Chapter 201 Daddy's Daughter (CALIA)

Chapter 201 Daddy's Daughter (CALIA)
It took five days for Elion to show up at the hospital again. I tried not to think the worst of him, but my mind kept picturing him with his sluts.
"Elion, you're going overboard with those gifts."
"Nothing is too much when it comes to my daughter."
He had brought so many gifts that Lea's hospital room was packed. The sight of all those gifts filling the room made my head spin.
"How many more gifts did you bring? Why do they keep coming?"
I stood in the doorway with my hands on my hips, watching the couriers place Lea’s gifts in the corner of the room. My daughter’s hospital room had turned into a toy store. And this was only the first day since Elion had officially become her father. I couldn't imagine what lay ahead for Lea as Elion Starling’s daughter; I bet he was going to spoil her rotten.
"Not that many."
Elion walked over to Lea, carrying a teddy bear three times her size.
"Uncle, you brought me so many gifts."
"Because you’ve been such a brave girl."
"They gave me a shot, but I didn't cry."
"Good girl," Elion said, stroking the top of her head.
"You... you came to our apartment in Amsterdam, didn't you?"
"Yes."
"Are you Mommy's new friend?"
"No. I’m your Daddy."
"Daddy?"
"Yes."
"What about Papa Dimitry?"
"He’s a motherfucker. I’m your Daddy. Call me Daddy from now on."
"Elion," I warned him.
"What the hell are you doing? You’re teaching my child to curse."
"It’s the truth. That motherfucker stole my daughter and my wife."
"I’m not your wife anymore."
"You are my wife. Remember your promise."
I growled. He was going to use that against me for the rest of my life to keep me bound to him.
"Mommy, is he really my Daddy?" I smiled at Lea and nodded.
“Yes, sweetheart. He’s your Daddy.”
“Daddy...”
My heart stirred at the sparkle of happiness in Lea’s eyes when she met her daddy for the first time. Elion picked her up, and she clung to his chest like an adorable little koala.
“I’m sorry it took me so long to meet you, honey.”
“Daddy, don’t leave Mommy and me again.”
“Never. We’ll be together forever.”
I roughly wiped a tear from my cheek.
“Don’t make promises to Lea that you can’t keep.”
“I’ll keep my promise. We’ll be together forever. You’ll be my wife again.”
I scoffed.
“I’m not just going to become your wife again, Elion. I’ve learned my lesson.”
“Lea, look at your mom. She doesn’t want to get back together with Daddy.”
“Mommy, why don’t you want to get back together with Daddy?”
“Ask your mommy to be my wife again.”
“Mommy, be Daddy’s wife again.”
“Elion, you’re cunning. You’re manipulating Lea.”
He smirked.
“Cunning is my middle name. From now on, Lea is on my team.”
“No way. She’s my daughter.”
“She’s my daughter, too.”
“Mom, Dad, why are you two fighting?”
Elion stroked her chubby cheek with the back of his hand.
“We aren’t fighting. It’s just how we express our love,” he winked at me.
“You bastard,” I muttered, careful not to curse in front of Lea. But that was going to be hard, because he was Elion. The man deserved every curse word in the book.
It didn't take long for Lea to become completely attached to Elion. They played together, and Lea refused to let go of him for even a moment. I felt a twinge of jealousy seeing them together. Usually, Lea was by my side, relying on me, but suddenly she only wanted to be with Elion.
"Daddy, what if this monster eats me while I'm sleeping?" Lea pointed to a picture of a monster in her new book.
"No, I won't let that monster get anywhere near my beautiful daughter."
"Elion, aren't you going to the office?"
"I only go to the office when I feel like it."
"Yeah, whatever."
"What about you? Not working?"
"I asked Mr. Foster for time off until Lea gets better."
"When is she allowed to leave the hospital?"
"If her lab results are good, she can go home tonight."
"Okay. I'll have Edward prepare dinner for us."
I raised my eyebrows.
"Dinner? At your mansion?"
"Why? Do you have plans for tonight?"
"No. But Dimitry is driving us back to our apartment later."
"You don't need his help anymore. You have me now."
"I didn't mean—"
My words were cut off by a knock on the door. Dimitry appeared, wearing a lab coat with a stethoscope draped around his neck. He froze when he saw Elion sitting on the gurney with Lea.
