Chapter 76 Twenty Spanks

Chapter 76 Twenty Spanks

Lorenzo’s POV

The last thing on my mind was to face Nolan and hear him blab rubbish about me keeping Eve against her will. So I ignored him when I got closer to them and faced only Evelyn.

“I repeat again, what were you two discussing?”

She shook her head, her eyes wide open. “What? N-No….. nothing.”

From her voice, I already knew. She was never going to tell me the easy way.

I walked past them, Nolan’s gaze glued to me like he was going to strip me bare. “Meet me in the room. Now!”

The words came out harsher than intended before I strolled past them, heading inside, my chest heaving badly from the image of how close Nolan had been to her, and from his pathetic confession of loving her and wanting to help her escape.

I didn’t tell Eve that I had heard everything. The moment our car rolled out of the gateway, I saw them and decided to tell Jack to pull over so I could walk in on them and eavesdrop.

Now, I was going to torture the truth out of her.

That was the point.

Truth meant nothing if it was forced by confession. I needed to hear it from her mouth, stripped of excuses, stripped of fear. I needed to know if she was going to accept Nolan’s offer, and if she would actually want to escape from me again if given the opportunity.

I had Nolan kept here because I knew freeing him would only ease his plan of taking Eve away from me.

But with him here, my men’s eyes around the entire estate, and him having no access to his phone or anyone else, he wouldn’t be able to call for help or succeed in running away with Evelyn.

The door shut behind us with a dull thud.

Eve dragged herself behind me, the fight still alive in her eyes, but her body was tired. Too tired to run. Too tired to scream. She turned sharply to face me, her chest rising, jaw tight.

“I can explain,” she said. “It’s not what you think.”

I said nothing.

I took my time locking the door. Slowly. Carefully. A tiny scoff formed in my throat. She must have taken me for a fool, like I was some kinda dumb fool that would believe her lies.

The door clicked, the sound doing the damage for me. Her shoulders stiffened. Her breathing changed.

Good.

I turned to her, leaning back against the door, arms crossed. Calm. Unbothered. Like nothing outside this room mattered anymore.

“You were having a conversation,” I said evenly. “I guess I interrupted something out there, right?”

Her brows pulled together. “No….. no. It was just a family conversation. Nothing more.”

Laugh my fucking ass off. So she would keep denying it?

I watched her closely, every twitch, every swallow, every breath.

“Evelyn Martins,” I called, trying hard not to snap the thin string holding me together. “You’d better start talking.”

I stepped closer. “Now.”

She didn’t flinch. Her defiance showed all over her. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I already told you, we were talking about family.”

Crap.

I pushed off the door and walked toward her, slow enough to make her nervous.

“Family, my foot,” I said, my eyes roaming over every inch of her exposed skin.

She backed up instinctively until the edge of the bed brushed behind her knees.

“I don’t know what else you want to hear from me right now,” she snapped.

I smiled faintly. “He was planning your escape,” I said bluntly.

Her fingers dug into her palms, her lips trembling.

But she still said nothing.

“Answer me, Eve,” I said softly. “Did you, by any chance, consider his offer?”

The same thing. Silence.

Her lips parted, then pressed together again.

I stepped closer. “Answer me right now.”

She lifted her chin. “No….. no, Lorenzo. You heard wrong.”

Lie.

A very weak one.

I reached out and gripped her wrist—not rough, not gentle, just firm enough to remind her who stood in front of her. I pulled her forward until her body collided with mine.

“Careful, human,” I warned. “This is where people usually start telling the truth.”

Her breath hitched. Her free hand pressed against my chest, not pushing, just resting there, like she didn’t know what else to do.

“I didn’t consider anything,” she said quickly. “I wasn’t going to follow him.”

Nice. But not enough.

I needed to put more fear in her. I couldn’t let her leave me, not now, not when I was beginning to get used to her.

I tilted my head slightly. “Then what was your answer when he told you that he loved you?”

Her eyes flickered in shock. “You….. heard that too…..”

The way she looked, innocent, naïve, and scared made me smirk.

“Of course I did,” I said calmly. “What I want to know now is why you would lie to my face and say he was just family.”

She swallowed, her voice cracking. “He is…. but we were once carried away when we were much younger. Trust me, nothing happened then.”

I loosened my grip slightly, letting her think she was gaining something.

“Evelyn,” I growled.

“Yes,” she answered too fast.

I stepped closer, my voice dropping lower. “You keep making me punish you even when I don’t want to.”

She shook her head. “No, Lorenzo. Hear me out. I don’t feel anything for him anymore.”

“Then we’ll have to find out now.”

I pushed her, letting her fall back onto the soft bed.

She deserved to be punished, not just for her sin, but because I wanted that son of a nobody, Nolan, to know the consequences of crossing boundaries.

Her eyes darted over mine, fear and desire tangling in her expression, but I ignored it. I flipped her over the bed, and her robe rolled up, exposing her bare body, no panties. Exactly the way I had left her.

Very good. Easy access.

I brushed my palm against her soft skin.

“Lorenzo, what are you doing?” she asked quickly, but before she could get an answer, I delivered the first spank.

Her mouth formed a startled “oh.” “Please… you don’t have to do this. The whole house is still awake.”

“Shut it, Eve,” I leaned forward. “You don’t get to decide how this goes.”

“Twenty spanks. That’s it. And you’re going to count them yourself.”

My eyes darkened at the parting of her ass, and something surged through me, the need to spread her wide and make her body learn only me.

But I didn’t. Not now.

I had missed my chance before, when that stupid weakness crept in and stopped me.

Evelyn’s eyes shut tight, pleading.

I forced her face down and delivered another spank. “How many now?”

She startled. “T….. two…..”

Then another. And another.

“Five… twelve… sixteen…”

My gaze lingered on her skin, already turning red, and instead of pity or anger, desire burned through me.

My zipper strained like my cock was about to tear through it.

“Control yourself,” I muttered to myself.

My hand came down again. “Fifteen…..” she counted, repeating numbers, making it obvious she was enjoying this more than she should.

This time, my strike landed harder. “Lorenzo…. oh my….. twelve……”

“Please…… can we stop now?” she cried louder. “They’ll hear us.”

The corner of my lips curved into a dark smile. “No, sweetheart. That’s exactly what you need.”

“Let it out. I want your little boyfriend to hear you scream my name like I’m your lifetime prayer point.”

She swallowed, suppressing her cry in defiance.

Big mistake.

I leaned over her, my chest pressing against her spine, and delivered another spank.

“Eighteen…..”

Another. “Nineteen…..”

Her body trembled against mine as I gave the last one.

“Twenty……”

Her voice came out soundless against the mattress, half-moan, half-breath.

Good.

That was all for today.

I stepped back a little, watching her body quiver from the aftermath of the punishment before leaving the room, her breathing sounding like a melody in my ears.
