CHAPTER 23: - NOTICE

Few days had passed and it was the day when Yash got bailed from the police custody. In these few days, there were interrogation and trials going on and with the lack of evidence Yash got bailed. His father Viraj had hired a top best lawyer to save his son and he had Karan’s support too.

As a freed man Yash came out from the police station, his father was waiting for him inside a BMW car outside the station. Yash opened the back door of the car and settled himself beside his father and driver started to drive towards their mansion. Viraj immediately hugged his son, “How are you, my son?” on breaking the hug Viraj asked. Yash reluctantly replied, “As you can see dad not so good.” Viraj nodded and turned his face watching the outside view pass by.

“Dad, I want to know everything that happened in my absence?” Yash spoke in a calm yet demanding tone.

Viraj faces his son and kept staring at Yash’s face and then Viraj puts his hand inside his coat's pocket and removed a little square shaped ring box. Yash was watching his father with a frowned eyebrows Viraj handed the box in Yash’s hand. Yash opened the box and saw Maya’s engagement ring present inside. “David and Ragni came to my office and broke the engagement, the day when police took you for custody.” By looking at Yash’s face Viraj knew what his son was about to do. “Listen to me, I know what you are thinking and I am warning you. Don’t you dare to do something and create another mess. For now, forget about that girl there are more important things which needs your attention more than her, she will be the reason of our disaster.” Hearing his father, he holds the ring box tightly in his fist that its corners are digging into his skin, he knew that his father was right. Silence filled inside the car as nobody is talking and busy in their own chain of thoughts. They only came out from their thoughts when the driver informed them about the arrival of their destination.

The father and son duo stepped their foot inside a mansion. Kaviya who was standing near a window in her room, saw their arrival of the car through a window in excitement to meet with her brother she ran downstairs as fast as she could. Yash opens his arms spread for his dear little sister with a smile on his face Kaviya throw herself in his arms and hugged him tightly Yash also reciprocated the hugged. One hand Yash kept on her back and he was rubbing her hair lovingly with his other hand. Both siblings loved each other dearly, they are each other’s world, but Viraj on the other hand only cared and love his son Yash. He never in his life spoke gently with Kaviya nor did he care about her. Yash was the sole person who he cared and loved her after their mother (Manvi) who died years ago. Yash and Kaviya broke the hug, Kaviya glanced at their father and stepped her one foot forward to hug him but Viraj just walked past her ignoring her presence completely and said, “Bring coffee for us”. Without turning back Viraj instructed her like she was a maid working in mansion.

Kaviya was hurt once again by her father’s cruel behaviour towards her. She retreated her steps back looking down on the floor. Tears welled up in her eye’s corners Yash tapped on her head with his hand indicating her not to worry he will always be with her to protect her from any harm. She smiled at his sweet gesture for Kaviya. She curt nod at Yash and left for the kitchen to prepare coffee.

Yash took out his phone and called his PA Suraj.

“Come to my house now.”

“Ok, sir.”

Yash ended the call. Yash walked in the direction of the living room and sat opposite his father Viraj. Just then the doorbell rang. A maid opens the door and a postman was standing with a brown colour envelope on his hands, maid took it from him. The maid came inside the living room and handed the envelope to their master Viraj, he gestured the maid with his fingers to disperse from the place. Yash was sitting with legs crossed his right-hand elbow was on the armchair and his fingers supporting his chin and his left hand was on the armchair grabbing the handle and with a curious look on his face as he watched his father moves. Viraj opened the envelope; the envelope contained a letter. Viraj started reading the letter. Yash got the feared look as few lines formed on his father’s forehead; Yash never saw his father like that. All this time Yash thought that the person seated in front of him was a fearless person, and a king who would like to give orders.

“What is that letter from and what is written in that letter dad?”

With a deep breath Viraj replied “It’s a notice letter from court?”

Viraj was sure that David will tell Aarav and Darsh about Jairaj not being their biological father. Viraj planned to kill David before he can tell them but David and his family were staying with Aarav’s family. And David didn’t come out from the mansion. Viraj thought that once he saves his son then afterwards, he will deal with David. But Viraj didn’t expected David to be this fast. Viraj was busy to save and to free his son Yash from murder case. Viraj knew that David was doing all this just to get revenge from him for not fulfilling his promise twice.
