn't understand.
She terminated the embrace and I felt revealed that I wasn't in her hold again.
This girl blushes and then shifted her face to Scott while throwing her arms on his neck.
I still felt drowsy and stuttered ahead of them while they kiss. They must have forgotten I was right there.
Their act reminded me of Ivan and Sonia. For a moment, I felt like grabbing a knife and stabbing them both.
I inhaled softly, folded my fist as I took a long glimpse at them.
However, I was getting a blurry vision and I suddenly saw a finger with a ring punching my face as my body swivel to the ground.
